Great question Alok. I will do my best to answer your queries. 1) The school system is taken care by the Province. As long as the child is enrolled in public school, we believe the only thing that you might have to pay for is books and other activities outside the school. 2) Basic health benefits are provided for by your province of residence. This includes doctor visits, basic blood tests etc. The time to see a doctor these days are getting longer so definitely do not expect to see one as fast as you can in India. If you need extended care such as the need of a hospital bed, ambulance, physiotherapy etc, you need to have extended health insurance. If you are working, more often than not, employer will provide you with this. But that said, depending on your coverage and insurance provider, some costs may be excluded or you might have to pay a smaller amount from pocket. 3) We think that you will have to apply for a open work permit for your wife and possible a study visa for your child after you receive yours. My advice is that you speak to a CCIC approved Immigration consultant or lawyer. Hope this helps.

Hey Swathi. I am not sure what type of jobs you are looking for and where in Canada you are located. I can only speak to Edmonton but I am sure it will apply to other major cities as well but I have seen lots of restaurant owners post asking for workers and helping set up LMIA's. Please see if you can either go to a store (maybe Indian) and speak directly with an owner about this. Else, you can look on Fb on your cities indian community page and ask for leads. Hi Monika, as per my experience and understanding applying to foreign countries, they usually prefer expats who already have a Visa (either work or PR). They do not entertain applications without Visa as the companies usually avoid to bear cost of Visa sponsorship. Other option is through internal company transfer if your husband has good connection with any Managers or MDs in Canada from his organization. Both of these scenarios are rare and based on luck. But this scenario has changed for certain States. In this case, the Canada Govt and few state govts have come up with a collaboration to provide Work Visa who can actually fit their criteria. So this is a good opportunity to apply for specific companies mentioned in this video. If selected, they will provide long term work visa and other benefits without any IELTS or Fund balance or consultation fees. All the Best!

Before asking question - Do you guys understand - Lot of profession are Licensed in Canada and they need Canadian License for it. You can apply as security guard at Power Plant but that also need security license
