Before I watch this: I am very grateful you are posting your main 2023 set up this far into the year, because I need to start mine this month if I have any hope of finishing haha
I can’t believe I missed you live 😞. I was distracted watching QVC for Christmas 🎄. This is so pretty 👏 Thank you for sharing 👍👍 Stay safe healthy and happy 😃✝️🇺🇸
Shame you couldn’t make the premiere but glad you enjoyed the video! We’re going live for 12 hours on the weekend though so hopefully you can make some of that 😄💜
3 weeks late but was on my recommendations. I'm asking for a bullet journal and some markers for Christmas so I can start journaling. This is great inspo for me. great video ❤
WOW!! I watched the 2024 video and that was amazing. When you said this was one of your favorites I had to watch it and I am so glad I did. I also am IN LOVE with new ideas for 2024. That gave me so many new ideas for my 2024 design. Thank you for all of the hard work you share with us. So creative.😍
Love seeing this theme again. My handwriting tends to fall apart when I stay up too late, I'm impressed that you can set this up so beautifully working into the wee hours 😍
Thank you for the Inspiration to start thinking about my next journal. Ran out of space in my current one to fit December, so as much as it makes my eye twitch I will have to start a new one.
Oh noooo 😝! I am thankful that I’m doing a month of digital planning so that I can actually start in a new journal for January, but I know that’s not for everybody 😅
I had to catch back up to your live broadcast. Really enjoyed it! I think it is safe to show to my little one who is journaling (love the upcoming generations of journal writers) :) Loved your setup. Wish I were that talented, but I need at least 6 more hours a day.. a 30 hour day would be better. I took screenshots and showed my daughter and she really likes the bulletin board layout.
Really appreciate the no-spend layout! Last summer (with a few facebook posts as my accountability tool) I did a SpEnd-Less Summer where I didn't buy anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. (Dog food - yes, Groceries - yes, new Kate Spade handbag - no, even though it was on sale and RIDICULOUSLY ADORABLE!). Looking forward to challenging myself to a full year of more mindful spending and tracking it with a a similar layout. Thank you!!
I love your themes! Im trying to do what ive heard you suggest for beginners....dont COMPARE yours to what you see ! So I am decorating but my own way... I love your 101 things to do goals ! I knew I couldnt think of 101 things so i started with 51... now Im up to 73 things to do lol so hopefully by i do the layout Ill actually have 101 WHO KNOWS? Love your content!! THANK YOU!!
Great video!! I've been thinking about setting up a journal for 2023, but its a lot of work lol. I had a journal a couple years ago that I used bullet journal layouts for and loved it.
I LOVE the way you’ve interpreted this theme! I’m doing a ‘dreams’ kind of theme for my new journal setup….and am using the same feather Washi tape. I absolutely adore the Washi. Looks awesome on screen but even more awesome in real life ☺️ i adore my coliro’s for accents too and use them a lot. Not sure my end result will be as stunning as yours but hey 🤷♀️ the best thing about this video for me is yesterday I said I wanted to start my new bullet journal setup (I’ve just done a mood board so far) and was told it’s way too early…I feel like this video now gives me permission 😂🙌
I just love this setup, this theme is my favourite of all your themes yet. I'll be using a planner in 2023 due to time constraints so I love living my bujo dreams through you. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
@@JashiiCorrin I love every setup, the painter in me was so excited to see you bring out your metallic watercolours 😊 I hope you experiment a little more with painting.
I love your videos and spreads! They’re very inspiring. I started doing 22 twenty twos.. last year and loved it! I went above and beyond in some areas and nowhere near in others and find it great to look back on.
I came across your video after watching AmandaRachLee, and literally Bullet Journal creators have the most calming videos I swear haha. I've been wanting to get the Black Paper from Archer and Olive but everytime I've thought to get it, it's sold out. Going to be setting up my bullet journal soon. it's been a couple of years since I did my last one so I am hoping to stay stop on it!
Wonerful video Jess!! I looooved your illustrations, although I really wondered how you pulled through the whole night creating it xD! I wondered one thing about the 101 list, how do you come up with 101 things you want to do at the same time? Or do you just start by randomly writing down some things and then eventually fill out the rest during the year? Sending hugs!!
Thanks! 😄💜 it’s more the second method. I do an initial brainstorm of the 101 things that I want to do, but normally only get to about 50. I then leave the rest open to add ideas throughout the year 😄
The circular elements in the theme look so amazing! 😍 You're Videos are always very inspiring to me (and I loved how you mentioned, you don't really know what gouache is - same here 😅). Also I find it so cool, that you write yourself letters at the end of a year - I've been doing that forever now, and even if the things I didn't reach my goals, I could always see the progress and how I changed through the years in these letters. ✨
I never used journals before, cuz im not exactly someone who goes out or does much, but I'm definitely stealing your layout if I ever dO cuz woW Word of the year is a cool idea-
Jess, I have a list like this called life bucket list and it just list out like anything that I want to do from moving out to getting married to travel goals
@@JashiiCorrin love the name! I want to call mine the fuck it bucket list lol it's not too long right now but I'm gunna keep that in all my bujos from now on
Haha 😂 My "F*ck it bucket" is a box of cr*p in my office which are these-are-nice-enough-that-someone-might-want-them-but-I-sure-as-heck-don't items 😝 love the term, haha
Same as Ana watching the replay because I missed the first 15 minutes or so. I don't think it's the same one but I have a green circle template. I thought I was ordering one of those spinning circles but ended up with a giant clear ciecle...I have no idea what the purpose of that thing was so I sent it back ans then forgot to search for one again as they seem super useful. Yearly collection versus constantly rewriting things I'd a good idea!
I have very much appreciated not having to transfer them this year and I know I’ll appreciate it next year too, haha 💪 weird about the circle that was just a circle 🤔 how odd!
@@JashiiCorrin It's Amazon so I try not to think about what the seller was thinking when they advertised things so incorrectly. Or maybe someone on the warehouse just messed up I have no idea 🤔
Thanks, Amber! Shame you couldn’t make the premier, but at least we have our 12 hour live stream coming on the weekend, so hopefully you can make some of that 😄💜
those PaperMate InkJoy Gel pens are my absolute favorite day-to-day pen. way better than the ubiquitous Bic pens but not too nice that i cant take it anywhere and get it dirty.
It is my first Bujo ever and I am so excited but also scared. Hope I will like it. I recently a calender the first time and really enjoy it but I need way more costume pages .o.
@@JashiiCorrin Yeah its probably exactly the right time to start, since the new year is around the corner. Currently I still braunstorm, what I wanna have and pratice a bit in a not so fancy notebook to be ready to start for real in jan
@@JashiiCorrin Btw. Your Videos are great, its so nice to listen to you and watching you drawing and setting up, I probably watch way to many vids by now haha, I am binging :'D
So this is a new yearly collection journal only and then you'll have another one for the rest of the planning? Will the yearly journal get pretty much full, or how much do you use it for during a year?
Yeah, the “everyday” journal setup is coming later this month 😄 the yearly journal is used year after year, so currently this one is about a quarter fall. This year I didn’t add any extra pages after my initial setup, and I expect it to be pretty much the same for 2023 🤔💜
Ah that makes sense. I thought it felt a bit strange to start a new yearly collection journal every year if its only some pages each year. That makes more sense and i blame my confusion on lack of sleep. Thank you for the video. Im still trying to find out how I'll plan my 2023
@@MirandaPurpleClouds yeah that would be a lot of journals for each year 😝 Don't think I could do a full 160 pages just for "start of journal" setup type things, lol 💜 Glad you enjoyed the video though! Hope figuring out how you wanna set up your 2023 planner goes well 💪
I loved the first itiration of this theme and seeing it again is awesome. I have to ask though, 23 items in your shop. I wasn't aware you had a shop? Is it a new thing coming or is there a link somewhere I have missed? Thank you for the inspiration as always ❤
Thanks Marica! The shop is fairly new, and it hasn’t had its “official” opening yet 😝 but I have advertised it in a couple of my videos (the one on budgeting layouts, and the one on my digital bullet journal setup)
This is probably going to sound like a stupid question, but I've never done these before so please bear with me: You use the yearly journal separately from your every day journal, is that correct? It's two separate books, and then you refer to your yearly journal every day to mark off the things you've done, in addition to keeping up with your daily journal. Did I understand that correctly? Sorry for the dumb question!
Close! I have the yearly collections (ones I set up in this video) in their own notebook. I use that notebook year-upon-year to set up collections that will last the full year. I make a point to check in with this yearly collections journal once a week to fill things in and update my trackers, but I might also put things in when I have a space moment / wandering thought to 😋 My everyday journal is the one with monthly setups (e.g. monthly calendar, tasks lists, weekly spreads, etc.). That one I check in with everyday (thus the name, haha) 💪 Hope that makes sense!
@@JashiiCorrin Thank you so much! That makes sense. I went out and bought a yearly notebook after seeing this video and reading your comment. I'm looking forward to implementing some of these concepts!
I really want to include some kind of video game tracker in my next year's setup, but I can't think of a way to track like what have I started, or finished the story, or 100% completed, or its something that goes on forever (like animal crossing). Any ideas?
Hmm 🤔 good question! I used to have a video game log in my journal, but that was more for ownership status (a column with colour coded boxes for whether the game was physically or digitally owned) and then another column with an empty box for unstarted, a half-colour box for started, and a full coloured box for done with 😝 Not a very robust system, but it worked for what I needed at the time 🤔
I love the look of this kind of bullet journals but I know personally for me I have to let go of my professionalism to actually be productive so I've been working on finding a middle ground between the planning I need because of my autism and the ability to be spontaneous that my ADHD demands
I haven't tried bullet journaling before, but I want to, and I was wondering how many pages in a journal I would probably need? The journal I want to order has 160 pages--- would that work?
That’s a common size, yeah! It depends on how much time you want to fit in the notebook. For example, I fit 4-6 months in a 160 pages notebook, while my partner can fit a whole year in there 😄💜
I don’t see much point in putting 3 L of water a day on my tracker when I couldn’t even do two later days this year though 😝 1 L is better than none L! 💪
I used a fair few, but I found them by doing a search of "magical symbols meanings" and similar terms (wanna make sure I at least initially know what the symbols mean before putting them in 😅). Here's one of the reference images I used: i.pinimg.com/736x/4f/dd/bd/4fddbd3822c0e7444eb306ca1905c137.jpg
It's a 160 page journal that I use year-over-year 😄 So in 2022 I used 23, and for this 2023 setup I've used 24 😊 At this rate, the yearly collections journal should last me 6 years total 💪
jess why do you do that?? u mention mistakes and then you drive me crazy coz I don't see them!!! love the layouts and I think I will be trying a few in my new BuJo in Jan!
Haha if you didn't notice them, I must have hid them well! 😝 I think it's the kinda thing that we notice our own mistakes more than other people too 😋💜
Really it’s up to you 😄 some people started before November, while some won’t start until after Christmas. I got in early with mine so I could have this video up for inspiration for anyone who wanted it 😄💜
