I like that Chanel are becoming adventurous with their shadows. I bought every one of the Byzance Quads which I've thoroughly enjoyed using. The Baroque, with the red, green, gold and white sparkles got much use at Christmas! I'm loving this Quad in the video but I've bought so much that I need to put the brakes on. I still have the Christmas Quint to get into yet. It's nice to see a bit of a change from a brand, which is why I was so excited with the Byzance Collection. I just have to put my will-power into full force!💖
Oh Abby! You're not supposed to be tempting me, not so soon anyway. I love this Quad as the shades are the ones I'm drawn too. I would have worn it with the lightest shade swept over the entire lid. Use the taupe matte in the crease as you did, add the charcoal shade to the outer edge and smudge gently towards the crease and slightly over the outer edge of the mobile lid. This will then give the high-shine shimmer a base to adhere too when added over the mobile lid. It didn't seem to have much substance to it, so having the charcoal down first will ground it. I have the eye-liner in 72 Or Rose which doesn't show up brightly either but looks great for the inner eye 'v', brow bone and for lining under the lower lashes. It doesn't show up enough in my waterline either, yet looks great when I have a black/brown etc. in the waterline and then the Or Rose underneath. Do you have Dior's Backstage Eye Palette in Universal Neutrals? It has a great slightly hardened gel in one of the pans that makes using shadow as eye-liner easier. You dip the brush into the gel and then into whatever shade you wan't to use as a liner. It works very well, making the shadow adhere so much better. I only wish they would bring it out as a separate product. I kept my Chanel Quint and Luminisor for Christmas, so I'm yet to use it but adore those shades. You just made me think of a palette that I'm sure would suit you beautifully, which I have on today. It's Rabanne's Eyephoria Handbag Palette in Feel My Vibe. The colours would look terrific on you. You may even get lucky and find them on special at Selfridges. They reduced the entire range of Prada, so you may get lucky with Rabanne. They have such lovely soft shades in the majority of cases. There are four Quads with only one that is a tad deeper with the green, but it's absolutely beautiful. Even their Duo Eye Palettes have nice light shimmers that are great for one & dones or with a matte crease shade. I know you would love them, as I have every one except for the Duo that has two very creamy shades that aren't for me. We've been so spoilt with new releases this year, especially the Rabanne and Prada. I think another you would love would be the new Valentino Flip Palette called When In Paris. It has eight pans altogether. Yes, there is a reddish shade amongst them, yet it looks more copperish than a full on red. I also got mine on special at Selfridges too, plus a whole bunch of reduced lipsticks! How can a girl resist? I had so much fun with the Baroque Quad from the Chanel Byzance Collection that came out later last year. It was the one with the red, green, antique gold and sparkly white! Perfect for Christmas, even in our heat. I loved adding an entire shade, such as green, all over the lid and blended out the edges. I then stamped the white sparkles over it to look like snow! I lined underneath the lashed with red and added the gold to the inner eye or onto the brow bone slightly or changed the colours around. As long as the green and red don't touch, due to becoming muddy, your fine. I know it was an indulgence to have bought all four, but I love each one! It actually rained all day on Christmas Day for us and the weather was rather mild at about only 25°celsuis. No-one can remember such a cool or wet Christmas! Is that Chanel Quad you have Limited Edition again or becoming part of the regular line? I'm not saying I'll get it, just curious.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

The Christmas Quint is a beauty! If it's not having a matte in it, just use some bronzer or blend out the edges of the shades. Chanel never go over the top with shimmery shadows, so having a palette without mattes isn't a big concern. I got stuck into the Baroque Quad from the Byzance Collection late last year over Christmas. The one with all shimmer/satins in red, green, gold and the white sparkles. I never used a matte, just blended the edges softly and stamped the white sparkles over the main shade over the lid which looked like snow. A welcome relief when living in Australia. Although, on Christmas Day, it actually rained all day and only got to 25°celsuis which was a pleasant surprise. We couldn't remember the last time it had been this cool on Christmas Day or had rained. That's why it's rare that most cook our meals, yet have cold food instead. The Christmas Quint is a very nice palette and maybe worth a swatch when nearby a stockist?💖
I bought this palette and it is beautiful….just note, for a light medium skin tone, only the black and khaki shimmer show up on my eyes, the others give off no pigment payoff on my eyes, they are completely nude in the truest sense. Also PSA for my Canadian peeps; I bought this at the Chanel counter at Shoppers in Toronto….
Very excited about this quad and liners! I called the boutiques near me and they did not have it yet. My Dillards Chanel lady is going to help me get it. Definitely up my alley!
Hi Abby it’s a beautiful look, but I have so many. The holiday one is similar so does LE Vega, and I am going to try to do the low buy for the makeup again. I did last year, and ah I wasn’t as successful, but I did do better than previous years🤪. Now I was intrigued by the eyeliner, is it worth it? I was looking also at nude éclait eye-liner . Its not new but by pictures looks kind of bright 🤔. I love the lipstick. I just picked up a red one, rouge flou , its warmer one. 2.55 still on my list. This year, I am preparing to invest, to natural non invasive, but good effect treatments. I need to reverse 10-15 years back😜. Have a blessed day🙏❤️
There is another similar eye-liner in 72 Or Rose that I bought last year. It's slightly deeper than this one but not by much. I use it to line the inner 'v' of the eye, line under the lower lash line and sometimes on the brow bone. I do prefer a deeper colour in my waterline, so having this underneath the lashes gives a slight sparkle without looking too much. It doesn't show up in my waterline either and Abby is my skin-twin. It may be worth a look at if you can't find this new one but they do look quite similar. Best of luck.💖
@@giedrebey5444 It does get that way when we have so much we can't remember everything we have! I don't know when it came out, yet it was last year I finally bought it. As I live so far away from any stores that sell luxury make-up brands, I have to buy everything online or deal with a store directly. That's why I don't always know when certain products come out. It's unusual for me to buy an eye-liner this colour, but I loved the shade. As long as I have a darker liner to pair it with, I don't look washed out.💖
This looks so super stunning on you, dear Abby, the colour of your beautiful green eyes and cooler hair colour, the whole combination is super beautiful!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩This quad ended up 20pct off already here in The Netherlands, than at ICI Paris XL, than at Douglas, so of course i picked it up! Could not use it, swatched it, and the colours, i love beautiful but also easy colours, and that black is not that black indeed, and i'm a bit lighter than you, Abby, the black seems a sort of chameleon colour, it has some dark grey, just a hint of green, and also a beautiful soft sheen, gonna try on the the outer corners of my eyes! These pencils hurt my sensitive eyes sometimes, but i purchased the brown one for good eye days, it's so beautiful! But mostly i prefer only soft eyeliners, that stay, mostly Chantecaille. But super beautiful, loved the video, i will absolutely combine this one with their holiday quad, it's indeed the same sort of colourstory, but this newest palette/quad has more possiblities indeed.
