Mate is such an inspiring guy. Started converting his old BMW at home and now is directing Bugatti. Insane. Also so refreshing to hear a guy who actually knows what he is talking about, presenting a car..
@@Kigoz4Life That's just a 3d printed model of the gauges, not the real thing. The real thing is made like a watch, it has actual gears inside that move the gauges and it will all be opened and visible in action.
22:49 the way mate rimac looks at the interior really shows how happy and proud he is in making this car
The way Mate is looking at the car and explaining all the little details is just so real and authentic! This guy is one of the greatest automotive pioneers of our time, if not the greatest.
To OP. Do you even know what the word *pioneer* means? What actually did this guy pioneer? Let's hear it. If you claim to be so knowledgeable in the subject present some valid arguments to support that claim. *entrepreneur* would be a more apt description of him.
@@McLarenMercedes Nowhere in OPs comment do they claim to be particularly knowledgeable on the subject, and it seems pretty clear they are using a superlative to express their admiration of him...
It looks futuristic but it doesn’t look alien and that’s a very difficult thing to achieve. Amazing design, I just wish the grill was reduced slightly in length
I’m more interested in the E30 honestly. This redesign visually looks weird in my opinion. It lacks the elegance of the previous designs. Something just sticks out with this design. It’s too long in the front.
I wanted to see a ground breaking Bugatti, but it’s a deformed Chiron with electric motors and a battery. It is nowhere near as elegant as any Chiron in my opinion. I think the Jesko is going to take the crown. Being a Bugatti fan from the beginning, the Koenigsegg flagship cars look and perform better at this point . This thing is ugly.
There's MANY reasons why I love this car, but one of the most important one is that interior, not a touch screen to be seen, it's PURE elegance. The Toubillion mechanism for the instrument cluster is next level, along with the other interior controls. It takes current trends and SMASHES them, that's why this car won't date, it's already an instant classic.
I went to auto expo this year. Literally all cars had giant screens slapped to them with same corporate bland gray design all copying tesla. It's good for gps and music but a well crafted analogue buttons and design is the soul of car and its getting sucked into screens.
For something that looks like a design evolution from the outside, the powertrain is a complete revolution. IMO, they knocked it out of the park with this one!
@@mattbrawner7888 which can be driven without the hybrid power train. Plus, the hybrid only amplifies the engine just like the LaFerrari, people can’t even tell that car is a hybrid

Journalists get invited by the manufacture to come have a First Look before the public. It allows publications time to learn, film and edit videos before the "Embargo" is up. Works as sort of a "Ill scratch your back if you scratch mine" Shmee makes money from RU-vid, Bugatti gets Shmee's platform to publicize their newest creation
It’s amazing to see a person who started up his own car company in a small country end up becoming the president of Bugatti, and kick things off with a completely awe-inspiring mix of heritage and technology! Man’s lived the absolute dream, and manages to be humble enough to credit the engineers behind this space-age vehicle towards the end there. 10/10 all around, this is amazing.
Mate is amazing, like, he dosen't try to sell it or to tell its incredible, he just explains in a simple way the features of the cars and actually knows what he's talking about
A stunning MASTERPIECE! I just saw the official press release from Bugatti and immediately came here to Shmee for more. I am LOVING this timeless celebration of mechanical precision we are seeing here. It is less about the big digital screens and more about the celebration of mechanical design. Well done Bugatti. Well done.
@@Gunshow86Agreed. I’m a big Koenigsegg fan, but I totally dislike the Jesko‘s rotating display. The new Bugatti steering wheel with its analogue gauges is absolute perfection.
I love how the car is literally named after a watch movement, and Mate is proud about how everything is mechanical. Yet he's wearing an apple watch. lol Gotta love him.
I have been counting down the days all month for the reveal! I was a little worried about Mate Rimac taking over but he has completely won me over. I’m in love yet again this car is beautiful and I can’t wait to see the special design cars that come off this chassis.
When I heard Rimac was put at the head of Bugatti I thought it was over for it but my God I was wrong! I absolutely love this car, the engineering and the design are exquisite and I've never use this word to describe a car. Pure art.
Mate sounds like Pagani talking about design and the care in design of every little piece. This is what will make it special and a thing of its own. Fantastic job!
Looks like a Chiron crossed with a Divo with some original stuff - super cool for sure. Managed to keep the iconic grill integrated quite nicely really.
History in making. This is something that will be forever remembered in human history of car making. Think about future generations looking at this beauty 200 years later.
This actually looks nice. I never thought the previous models looked very good because of the weird length and width proportions until they released the chiron super sport which i liked, glad this was nice from the get go
I honestly thought that this new Bugatti would disappoint. Be an EV, be a practical super-GT. And man....I love how wrong I was. Mate Rimac not only understood the assignment of making a real Bugatti, but he went for maximum grade possible! Just the skeleton dials and the way to start the engine are so unnecessary, but at the same time so gorgeous and amazing and perfect. I think this car is way more shocking than the Chiron
Bugatti and Mate what a combo...like Tourbillon is perfect name for this car structure, interior detailing and engineering point, what a day and age that we have a new 16cylinder engine and enlarged one...something only Bugatti can pull off 😎
Now that's what happens when a pure Technical Head, becomes the head of the company. The eye to details and the way he explains it❤❤ Loved it ❤❤ Looks like someone is definitely got inspired from Mr.Pagani❤
Hopefully the Bugatti philosophy on the marriage between combustion and electric powertrains, as well as analogue/digital interior styling cascades down to the affordable end of the market. This beast is a home run! 10/10 future classic.
This is the most beautiful car in the world! It's what i imagine an audemars piguet would be like as a car. The interior feels like a combination of luxury swiss watch details meets private jet and the exterior is so iconic i love it.
Love how Matè smiles as he says everyone is downsizing but they are going up. So cool! The world needs more guys like this rather than corporate sheep who follow each other on de-humanising cars (and everything else)
This is such a cool car. Everyone is going to all touchscreen and kind of all the same. This is the first car in a long time that is actually doing something different
I cant understand guys talking they don't like it , Chiron and Veyron were ugly for me , but this ... I can see James Bond getting out of it ... Its not bulky anymore, its sleek
@@all-caps3927 Tourbillon and the horological industry is barely known by normal people, mainly watch enthusiasts and people who understand how the invention increased accuracy. If we were in the age where people used watches the way they used to, and could afford a watch with the Tourbillon mechanical addition, then yes it would be less difficult. But, in this day and age, most people have never even come close to a mechanical watch unless they are enthusiasts. BTW its Tourbillon not Tourbillion. I could say the same thing about Japanese project managament methods like Ikigai or Kaizen. Something that is also only used by a group of people that you could compare in some way to watch enthusiasts (being corporate workers and business professionals). But, to hear Westen corporate and business professionals butcher the pronounciation and call them hard to use words or something they have never heard of, is the exact same point you are using to reply to Joel.
@@all-caps3927 Normal people, most car enthusiasts included, do not even know what the Horological Industy is, let alone Tourbillon. It would be like Honda naming their next supercar Ikigai based on Japanese project management methodologies. Unless you are a business professional, few would have a clue what it is or how to pronounce it. Ironically enough, the creator of Seiko even mentioned that one of the things about his creation is that his watches would be the biggest improvement since Tourbillon, and he is Japanese.
Imagine accidentally rear-ending this car and even slightly damaging the nonexistent bumper (aka duffuser). How many houses would that cost to replace?
Tim!! Amazing video with Matè! It was truly nice of him to take the time to explain. Any possibilities of you buying this Buggati? As always; huge support and thanks to the team, cheers!
i've only watched like 8 minutes of the video and i can not imagine how it is possible to put out such great content with this consistency, this man probably works close to 24/7 😁 and since i've been following this channel for several years now i can also say that there's been a lot of improvement as well throughout the years, very professional, and always enjoyable
