Bought my son one this past weekend. It's his first handgun. I don't think I could have gotten him anything better. We both shot all day on Sunday and I really like this weapon.
Used to have a canik tp9 sfx absolutely loved at and stupidly traded it for a sig m18 I love my m18 don’t get me wrong but I wish I still had my sfx but just purchased the TTi combat and it’s almost the same but better in some way and I’m in love with
I've been waiting for the actual reviews of this particular Canik. I almost "pulled the trigger" and bought the Rival... So glad I didn't. I've followed Canik for a long time now. I'm "sold" on their quality. The fact they listen to their followers to make continuous improvements has impressed me very much. This will be my first Canik. I'm excited. I've watched 6 reviews by various "experts", in the past two days. This by far is the best review. The level of detail from unboxing, shooting, to take down is VERY well done. Much appreciated. I love your style in all your reviews. You sir, are one of the best, if not the best gun reviewer I've come across. Thanks so much and I look forward to future reviews as they become available.
Easily the best & most informative review of the TTI to date (& i think I've watched then all)!!! As soon as i saw this at SHOT show i started telling my lgs to get me one! Well his Canik distributor called & had 4 left for preorder. The shop owner took all 4. One has my name on it. That was end of February. Should arrive this month. I can't wait!!! It'll be my first Canik.
@the1bulldurham probably not! Before this TTI model caught my eye I've never really considered Canik. Now that I've done a ton of research I think Canik makes some of the best striker fired pistols for the $$$! Can't wait to put rounds downrange with my TTI! Maybe Rival S be my next one?? 👍
I have one on preorder as well. Seeing some reviews saying the TTI comes the Mecanik MO3 Red dot. I haven't verified that anywhere officially. Any ideal if that's accurate?
My 1st gun was a Springfield xdm 45 it came with a mag loader, holster, mag carrier ,lock, cleaning brush and 3 mags then I got 2 for free through Springfield caniks not the only company that gives alot.
Taran Tactical really knocked it out of the park with this one. The ergonomics are superb, and the precision engineering makes it a joy to shoot. Can't wait to add this to my collection and hit the range.
This video prompted me to rethink my Caniks. I had a number before and decided to let them go because I was unwilling to keep those that I lost the rear sight. Canik TTI Combat and the Mete’s do not suffer that fate.
Another excellent review sootch!! I'm super excited to add one of these to my collection. I can see you barely able to contain your enthusiasm over this also sold me on it!!!
I'm trying real hard not to sound like a Canik fanboi, but it seems to me that the Canik guys gather around a table and ask what else they can to the gun do or cram in the box for the customer. Every release has refinements not seen in older models. I like S&W a lot, but unless you go high end they all come in a cardboard box with just a brush and a trigger lock. Even the older model Caniks come in a decent case and still perform better than many pistols costing 50% more. I have the METE SFT and SFX, plus a few other guns from Sig and Springfield, and the SFT is on my side 10 hours a day. I don't leave home without it. It's crazy simple, reliable, nice looking, and so far it's eaten every round I've given it.
I'm no world class shooter, just been around guns growing up in upper Snake River country since I was young. Here's what to me is magic about the modern pistol market is that there is exponentially less and less direct correlation between how much you pay and how nice a gun shoots. As such, I ignore price and hype when I get a new pistol every once in a while. I have a couple Caniks. Bought the first one because it was cheap the Mete SFx then got the TP9 SFx because I liked the Mete so much. Like it a lot as well. Canik keeps coming out with new models way faster than I want to buy new pistols. At some point if you're like me feels like I'm fully stocked with pistols that are all way better than my skills and money can keep up. Seems like Canik, Walther, M&P 2.0 and other incredibly affordable and really nice shooting guns are taking the handgun world by storm. I have some fancy pistols but to be perfectly honest I shoot my PDPs and Caniks more than I shoot my Staccato and CZ 75 SP-01 not because I'm trying to make a point but because I personally actually shoot them better.
This is my 3rd! Got the rival darkside, the whiteout(more of a collector piece, only shot once about 250 rnds) and just picked up the TTI yesterday for $850.
Purchased Walther PDP compact. Recently very recently added the SCS green dot. Absolutely I love it. Saw the TTI when it first came into my local had to have it. Call me nuts it’s still in the box it’s just too damn Perfect to shoot. Perhaps will save for my son who is also an avid shooter at 25
Mr. Sootch00, I just love and appreciate your channel on gun reviews and how to disassemble the firearm, and you always give your honest opinion on each firearms! I really like this pistol! Great review! Sir!👍
Beautiful gun!!Could easily be a $2000 gun. Especially with everything it comes with. Other companies better start doing this. Thank you Canik for keeping us shooters very happy. Excellent review too thank you very much
I impulse bought one of these. Never owned a Canik before but this thing really caught my eye. I'm one of those guys that is content with a box stock Glock. I put 250 rounds through it the day I bought the gun. I absolutely love it!
this was a brilliant collaboration and it’s going to to very good not just because of the name but because this price it will be obtainable for a lot more people for people that can’t afford it or people who can refuse to spend that much on a handgun and you start contemplating all the guns you could buy for $5k or more
I’m excited for this pistol, I haven’t seen all the John wick movies, but I stumbled across the pit viper by taran tactical and thought wow I’d love to have that.. then I saw the 7k price tag. I feel like this is giving me a somewhat similar fire arm for 1/7 the price. It will be my first canik and I’m very excited to have it in hand.. about 15 more days (If I’m lucky) lol.
Looks like a great gun. I really need to fire a Canik. I’ve been hearing good things about them over the past couple of years. The first thing I noticed is quickly the muzzle drops back down. That’s one of reasons I really like the M&P Shield for concealed carry. Can’t wait to go shoot a Canik.
I got mine last week. It is my third Canik. It was only available with the optic ($150 extra) for a total of $1,099. The gun and the optic are impressive so far. The optic is a Trijicon SRO clone. I'm not saying it is as good as Trijicon, but no issues so far. It holds zero and the glass is very clear. The only thing I can think of that would make this package better is suppressor height night sights and maybe a few more magazines. It is an absolutely tremendous value.
I watch a bunch of videos on YT of gun reviews for potential gun purchases. I have never seen this channel until now. I love this channel so far. Much better than most.
Hey Sootch! The gun is great but this new Camera you have is even better! Close ups were phenomenal and so was your close up as well! Looks freaking awesome!
People are gonna say I'm silly but I like my low budget arms ... My SD9VE, Canik TP9SF-Elite, my sub-$400 FNS-40 and my M&P 1.0 9mm I paid $299 .... all were purchased New ...
I would like to review a .45 caliber gun. The reason is that a police officer in Thailand used a 9 mm gun to shoot a 70 year old man who had a knife in his hand and ran over and stabbed the police officer at close range. The police used their guns and shot the attacker four or five times but couldn't stopped the old man. In the end, the policeman was stabbed by a criminal until his intestines came out. As for the criminal who was shot by the police, he was injured.
I’m a Vietnam Veteran and I went in the Marines in 1966 I had only shot a single shot rifle at rabbits. But I hated the 45 , I am living but if Sootch would have shown me this canick & trained me to shoot like he does, I would have had more experience & kills to my name lol 😂! Mr. sootch you are a master at shooting with a beautiful tool like this, thank you 🙏, I am 75 years old and I need a new weapon like this to make my life simple I am a single simple man just like you but you are so great at shooting all the guns you shoot thank you so much!!!! I hope to buy one, it will be a 9 mm with the underwood Xtreme Defender ammo I guarantee a messed up person will only need 1 shot above the belt to make his day very short lol be safe Mr. Sootch great job!!!
@@twee12gauge In a situation of emergency and the villain is too close to be able to aim as desired. A shot to the torso is the most likely target. Therefor, a larger bullet such as .45 ACP may be the best choice.
Hey Sootch just received my May Guns & Ammo Who has announced that Taurus has a new bolt action rifle called the Expedition chambered in 308 Winchester.
Never been a fan of CANiK, but TTI collaboration with it for under a $1000? Damn... you have my attention. I've been trying to look for local store that has it, but a lot seems to already sold out at the moment.
Wow, very nice pistol! I love my Mete sft. I would love to have one of those but times are changing too fast right now and I have other things pressing at the moment. Great review as always !!
I wish they'd include a sort of "blank" comp that blocks the ported barrel, that way it could also be used for shooting sports where they don't allow comps... (Which is stupid because all the other tuning shenanigans are allowed, but I don't make the rules)
I appreciate all the superlatives and admonishments, but it’s always best to compare it to a specific guy like the Canik rival S, or the WALTER PDP pro or something And to refer to the release date, and the potential waiting time because if the gun ain’t available, it’s not desirable
Great review as usual Don Thank you. Any idea when they will be available and where to buy one. If these are only $900 that looks to be a bargain I may have to finally move away from Glocks for my range gun this looks awesome and compaired to the prices of their guns on their website $900 is a huge win.
Most definitely...I kept 2 of my glocks but switched the other 4 out for caniks, they're literally my favorite striker fired pistols - I'm more of a hammer fired guy
