Congratulations on the Countryman! Big MINI fan here, having had 4 - Cooper D, Cooper S Clubman, JCW Coupe & JCW Hatch. You can get beltline kits to apply yourself, a bit fiddly but I lacked patience. Google MINI R60 beltline kit (R60 being the modelcode for a Countryman). The other thing to be wary of is if it has the N14 engine or not. It was replaced by the N18 in 2011, so I’m not sure if the Countryman ever had the older one. If it is the older version, check the service history to see if it’s been ‘decoked’. The N14 engine was prone to carbon build up in the valves, I had to get mine done at 40,000 miles. All the Countryman petrol engines are 1.6 turbo by the way, the 2.0 was introduced in the latest generation :) In answer to your question, Cooper S was 177-184hp, JCW was 214 I think.

Dude, nice car! I'm a little jealous, not gonna lie. I'm a fan of the old 60's classic minis as well, but that Countryman is sick! That is good advice about finance options, and shopping around, but sometimes the dealership can give you a good interest rate. I bought a new Kia Soul, and Kia was able to offer me 0% APR.

I love minis because they don’t age. My mini’s a 54 plate done 80k miles and it looks so much better than the corsas and polo’s of its age. Nice choice I love the countryman.

Just bought a 2012 JCW Countryman R60 (Silver) with panoramic roof and ALL4. Came with 19 inch JCW alloy summers (new tires) and black 18 inch winter alloys (good condition tires). All leather black interior with the 3 person bench back seat. 100K km but will full mini garage maintenance + recent expertise + 1 year power train and engine warranty. All in, USD 13,900. Ran well and engine sounds good on cold start. JCW brakes with new pads...rotors looked VG. As an R55 owner with experience on the infamous N14, I was keen to listen & feel for the timing chain on the N18's cold start. No leaks...engine was clean around the valve cover. No faults per the OBD II bluetooth and my Torque Pro app. All in all, looking forward to taking delivery this week.

Dude, I just bought an R60, it's nice getting the feedback on the tinting and dechroming! You're lucky that your car has the factory fit projector headlights, so I had to get some chromiumtech facelift projector headlight conversions. Ordered the DIY 20% tint to do myself. Did you have to shrink the rear window with an air gun much?
