It was an enjoyable event with Jim and friends. Looking forward to the next one , last weekend of January 2017. You would be warmly welcomed to join us if not too longer journey. I must say you would win the award for endurance viewing of my videos. Thanks for your kind comments.
If I had a ticket and time from work ..we would be there with bells on.!..ha ha... But unfortunately I will have to watch the fun from the U.S. in its winter doldrums. So yeah...its a little far away..ha ha. Trying to stir up some interest here for a local group. And thanks to one of Jim's posts from last September ..I may have struck a chord with someone. I will let you know how it goes. Your video...Jim's Glenn's (here in the states) and all the others that post even randomly keep my interest keen. I am not retired yet...maybe another year or two and I want something to keep me active. Flying is the perfect hobby..seems you can spend as much or little as you like for the basics. And its a good reason to be out of doors. We have been busy at work and home. My husband is already retired and is doing much mending of the house. We need it in order to ready us for downsizing. We have nearly 30 acres and find it absurd to try to maintain it. And of course lots of trees and only a patch or two here or there to lift a kite for testing. I go to a neighbors hillside (he has a concert venue) to fly the good stuff. So we will be looking for a place more on the flat and open.--and no power lines paleeeeeese! So are goals are set...in the mean time you boys down under do a swell job of keeping the mojo going on a kite flyers retirement dreams. Both you and Jim do a fantastic job of setting the scene..showing off the kites and giving us tid bits of the excursions you take. Big or little they are shown at their best. So ...know that its all appreciated and I will check in to see 'What's-What' from the land far away....P
Brilliant, Carl! I don't know why I bothered making my video. But spell my name right next time or I'll make you do it all over again! This is definitely the definitive video account of Kite Day.
Dont give up on the videos , I'll have no one to copy. It was a great day out flying and made perfect by the supply of the homemade delicious sandwiches.
Brilliant, Carl! Once again, I enjoy the telling of the story from a second perspective. I wouldn't be too worried about the name spelling error. I just wonder whether you sold the centipede "flap" kite out from under Jim (ha!). You did have a beautiful shot of the PL kites. They looked like new stock. What video editing gear are you using now. The quality seems very good. Glenn
Hi Glenn. I did enjoy the day it was so nice just to see the public enjoying the kites and so many were flying their own. Yes I spelt the bosses name wrong. Can you imagine if I had sold his Centipede. I somehow even forgot to tell the enquirers that the kites weren't all mine. I am still using the free Serif MoviePlus Starter Edition. I am reluctant to spend updating as it does all I want. I think any improvement to quality would come from using a better video camera.I am filming on a little Samsung WB 250 I wonder if Jim is ready to pass his on ?
