Your attention to detail is perfect, Tho kinda sad the only tribe you show in the art is the boomers but I guess the boomers are the best tribe in the game and always worth the hassle to get on your side.
Vibes of Bethesda factions: "They're the good guys!" "They're the bad guys :(" "They're the mean, but misunderstood guys..." Vibes of New Vegas factions:
That's what I love so much about the factions of New Vegas. None of them are perfect. They are all deeply flawed in some way. It's one of the things that makes this game so compelling, is that the factions feel believable and grounded. Choosing who to side with is less about who are the "good guys", and more about who will provide the best chance for civilization to survive.
@@anuragpradhan7500You mean as insufferable as someone telling others they haven't played something properly and reprisent their opinion on fictional Media as the correct one. Yea couldn't agree more.
@@anuragpradhan7500 Institute in Fallout 4 isn't at all bad - in fact, it's objectively the best faction in the game. Railroad is just a bunch of morons, Brotherhood is useless, and Minutemen are annoying and also useless, with even the raiders being a more compelling option. In NV, at least, all factions have something to offer, while in Fallout 4 choosing anything aside from the Institute is just plain stupid.
The NCR survived the Super Mutant plague, the Enclave's superior military, the Brotherhoods advanced technology and Caesar's endless legions. The destruction of Shady Sands might have been a catastrophic hit to the NCR, but as long the dream exists, the bear will return. A simple nuclear winter ain't enough to stop the rangers, they would much rather deal with that then take another tour in the Mojave.
@@generellconfusion2592And two headed eagles existed on flags for thousands of years. So why not bears? Why not other two headed animals? Wales has a dragon! Flags should go more wack
@@swagcheesehead1060they’re not it’s been confirmed that they’re still around and we’ll probably see more of the NCR. It was also hinted at the show with shady sands being called the first capital of the NCR, you don’t call something that unless there’s another capital.
But mainly remember that the actual reason that Bethesda had it blown up by the big mad little cuck was because they want to keep the wasteland a stagnant theme park that they can milk.
Shady Sands may be gone, the Brotherhood may be back, but we built this nation off the backs of ordinary men and women, and southern California is OUR land. We'll be back. We won't go quietly. The Brotherhood can count on that.
The Los Angeles detatchment of Arthur Maxson's Brotherhood of Steel will soon meet their match the minute the New California Republic Rangers make it north from the Baja. Literally though, they aint got shit on NCR Rangers, especially not the Vets. You cant get rid of the NCR, its an idea, an idea you cant just kill off. Bethesda knows this.
The NCR is not gone, just in a healthier lean-state. No more expansionist bloat. The region can survive but it will not be the same. Seems Ceasar was right on the diagnosis, but not the prescription.
@@guniverse.5847 My TV on Wheels (both TVs if you will) def hates BoS and Vault Tec tho. One TV filled Vault 21 with concrete and just wanted the BoS bunker nuked.
I love how being retconned out of existence has made the NCR (in the fandom’s eyes) go from “I love taxes” to “Badass fallen empire that was the last part of the wasteland with any morality or functioning society, given almost as much love and reverence as the Enclave”
@@partnax5629 I mean, saying “But riiight after the game ended they got nuked to oblivion” is close enough to be a retcon imo, and most of the fandom sees it that way
"For years, I had been trained to be the right hand of Caesar, and for years, I waged bloody, merciless war against the profligate cowards flying the banner of the bear. I had hoped that one day, I might have the honor of conquering the land known as California, to reclaim the land of Caesar’s birth, to do what the Malpais Legate could never accomplish… and yet, here I sit upon Caesar’s throne, my heart burdened in mourning not for loss of opportunity for conquest, but for the death of the only worthy adversary I have ever had the pleasure to face.” -Legate Lanius, 2282, upon being informed of the collapse of the NCR.
I was never really patriotic for the NCR cause but with the added tragedy of the nuclear detonation at Shady sands it has somehow drawn me closer to the faction.
@@General-Kinder671 Someone much smarter than me could write a book about how Fallout 3 and New Vegas are products of the post-9/11 American psyche, but I'll just settle for saying fuck I think you might be right.
This is actually one of the predictions we stormed with some friends. If NCR keeps being corrupt there might be an uprising from its Elite Forces, mainly Rangers, to get rid of the corruption. Sic Semper Tyrannis
As President Kimball once said: "Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevadas, defiant and enduring." The NCR will rise once again like a phoenix from the ashes restoring law, order and democracy to the wasteland of America
The NCR has a good chance to become the rebuilder of America in the Wasteland, but they are realy flawed (like all the factions), but if they get their things together, no one could stop them in the long run.
@@generalhggy9266 What some expect to happen is an uprising from the Military branch, mainly the Rangers, to get rid of the corruption in the system. We see this already with the legendary ranger Hanlon doing his best to get the boys out of New Vegas. Sic Semper Tyrannis
@@generalhggy9266 The NCR is already falling into what the old great world already was (extremely corrupted) which is why they're doomed to fail tbh. The majority of the NCR is actually under real rule from brahmin lords, not Kimball(which he did himself lol). They'd realistically probably have a civil war at some point if they don't just try to merge with another group. The NCR are the good guys, but they're really not all as stable as a lot of people make them out to be, there's a lot of indecisiveness, political infighting, and even some talk of pulling away from the NCR. President Tandi might've actually been able to rebuild but sadly she died at the ripe old age of 103. :D
@@Jordan-xp2hr I agree on that the Ncr is very corrupt, but I don't think it would go as far as civil war, the rich wouldn't want to destroy their own cash cow, and the people whilst not living in a utopia could always point towards other groups in the wasteland and say, at least we aren't cannibals, slavers (I know the prison labor the Ncr is doing is very close to slave labor, but most of the peole present in the prison we see in New Vegas are actual murderers and raiders, not regular people being abused)and have better standards of living, the real pushback against the barons could come from the armed forces, they are the ones being used as guards and as elite bodyguards by the barons instead of fighting raiders and other foes. Question is what happens when the Ncr gets pressured by a strong enough foe like the Legion, like the second battle of Hoover dam? If the Barons and politicans kepp acting like everything is fine, the yes you are right the only way to go forward would be agressive ways of reforming them like civil war. Problem is in the game what we see is an overconfident Ncr, who thinks they can defeat the Legion again, since they did it once. We don't see what they would do after their defeat. Maybe they would recognise the threat, or they would just keep doing nothing.
You would think with how some of these folks are so salty about “the lore” they would take half a second to notice the NCR was starting to stumble during fallout 2. Like, we have president for life tandi talking freedom and progress while her government was busy stealing land from independent settlements and tribal communities. A few decades later we see the NCR is being run by a bunch of planter aristocrats a la corpo enclave style and using up all its resources fattening up the Brahmin barons and fighting expansionist border wars on all fronts. Its very much the allegory of the old world America eating itself alive.
I don’t see why they focus on the BOS as is now. Aren’t they just hoarders? You can only use the same faction so much without changing much before it starts to lose its charm, too. If they wanna keep using the brotherhood, wouldn’t mind seeing something different, like maybe a BOS branch that is disconnected from the rest of the faction. I’m gonna stop myself before I rant.
@@guniverse.5847It is a different branch it seems. And it's used effectively. The brotherhood is a major part of the universe whether you like it or not, I think the show did a good job of bringing nuance to them.
@@ihavenomouthandimusttype9729 Voicing your concern for something is one thing. But read this in your head, "We won't go quietly. Tod Howard can count on that." Does that not seem cringe to you? You're acting like you're making a revolution. No offense here, but you seem like an idiot. It's a video game franchise...
Yeah, I imagine the brotherhood’s view on the situation is like watching your worst enemy get burned alive. They were the enemy, sure, but did they deserve such hell? Plus, with how the brotherhood is all about preservation and security of technology, especially the dangerous kind, I bet it only reinforced their beliefs. Nukes such as before continue to haunt us.
Vault-Tec looking at at all the hordes of Legionnaires, Paladins, and Super Mutant death squads at their doorstep knowing they wiped out the only faction that kept them all in check: 😮

@@commandergreetv753 I mean the NCR is to big to just stop existing after losing it's former capital. For now most likely fragmented bickering between each other. Now they need a big unifier, someone who pick up the broken parts and forges a new Republic out of it.
@guniverse.5847 it's not necessarily from fallout 4,but I'm talking about how In every bethesda game the enclave is always portrayed as the bad guy,and even if you wanna make them the bad guy at least let us join them which they never do. It's very tiring seeing how much they disregard one of the coolest factions in fallout.
@@Darren_117honestly I don’t know why the enclave is even around post fallout 2. They get blown up. Shouldn’t be around. Let new Vegas and it’s remnants be the final stand of the enclave. A bunch of soldiers fighting for their country. It just happens that this time it was under the banner of the two headed bear. Now that’s a send off to a faction.
Vault tec destroyed there nation in the past. Then they found a new nation and home carrying the American dream forward and now they attempted to destroy there new home once more in nuclear fire. Oh boy vault tec pissed against the wrong legs now. SPOILERS AHEAD: I think the Fallout Show will end with a 2nd NCR. Lucy's mother's and Maximus' lives in it give two of the three main characters incentive to consider it and revive it. I think they're ultimately going to create a new capital city and instate some kind of an attempt at ideal American government, a synthesis of Lucy's idealism, Maximus' respect for power, and the Ghoul's memory of pre-war America. Or, Mr. House gets involved next season and things go haywire, who knows? It's anyone's game at this point. P.S. In this house, Lee Moldaver is a Californian patriot and a goddamned hero!
Birthed from the resilience of a few humble farmers, raised by the heroic deeds of a faithful hero, protector of the wastes, bringer of civilization, the Two-Headed Bear.
The reason the NCR is the best faction, is because theyre the only faction genuinely trying to rebuild after the destruction of the world, and return it to a sense of genuine safety and normalcy without overarching aims of control or further destruction.
did you forget the Follower of the apocalypse do that as well and don't enforce law and order and brahmin baron greed. infact it down to them that ncr even managed to get on it feat and thrive after the curruption they split apart and it only went down hill. granted i respect the view point even if i am an Enclave fan.
The only faction to turn its back on the wasteland, rebuild a society, defended its morals and values(even with its corruption), and survived through war, just to be nuked, remember Shady Sands.
@@zanderaw Not probable..... i would think he would have much more impact on the world in what? 10 years i don't know how long it is between the TV show and New Vegas. @@MrMadre You call me delusional and not only don't elaborate but ask me to elaborate? Okay. Why was Shady Sands moved to be so close to the Master's Base when that fucks up locational consistency? Where has this maguffin magic drug that keeps ghouls from going feral been in the lore before? Why was House in on the Vault-Tec Plot when the Dialogue in FNV implies that he calculated when the war would happen? While Authoritarian, House clearly didn't want the war to affect Vegas and that scene ruins his characterization in New Vegas. Different scenario with Sinclar but same effect. The Cali. Brotherhood lost a war against the NCR so badly that they were driven into hiding. Why does the California Brotherhood still exist and have even a small chance against the NCR even if Shady Sands was Nuked? Why does the California Brotherhood have a fucking Airship, because I doubt that they'd be able to fix one with the NCR constantly on their asses and if Maxon's brotherhood still exists, I doubt they'd relinquish the Prydwin. WHY DOES THE FUCKING ENCLAVE EXIST IN ANY CAPACITY ON THE WEST COAST IN 2296? They didn't make sense in being in Fallout 3, let alone the main antagonists. They especially don't make sense here because of the events of Fallout 2.
@@MrMadre you do realize by the point in the show if a nuke when off aim at NCR every air missle and Anti air weapon the NCR would of went off and stop it, the NCR is Massive and they litreally rebuild the west coast. soon as they stopped the nuke they would of sent their own right back.
Enclave, brotherhood, NCR, legion, hell even minute men and institute fans have one real enemy, so insidious that they have easily destroyed all of these factions: Bethesda
What's interesting to me about the symbol of the NCR is that it is very reminiscent of the Beast described in Revelation; it has two heads, one dead, the other alive and pissed off. I don't know if that was on purpose, but it's very cool, and fits with the biblical imagery and references in New Vegas.
Honestly I’ve never expected this video to blow up immensely. Reaching 500 Subs and almost to a Million views in a matter of months is insane to me. Thank you all for tuning in the this! ❤❤ LONG LIVE THE NCR!!! REMEMBER SHADY SANDS!!!!
After watching the fallout show with my mom she bought me an NCR flag to put in my room Also just kind of a funny thing I have two flags in my room now and they’re both California based
@@c0nscript275 at least the NCR does not rape, pillage and murder normal people at least they regret bitter springs if the roles are reversed it's just a normal day for them. NCR just tax people
Bethesda can gain so many fallout fans back in their good graces simply by having the NCR victorious over the brotherhood of steel. If anyone from Bethesda on the writing staff somehow sees this… please we are so tired of the brotherhood of steel, enclave, and supermutants. Make the wasteland a place of endless potential and fallout a sometimes funny but very dramatic study of alternative history again.
“The bear is wounded. But the bear is stronger than the sword.” Shady sands may be gone, and the brotherhood may have significantly reduced the NCR’s numbers and power, but you can’t kill Patriotism.
This would be cool if they used this theme in the Fallout show when they fought the Brotherhood of Steel and then used "I Don't Want to See tomorrow" for when Cooper realized they were going to drop the bombs.
Dude, Shady Sands was bombed after new vegas, it was confirmed, this mens probably in the year 2284 so not really, the series is canon and canonised all the games including tactics
@@bluebookreader5219 they've really only canonized parts of Tactics. But that was the case before the series as well. There was established canon before the show premiered.
The NCR is like Rome during the crisis of the third century - bloated, spread too thin, and collapsing in on itself. And Caesar's Legion are the barbarians at the gates. Convincing the BOS, Enclave remnants, Boomers, and Great Khans to come together with the NCR at Hoover Dam is one of the best "rage against the dying of the light" moments in all of gaming I think.
