I was milliseconds away from no shielding my yveltal against the shadow mewtwo but then I remembered what Mr Slice runs on his and quickly clicked the shield 🤣
When I ran the Sims for conk once we found out the move. I did sim brutal and stone. I assumed that was the set. When masters come around, I think I'll try that.
Somebody in my group chat suggested going for Brutal Swing/Stone Edge and I gotta say I like the idea a lot. According to pvpoke it's an improvement all across the board, either with or without baiting. Even in this video, Dynamic Punch was used a grand total of 3 times, once on a Zacian.
Id suggest that stone edge instead of dynamic punch would be better based on this video! Counter does enough fast move pressure by itself as a fighting move, and the stone edge would give it better coverage :)
Tbh I was thinking the only reason to run dy punch would be on ss with poison jab. Would most likely draw out some fairy's and have good coverage, but with counter def stone edge
This community day I caught my first ever shundo ( shiny 100 iv ) I will never forget this Working on best buddying my shundo conkeldurr Hope everyone have a good time
I think in master league yeah fliers and fairies are bigger problems, but in Ultra League with big ghosts like Giratina and Trevenant, and big psychics like Cresselia, I think brutal swing is better
I really think that counter does so much damage that brutal swing+stone edge might be the optimal move set. You lose the hard hitting STAB damage for neutral matchups, but being able to hit fairies and flyers is worth it for how common they both are in open masters and premier
@8:20 Conkeldurr does comfortably win CMP over Origin Forme Giratina *but* only due to the 9% nerf applied to the latter since its max level 40 CP would reach 4,000 without it. If Niantic didn’t apply this nerf, then Giratina would barely win CMP.
Cant wait to use it in ML. Zamasenta has been useless for me 🤣, and I dont have enough candy for a busszwole max. Got myself 2000xl timbur candy today so just gotta get a lucky one and then we good
Stone Edge is definitely nice but problem is most the times you really will not make it to one before you get KO'd (against Togekiss) and against Xerneas/Zacian you may get one off but they will have a massive energy lead against you which is pretty bad by then, but being able to do some chip damage onto them with a cheaper Brutal Swing can sometimes pay off to help your other pokemons cleanup after. Though usually nice to have 2 built incase if you want a different playstyle or future changes.
Seven of the top ten in usage resist counter, it’s just a Dialga counter that loses to everything else and nobody will use it over Dialga counters that can actually beat other stuff
@@LukeNichols19 I understand the resistances in the top ten, but anymore you also don't see people slavishly running the top ten in the meta anymore. Not to mention "it loses in the sims" is an incredibly reductive counter in the first place. I'm not fully discounting your point but I promise it's gonna have more play than you (or PvPoke) will give it credit for.
@@jkwashko idk what you’re even talking about, I didn’t mention sims or pvpoke. I don’t think you know what usage means because your statement about it doesn’t make any sense. Usage is literally what people are using lol This Pokémon will literally have zero usage at 3K+ and nobody cares what pvpoke says, idk why you brought that up?
@@jkwashko Nice deflection, why not engage with what I said instead of being braindead. There’s a difference between sims and usage lol. I’ll be sure to post the 3K+ usage after the next masters rotation and it won’t have any. It loses to literally everything in the top ten besides Dialga, nobody will be running this at high tiers I mean I hit legend last week and every season I’ve played as well as leaderboards. I can upload screenshots or a video to my RU-vid for proof, I do just fine 😏 Edit: check out my last two shorts, im far better than you and I actually play/understand high level masters meta
