What a beautiful boat that is sir, love it, one of the things that stand out for me is how she flows from one area to the next, that would be an easy boat to live with. You guys have done a great job on her, Well done.
I bought a 2009 Selene 43 2 years ago and under went a $150,000 refit after purchase. The major differences are the engine (Cummins 350 hp in mine)’ Spledide washer dryer, hard top, and no get-home as there is no room. Updates included restoration of the interior teak by Huckins Boat Yard, all new Garmin electronics, hull paint, and Wesmar stabilizers upgrade with at anchor function and many, many other smaller changes including Starlink.
Excellent presentation! Beautiful boat. Amazed at how much you can into 45’. Agree with previous commentator; would prefer a separate wing engine. Is there a water maker? Sorry if I missed it.
Thanks for checking out videos of Selene. They are beautiful, high quality boats. We will be bringing you more vieos as we build and ddeliver more boats to North America.
I’d love to hear more about the range on this model as well as how reliable is the hydraulic get home system as there isn’t much information about them. Is this a class A vessel? Or is the 49? I’m looking for the smallest trawler for just two people no guests so wonder if can just make the lower area just one big bedroom with one toilet and shower? Also is there an option for a wing engine? I’m considering something early next year.
Thank you for the great questions. Real life range is always dependent on multiple factors - the 45 has 1000 gallon fuel capacity and at 7 knots a range of 1500 nautical miles. Owners have experienced longer range and fuel bladders can be added for longer passages if needed. This is a category A vessel (the 49 is as well). There is an option for a wing engine (we offer twins, PTO get home, wing engine as options on our boats) and the internal layout is also customizable. Please feel free to reach out to discuss your requirements and how we can customize systems and layouts to meet your specific needs. info@SeleneAmericas.com
Beautiful boat! It was stated that this boat is headed for the East Coast of the US. Any chance that it will be on display at the Trawlerfest in Baltimore in September?
Unfortunately not but we will have an owner's 59/60 Classic on display at Baltimore and an owner's 53 Classic at the Annapolis Powerboat show. More details here www.seleneamericas.com/news/2024-selene-boat-show-schedule-get-your-discount-code-come-see-us
@@SeleneAmericas I just watched a video of a Selene 60 classic, beautiful boat, one engine, it had a generator on top of the propeller shaft for the get home at 4 knots, if the boat had two small main engines could there be two get home generators for 8 knots or close ?
@@rogerbaker-vo1cd Thank you for the question, we haven't had that one before. Usually with twin engines, if one engine goes down, the other is your redundancy and would give you more power than a PTO get home system. We'd be happy to talk to you about options and your ideas and questions, please feel free to reach out to us info@seleneamericas.com
We very much respect Nordhavn, great boats and owners. The feedback we get from owners and people coming aboard our boats is that the design, layouts, etc. are very different. Just different approaches but we cheer all who are hopping aboard a trawler and getting out there to explore.
Thank you for the question - it varies based on a number of factors but for customers in the USA you can find a pricing section on the website, answer a few questions and see some basic pricing. Or feel free to contact us for pricing and answers to your questions: info@SeleneAmericas.com.
@@SeleneAmericas No, thank you. With brokers that hide the price and don’t disclose all the facts I just move onto the next one. I actually had some interest in the vessel .
@@RobertDean-x5e We are not a broker, we are the distributors for Selene in North America which are semi-custom new builds and each boat is different based on the owners requirements. We/our local experts are happy to dive into your requirements and all details with anyone who is interested. Our phone 1 877-689-3979 and email info@seleneamericas.com are available if you would like to learn more about a new build.
Thanks for viewing the video in detail and taking the time to comment. We use a sturdy push button lock on this boat that many other builders use which is metal but does have a plastic component. We are happy to use a model you prefer for your boat as we customize each boat to an owner's requirements.
Thanks for chiming in. We agree that teak isn't for everyone, which is why we also offer cherry and other custom wood options. That said, teak continues to be popular with customers.
Nice boat and tour! New to the channel but if I see “Primary Stateroom” in a graphic one more time, I won’t be watching again. As he said, “master stateroom”. Lose the woke garbage.
Thanks for the nice comment. Appreciate you watching this longer video and seems you have a great attention to detail. We want the terminology to be consistent and will look to make sure that happens in future videos.
@@SeleneAmericas amazing rounded off woodworking a little too *"busy"* for me as the austere build can allow for the usual customizations that so many prefer (see comment by Selene owner above.) Practice makes perfect in these presentations and yes this does matter now big time to get this out but also now as "right" as possible.
