Once you learn to make your own liners it going to get crazy! I think you are going to love it and make a lot of them. I'm excited to see what you do. I suggest getting a "walking foot" for the sewing machine. Your Aunt should know what that is. I use rip-stop fabric (from Joann's) as my waterproof layer (although it can't be washed/dried on hot) and the same uhaul furniture pads that you have for my absorbent layer. I make mine about 4 inches larger than needed for the cage liners because they will shrink during routine washing. Also, be aware the holes from the needle allow moisture to get through so sew as little as possible. Sending good vibes for a successful surgery and recovery!

I would love to go crazy making liners!….however I have never used sewing machine before so this will be a slow start🙃 but I’m excited to learn a new craft while I recover. @@GuineaPigJungle I prepared for my surgery forever in advance for the piggies and everything because I knew it would be a long long time before I could lift or clean or anything and I wasn't allowed to use stairs or anything - I didn't have a SUPER Josh (hehe). I am so glad you will have him around to give you love and help you. I remember cleaning everything, pre-cooking a bunch of meals, preparing the piggies' veggies so my cousin could come and help. I was so unused to someone doing for me or being so out of commission. Just please remember that while you may start to feel great, you take much longer to heal inside, so take good care of yourself and let yourself be pampered a little bit. You deserve it. All my hugs and love for a safe and strong recovery and thanks to Josh for being so great.

As a first time guinea pig mamma, your channel has been a life saver! My new skinny pig, Harry, is living his best life!! Many thanks for all the tips and tricks…or as Harry would say, “pur, purrr, purrrrrrr purrrrrrrrrr” ☺️ There’s one thing I’m struggling with and that’s about socialization. The place where I rescued him told me that he doesn’t do well with other guinea pigs - their strong suggestion was to raise him alone; but the more I learn about these little guys, they seem to be such social creatures and I’d hate to limit his life in any way. Do you have any guidance? It’s been a month alone with Harry and he seems happier every day, but I can’t stop thinking about the lack of fellow guinea pigs who might enrich his life. Thanks again for your videos, I’ve become your biggest fan! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi! Thank you so much! So skinny’s are hard to socialize especially if you already know he doesn’t pair well. This being bc he has no hair and the way guinea pigs establish a pecking order is to use their mouth and with most it’s not to hurt but to hold their ground but they will pull hair and well if there is no hair then they are likely to break skin. It’s just so easy to scratch and break skin on a skinny.

Just need a heavy duty sewing machine it will go through the layers like butter. The edit was pretty good this week, Josh! :P I recently got a cage from the brand their previous cage was (saw your video on it and thought about trying it). Those rivets look so much easier. My 2x5 coroplast was two pieces, too, from the other brand. Maybe gpcs would be one piece.
Your adorable handsome Dave reminds me of Spaghetti of Its pig’s, they are both creasted guinea pigs and they are both very happy piggies and they were both adopted don’t know if you know that that It’s pig’s had adopted spaghetti from Saskias guinea and the four girls Acorn, pumpkin, zucchini and sweet little butternut Spaghetti was the last baby baby guinea that was born from one of the pregnant mothers that had her babies at Saskias he. Was around a year old and they had him fixed so they get him adopted I remember Scotty was was opening up the door and and Preston was his back then I have never seen a guinea pig pig look so depressed he just bearly lifted his head up and put it back down, Scotty was trying to bond him with Garry At the rescue but it didn’t work out and now he is one of the happiest guinea pig a big house and for girls that keep him bizzy and your Dave he is such a happy piggie and all your piggies love you and I hope and pray that everything goes smoothly and well for you i need to go now I In really in joy watching you and your piggies and family have a good evening

I have 3 cats who are interested in my piggies. I have a top on my guinea pig habitats. It doesn’t have corplast. It has a liner that hooks onto places around the cage. I can take the liner out to clean it. I don’t have a room for them alone that has heat snd air. I hope your surgery goes well. Tiny heard did a tutorial on how to make liners.
Did you know you can make any size you want for a fraction of the price Walmart has the grids in the shelving section and your hardware store has zip ties and coroplast my three cages are all 3x4’s fifty bucks a cage 🤷🏼♀️ easy to do 💯 you can do this to
We have cameras outside and my husband works from home. The dogs also do not have access to outside unless someone is home. And when we had our super old dog still one of us had to be outside with him monitoring him at all times. We also have the ability to block off the pool if and when necessary.❤️✌🏼
Hi Ya from Toronto. I love your piggies, !!!!! and your utube channel. I started off with two males and now have 4. 1 of the original 2 became very grumpy an kept chasing everyone!!! I have had to separate him from his brother and the 2 new younger ones. :>(. My dilemas maybe you can help , small house ,2 cages more than 1/2 my livingroom gone.
Little bit late but I had 2 guinea pigs but the. I got a dog and wasn’t give information the guinea pigs much attention so then he would bite me every time we would hold them to we had to sell them to someone
They are sooo cute do you have any tips my guinea pig gets very scared when I pat her when she’s in the cage but when I hand feed her she comes running over and eats it off my hand but I don’t want her to get scared when I hold her. I got her in late March this year she also has a friend but she loves being cuddled she’s nit scared at all but I just don’t want to make my guinea pig scared tho :(. I have a video about this. I think it’s called “why do my guinea pigs run from me” but what you are describing is just about every pig ever. And all of my pigs run from me when I go to pick them up. She sounds perfect💜
Hi! Good question! I did my cages this way so the pigs have access to free roam space. That way I don’t have to pick them up and place them on the ground. They can just run in out of the comfort of their cage. Some of mine really find more comfort being in their cage but most love free roam access so that way everyone has the option to do what they want!🐹🐹💜💜
@@GuineaPigJungle this is what I’m thinking down the track, but the free roam space will still have to be caged up since the piggies live in our living room and we can’t close off the whole room and make it totally guinea pig proof.
Well I bought the same Cage same dimensions but the problem was my mischevious piggy always tried to jump out of it and even succeeded And other reason I don't prefer these square grids for my piggies cause my American piggies have a big smout which makes them poke their head in the grids and they easily get stuck their Anyways gr8 video

Hi thank you! I use fleece to cut down on costs and I much prefer fleece over bedding when it comes to cleaning. The less bedding I’m buying the less single use plastic I am contributing to.🐹✌🏽💕
Disclaimer: I don‘t want to bash on anyone or sound rude or something, it‘s just bothering me and I am curious. Aren‘t these cages kinda small? As I said, I don‘t want to sound karen-y, but I just get the feeling they seem pretty small for two pigs. I always thought two pigs require something like 20 squarefeet of pure floorspace. I personally don‘t own piggies and don‘t know a lot and really googeling doesn‘t do shit because all sources say something different so yeah. Might be because the minimum space in germany is different than in the us, idk. Maybe it‘s also because I own bunnies which have a much bigger requiriment, my two fluffs live in an caged of enclouser that has a little more than 65 squarefoot (6squaremeters), with the opportunity to freeroam pretty much the whole day. So yeah, maybe I‘m just biased. Otherwise I love your care. I like to watch guinea pig videos on different channels and came across yours so time to binge a whole lot this night. Who needs sleep anyways? It‘s a nice difference than watching bunnykeepers online and turn into a complete over-karen because of every error they make in their care (I am sorry, they are my passion, leave me alone.) So yeah would be nice if someone would tell me if that‘s just how it is in the Us? And yes I know this vid is older but maaaybe someone comes across this comment.
