Info from Billboard article: 💥Thursday (June 20) BTS‘ Jimin revealed the full track list for his upcoming second solo album, MUSE. The seven-song LP due out on July 19 will feature the intro song “Rebirth,” as well as “Interlude : Showtime,” the pre-release song “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” (featuring Loco), “Slow Dance” (featuring Sofia Carson), as well as “Be Mine,” “Who”, (single can now be purchased as presale aside from 2 versions MUSE album), and “Closer Than This” (which dropped in December.) Jimin, 28, helped write six of the song according to a release, also finally listed as one of the producers for the first 2 songs, (though shown in Jimin’s documentary his involvement in producing all his songs), which also noted that the announcement from BIGHIT Music featured a vintage feel via images of old-school cassette tapes representing each song, with an overarching theme of “love” connecting all the tracks. The hip-hop/R&B-leaning focus song, “Who,” was produced by Grammy-nominated singer/producer Jon Bellion, along with Pete Nappi, Tenroc, Pdgogg and GHSTLOOP, with a vibe described as “intense bounce and guitar sound.” In addition, the pre-release song “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” draws inspiration from marching bands, “blending hip-hop elements with the big band sound characterized by a large-scale orchestra, creating an upbeat, lively rhythm and dynamic atmosphere thanks to an assist from South Korean rapper Loco.” Other contributors to the album include Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber), as well as producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP and EVAN, who also worked on Jimin’s first solo album, 2023’s FACE, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Jimin’s official solo debut came with the 2018 single “Promise.” Five years later, he became the first South Korean soloist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Like Crazy,” followed by FACE‘s “Set Me Free, Pt. 2” reaching No. 30 on the chart. Jimin entered BB 100 at #1 with a song in Korean. No solo artist has done that before. He is the only artist regardless of race to have 2 songs top iTunes #1 in all 119 countries out of 119. He has one that reached #118 out of 119. He has a total of 7songs including those above who have topped iTunes in at least 100 countries. BB changed the rules after he entered the charts at #1. He was not suppose to. He did it with zero radio spins even though he has an all English version he performed live on Jimmy Fallon. ♦️Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” he watched during pandemic, inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even uses excerpt wordings, with voice over actors using dialogue more in tune with song, from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe, since dirt or mud means despair, that was what all the dirty grimyness including on his hands in the end, also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state. 🙏❤️‍🔥👍🐥🥰🔥💫✨

Thanks for the info and interpretation. I have not watched the movie so I took the last “what’s the point?” to mean “Trying to escape the pain/loneliness/despair by either pretending to be happy (dancing/drinking/etc in the club) or isolating (hiding in the bathroom) is pointless”. The uncomfortable emotions are going to stick to you regardless until you face them and work through them. (Much easier said than done, of course. I recognized the escapism/avoidance mechanisms in the MV because they’re very familiar).

It’s now over one year anniversary, March 24th of last yr, of Jimin’s FACE album, where most songs he wrote the lyrics for, composed, & helped produce! Aside from “Set Me Free Pt.2 & “Like Crazy”, I do hope you listen to ❣Jimin “Face Off”, trap beat, absolute fire! There’s a fan made MV by raulren. that has the ever so important lyrics, with cc turned on, that Jimin wrote, also composed & helped produce this song! ❣Jimin “Interlude: Dive” Jimin recorded himself. Next song from album ❣Jimin “Alone” english lyric vid, with equally important, meaningful eng subs. It’s another must, hauntingly, deep, emotional, ever so beautiful song Jimin also wrote composed & helped produce “Alone” which comes right after Like Crazy. Would have been nice if Jimin at least had another MV that showed the amazing choreography for Like Crazy which the original MV didn’t show. But can see live stage Inkigayo or stage mix by brilliant, or dance practice! 2 things I recommend.. The dance practice to this and another song that is on Jimin's Face album that I'm pretty sure you guys will love. It's called 'Face-Off'. It doesn't have a video for it, so you'll have to watch a lyric video but the song is amazing. Hope you will look into both of these. 😁💜💜💜
