the ability icon for the q looks irritating because it has that very light blue tint that abilities usually get when your champion is out of mana. so it constantly looks like you dont have enough mana to cast your q. it messes with my head.

3:47 Sooooo many dudes totally missed the need to cs with Q to get dependable stacks. Doing that, I’ve seen +300 stack games by 20 minutes, and those Qs hurt REAL bad then. Also, Vandiril made a video showing what Smolder looks like with 5000 stacks. It is gorgeous!

As much as I know my ELO is gonna be rife with people moaning "OMG Braindead champ, gg ff @ 15", I really do like that Riot is making champs that are good for new players to pick up roles still. The turnover rate in this game is atrocious and it needs that newblood to keep going, but it's slowly gonna flicker out if new players feel overwhelmed. Much easier to learn to ADC with a champ like Smolder, than say....Aphelios. Last-hitting is easy to many but when you first start out, it takes all your focus and you don't need to be worrying about which of your several different weapons to set up, or reading a wholeass novel of a passive to figure out how to play your champ even decently. And lets be real, as easy as point and click skills are...they're not without flaw. You ever try to use them on an ulting Vayne who keeps going invis in her tumbles every handful of seconds, frequently cancelling your autos? XD

He looks too underpowered to be honest, lacks a good steroid or high damage ability like mf or range like ezreal.

Honestly could use a buff or slightly more scaling damage on Q. Cool kit but not blown away but capability.
