Hyundai Elantra is prone to engine problems often needing engine replacement as well as other problems. Not a reliable vehicle. Toyota Corolla is the highest selling sedan in Canada and the US and most reliable hence has very low depreciation so high resale value. Very very low ongoing maintenance costs. Honda Civic is also a solid reliable vehicle with good resale value.

Bro, In Canada it’s not good idea to pay 50% dp bcz depreciation cost is high , best advice to keep money into your bank account and pay as low as you can, future is unpredictable i mean pay according to usage of car , I just ordered a Hyundai luxury elantra 2024 , I was supposed to pay 30 % dp but as i spoke with Experienced Car owners , they said don’t do that , by the way Congrats 🎉 for new car

Steering lock takes 3-10 mins to be broken by professionals and so does wheel lock. Contrary when you put these lock you let people know that these car owner is not around. Have its own pro and cons. Put car tracker instead which can’t be found easily. Apple tracker that does not make beep I.e. remove speaker by jail breaking it at home - 5 min job from yt videos instructions.

Hii bro i am also buying elantra on this 10th may and i saw your whole video u mentioned we should not take wheel lock n other accessories like this i agree with u after watching ur video n asking everyone told same thing like u thanks for information but my concern is a month ago i booked the car at that time just give me work sheet charging $2799 for all this and i signed that paper but now i don’t want this what should I do my car delivery is on 10th may. My rule of thumb is never spend more than $12-15k on a used car. Anything beyond that, just buy a new affordable car and drive it till the wheels fall off.

That's the life expectancy of a Hyundai/Kia. In Canada we drive at least like 30-40,000 kms a year.

@@pritish.mukherjee I had 2017 Hyundai Elantra. I drove it till 276,000km. I used to drive 8,000 km/monthly. Same engine and transmission. The only part I replaced in it was passenger side heat/AC actuator and a battery. The issue is people don't do schedule maintenance and drive to kill it. Cars are not cell phones. You're not supposed to be swapping them every f****** 4 years. The only reason I don't have that car anymore it's because someone crashed into me which wrote off the vehicle. Otherwise that vehicle would have gone another 150k without any major issues.

@@SanjayPatel-sb5tx Maintenance for sure plays a major role, it's just that my friend got a 2016 elantra, just 110,000 kms and he had to pay $6000 for engine replacement. It's not a bad car by any means but it's just that Korean cars in Canada do not have the best reputation when it comes to engines. I'm considering the 2024 Kona for myself but it's just that I am not confident how well it will run in 4-5 years compared to a Japanese brand Mazda/Toyota/Honda.

1st this is HYUNDAI not HONDA ELANTRA!!! 2nd I think dealership gave you very wrong information. Hyundai is prone to more issue, body is made of cheap materials, there is no waiting of 6 months anymore. There was waiting only during Covid times! Plus it does not have good resale values compared to Toyota/Honda. So probably very much misinformation and only like Elantra promo video. PS: I have 2018 Elantra (Using from 6 years) that’s why can say this information!

Firstly there is six months waiting in Elantra today also... Secondly don't compare six years old model with today's model... If you own a 2018 model that doesn't mean that new Elantra is still the same... The demand of Elantra has risen sky highs and presently it's the only sedan which comes at a better price as compared to its competitors(civic and Corolla)..... He is saying the right things ... If your Elantra is not getting the price you want on resale, then definitely it will have some issues or you are demanding high. Don't know why people behave themselves as smart and feels as the other person is a fool, only you are smart here in the world.

Go to any dealers outside of GTA, you will get the car in max 2-3 months. I was mentioning about general resale price, not for my car. I have low mileage so getting decent amount anyways. He can’t pronounce correct car name and you are telling about right things! :D :D
