I request president to atleast raise the basic pay for article minimum 20k.. even a labour earns more than article.. if a student goes for articleship in other town the basic rent is 10k .. further the Salary of a CA has been so low being such a prestigious profession its not justfied at all! A MBA student from IIM gets a package of 20 lpa and a CA 10lpa .. please set some standards on it!

On the other hand, if I gain experience in multiple roles, I might not excel in any one area. Therefore, it is essential that articles are given the opportunity to choose their preferred role. My suggestion is to offer exposure to various roles, such as audit, taxation, and advisory, in the first year to help students gain comprehensive experience and identify their interests. In the second year, articles should be assigned to their preferred role based on their interest or performance, such as taxation if that is where their interest lies. This approach would enhance students' careers and allow them to plan accordingly. Both articles and firms benefit from each other. Therefore, it is important for both to work effectively. After gaining experience in multiple roles in the first year, articles and firms will work more efficiently when articles specialize in their chosen role in the second year. This would reduce labor turnover and training costs, as articles may continue to work with the same firm after qualifying as CA. I hope ICAI considers such changes to reduce student exploitation and improve the articleship experience.

To all my fellow CAs here, I have a request for all of you. Let our juniors and other students who are planning to get into CA know that it's not worth it. The Risk-Reward ratio here is a joke. Sacrificing 5-6,7,8,9 years of our lives and mental health, studying 2-3 degrees worth in a single go, clearing those tough exams with arbitrary evaluations only to see a Btech grad who learnt a course earn more than us doing a job which they got through a referral or back door and having a better work life balance. Cherry on top is the same big 4 companies pay 9lpa to CAs while paying 15-20lpa for these techies.

If 8-9 lacs is peanuts, then why did you approve of 9 LPA CTC? Make it at least 15 LPA. You only are the president sir. Don't blame members for not opting for practice, instead create better opportunities in industry through ICAI.

There is no consistency in pass percentage of CA exams, sometimes papers are made so easy, that pass percentage crosses 20% and sometimes, they are made so difficult, lengthy, that pass percentage is hardly 8-10%. There should be parity in pass percentages over attempts.
Money spent is peanuts, but opportunity cost, anxiety, frustration is phenomenal worst condition of article in many firm is not good. CA course is not same for every one sir.

Now CA practice is become impossible. New generation is aimed to pass CA only .Their focus is only for studies and not to do poorly paid stipend.They don't want to spoil by doing sincere work which only academic Article ship is glorified slavery only. Nowadays most of accounts are made using computer's and CA life is dedicated to research in accouting standards and income tax.So poor computer knowledge made their job at high risk.Nobody knows what is true interpretation in GST laws, apparently very simple but interpretation is very complex. Last but not least only unlucky students will join this courses.The remuneration is very less compared to the responsibility.Moreover the Institute is more interested in generating new standards rather than condition of students and role of institute for spoiling bright future. Compared CA a good central government job is more lucrative.

CA is economical course for a lower income group students and no competition and reservation. Agar ye teen benefit na ho to lucrative nahi hai. Goverment job grade A me competition and reservation and private se padhai ke liye paisa fenko tamasha dekho wala scene hai.
CA degree originally meant for attestation authority as being Auditor. That was real "Chartered Accountant" In my opinion, now ICAI is producing qualified accountants for jobs in industry. An intelligent commerce graduate, who have some experience in taxation, can also do almost same job. Somewhere they are also getting more salary than CAs in Industry. Still more professionalism, expertise , deep insights and long vision qualities of CA can not be denied. But whether so long and hard course that take so many years, justify with outcome? Why new CAs are doing jobs in a stressfull corpoeate culture and in a hirerachy where boss is right? If there are ample opportunities in practice, then hardly a few will go in jobs. Industrial job is not an opportunity, its a compulsion of non opportunity in practice. We are originated for auditing the accounts, not for accounting. We are made for assuring accounting and tax compliances to authorities, not for doing job under businessman. Just my personal views.
Institute has increased Passing percentage... Now many of my qualified CA friends are searching for jobs and now even they are accepting jobs at lower pay. All thanks to ICAI. The industry is encouraging The CAs who have additional qualification. Now CA is becoming the next BCOM.

Friend, I think ICAI is doing much better now recently they have provided CA gpt which is seriously very helpful otherwise in online classes it's difficult to ask so many doubts from teacher now due to ca gpt my 97 per doubts have been cleared and icai has also provide us with mcqs pattern in the examinations , However I think icai should think something about black and white books and make them colorful so that students take intrest specially in law because it's too boring to study with black and white modules , at the end of the day I proud that I'm CA student and in future we'll be the part of this immense icai institute ❤
for ca inter and final passing rates are usually still in single digit. this time there was a change in syllabus which is why passing rates were higher
Plz share the dropout rate, chat gpt will replace accounting and internal audit. What will CA will do? People are looking for short term course and early settlement in life. No on has whole life to write exams
1. Too much surplus of CAs 2. CA councils recommends to charge a basic certain amount from their clients (ie Personal Tax sevices) which is somehwhat on higher side. And people dont want to pay ~10K for their income to be audited & planned. Apperantly people wish to get their things done for cheap even if it compromises quality & Security. 3. In order for the pervious thing to happen Government havent made people's life easy so that they could afford such Services. BUT POINT 1&3 ARE MAINLY THE CULPIT.
Instead of doing CS CA CMA in india its better to take a MBA degree abroad.. Poor education system of India... Indian Institute like ICSI, ICMA and ICAI trap students belonging to middle class poor family... Students have to keep on paying the exam fee results will be percentage based on demand and supply but they will never accept that... People are silently tolerating all this.... These courses are given over hype projected as if it is best course high salary package thanks to the youtubers for promoting these institutes... But reality is very different....
Very soon foreign courses like US CMA , CPA ,CFA Coming in Indian market will take huge share away from institutes like ICMAI and ICAI. They will be left with nothing.

Institute is concerned for collecting exam fees and how to reduce pass percentage and create artificial demand. But life of young students are wasted which very expensive compared to monitory one . Like IIT and other educational setups, there no full time educational classes with good teaching facultues.Some time they are conducting classes at Institute with low paid professionals. But private coaching classes in Metro getting more money and others have no opportunity .

Sir pls dont give bumper results in CA Final like may 24. We are not getting jobs. Due to such supply Companies are offering 32000 - 50000 per month only and that too in metro cities. Fo that they are conducting psychometric test to filter the candidates. Situation is very bad for recently qualified CAs.

Practice has become very difficult due to unusual increase in Tax consultant, accountant and fake CA. As a practicing CA in a very small district Kokrajhar, Assam, almost most of the work is done by accountants and tax consultants. Our market is already dominated by them. Very difficult to get new clients.
Being a CA aspirant the empowerment in ghis field is no more stable ....the requirement of passing attempts qualified is going huge in random attempts ....the conspiracy for proper articleship should be proper advised
The timeline for CA exam might lengthen as one has to paas both groups of Inter before starting 2 years articleship. Earlier people used to continue with the articleship with only one group bein cleared and used to clear another group during the articleship itself.
Audit, accounting and tax are backward thinking professions. Most of these works seems monotonous and boring too. That's why the young CAs are not interested to practice. Whereas there are many core finance fields like investment banking, asset management, PE, VC etc which are forward thinking jobs. These careers offer high salary and are interesting than traditional accounting and audit roles. But sadly many CAs find it difficult to land in this field unless they have a competitive advantage like vast network, articleship in big firms, All india rank etc. CA course itself is just a basics of core finance. The only paper related to finance is AFM paper which is still just basics. I recommend young CAs to take courses like CFA, FRM etc to land in finance roles.
Salary of Average CA in 2009 as Fresher: 6-12 lakhs Inflation Adjusted in 2024 should equal to 15 lakhs -27 lakhs , but in reality Only Ranker gets 15-27 lakhs package

The CA career has lost its charm. Its only the respect that is left for CA's but no money. I read an article recently where CA's were given 3.8 LPA in ICAI campus placement. May be should have foreseen the future before taking up CA. Advice: Don't take up CA as career here onwards. This career is too dark and depressive.

His thoughts on ground level reality is baffling. More people passed this attempt because students studied better? More students passed only because paper was set easy and they pushed border students. This whole course has become a trap.
ICAI is doing monopoly in terms of fees in CA course. Admission fees have increased, exam fees earlier 3300 now also the same while the papers have reduced to 6 from 8. Students need to complete the trainings before appearing final exam, i dont find any logic. Gor each spom they're charging 500 even if you fail, then why 3300 for 6 papers if you cant adjust?
Articleship is nothing just bounded labour , and irony is that today students who are saying stipend is less in tomorrow when they become CA they also want to avail benefit of cheap article as employee to ensure to get a 2 year bonded labour with less pay and article can't complaint about that
