I could, but I'd be lying. It was a $500 non-running 2000 convertible. Now it's a $600 barely running 2000 convertible. At least it's a manual. I've had a handful of Mustangs, but don't let that fool you. I don't like this car. It just has enough wrong with it that I can learn some new skills fixing it, and it was the right price for a track car, whenever I get around to that.

Why would you buy one? Not the greatest on insurance and it's slow.

As mentioned previously... 1) It was in my price range. 2) It has things which need fixing that I need to learn. (mostly bodywork) 3) It's the cheapest way to get into some parking lot timed circuit racing to learn how to drive. Insurance doesn't matter because it won't be on the road. (I have a tow dolly.) Speed doesn't matter because I'm learning race driving basics. People use less ideal cars than this.

Indeed; that's not just a really odd number, it's the explicit displacement limit of kei cars. I'm betting on a Honda Beat or maybe an Autozam AZ-1, but I'm hoping for a Suzuki Cappuccino. I have a thing for kei cars, so [effectively] hearing that Gingium is getting one has me excited.

Nope, The first generation Miata's (90-97) got 2 different engines. 90-93 got a 1.6 liter engine, 94-97 got a 1.8. He has a 1990. He started to build a forged 1.8 but then realized that it was warped so he gave up on that.

Ilikeboost he started to build a nb2 1.8 not a NA 1.8 so 2001-2004 (it has vvt)

For real. Light bars aren't headlights. The sleepy eye thing looks cool, but oncoming drivers probably hate you at night time.

@@nyeeeeeee9346 his headlights are basically two small light bars. There's no SAE compliant low beam pattern, just a spot light spraying forward. 1) without a cutoff, they're putting light in the the eyes of oncoming drivers and 2) with a spot pattern, he has no useful width, which just shorts his own night time vision. Watch some of his videos when he drives it at night and you'll see what I mean. Those lights seem to have great distance because they're a spot pattern, but they're best used as an auxiliary high beam rather than a low beam. I'm also pretty sure from watching his videos that he doesn't have lows/highs, just on/off, but that's a different story.

There are LED products out there that have a light pattern that would be better (although still not correct) for this application. Diode Dynamics makes what they call their "stage series" of light bars, which have the option of their "fog" pattern. This pattern is a much wider, flatter, output that has a crisp cutoff between light and dark. This would provide useful width and the crisp cutoff would give Gingium the ability to aim them in a way that was at least halfway polite to oncoming traffic. The issue would still remain with the lack of low/high beam, but hey. I'd bet there's other products out there that have similar beam control as well, it just takes research. Don't be that guy with "upgraded" headlights that do nothing but blind oncoming traffic.
