I always crack up so bad whenever you talk about your "team" 😂 I'm on the fence about the new shades, they are sooo beautiful, but I'm not sure I need them. Thank you for showing them to us. You know, I wish the matte shades of this were better. I'd love for charlotte to reformulate them.
Ha ha. My team is just terrible. Including the catering department. They bring me no food. Ha ha I wish the matte release had been a creamier texture. Those were such a huge fail for me.
These are actually one of my favorite CT eye formulas! I use star gold so often these days! I think exagger eyes looked really really good on you Rebecca!
Good morning Rebecca 🦋 Charlotte sure snuck these up on us and gosh, I am all about cream shadows. Exagger-Eyes looks lovely (and very pretty with your green eyes).
Thank you so much, Maggie! The golden eclipse is very pretty in the sunshine. We have to see it that way since that’s the way we all hope to wear it! 💕
These shades are all so stunning. They slipped under my radar for sure! Just ordered the exagger-eyes and then I’ll get the other two. Thank you as always for such a great vid to show us all. Xx
I’ve ordered the sunlit glow, looks so different, was tempted by exaggereyes, but looks similar to oyster pearl, can you please do a comparison Rebecca, another fab review from you 😊
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty No worries! I appreciate you responding. I did find where someone posted comparisons of the two, and they do look quite different. Let’s be honest though, I probably will buy all three new shades regardless of how similar they might be to the previous ones hahaha. Charlotte Tilbury is my weakness, and the eyes to mesmerize might be my favorite product of hers
Hello there! Such a great question. I will have to update you when I find out the answer. This was such a quiet release. I have no idea if it was accidental and they are planning to make a bigger deal out of it soon? It does not say limited edition anywhere on the website so my guess is that they will promote it maybe with another upcoming release? And I bet it will move out slowly to other retailers. But I will update when I know more.
Golden Eclipes was actually released in an exclusive set by Charlotte for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2 years ago! I have it and was wondering if she ever was going to bring it back. Great review as always Rebecca! ❤️
Haha! Thank you, Katherine. Keeping the staff in line! Haha. I actually use these as a primer themselves but you can use a primer or a bit of concealer on the lid too! Can help avoid creasing if you experience it.
Incredibly low key launch for CT. Not the all singing, dancing like literally the pillow talk party launch. Having said that, I am excited for my pots to arrive. Edit: those older pop shades disappoint me so much every time. So very glad the eyes to mesmerise matches the exaggerise pop shade closely.
I was surprised by two things here. Both of which you mentioned in your comment. Number one that the pop shade matches the ETM shade. And also that this was released so quietly. I saw something on her Instagram about how something is yet to come, so maybe it was accidentally put up for sale and will be advertised more heavily next week or this week? I didn’t even know the people at Charlotte Tilbury knew how to do something quietly. Ha ha
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I think they were for sale early and were available when the latest sale starts. I saw at least one CT Instagram post saying they’d be available on the 28th
Hey love you mind comparing pillow talk eyes to mesmerized to the Patrick ta rose cream shade from the rose palette? I own Patrick ta so I would like to see how they look against eachother.
What a super good video, and love also the demonstration of the colours outside your house so much, in sunshine/daylight!!!👏👏🤩🤩👏👏🤩🤩 Will i buy these? The Golden Eclipse is a bit to warm for my liking, but the Exagger-Eyes i really like, although i hated the quad, same with the original Pillow Talk, does not show, or only a little bit. I really want from Charlotte an Exagger-Eyes and an original Pillow Talk in her 2.0 quality!!! But what do i want? I think the Exagger-Eyes, and for sure, of course as eyeshadow addict, but not wanting to much heavy, like PMG shadows on my senstive eyes to much: that Sunlit Glow!!!!!!😍Wish i could order from your website, i tried before from American RU-vidrs, basket emptied when i have to log in and they see that i am from The Netherlands. Basket empty, and everything changes in euro's, same with British RU-vidrs, i really dislike this so much about Charlotte, i also told that in a chat. But i hear nobody about it. I think, we, as subscribers, are so thankful for all the lovely video's you make, that we should act all together against this, so much it irritates me about the CT brand. But do i want that special shade, the Sunlit Gow, yes, the eyeshadow addict wants!!! So yes, she did it again, i will buy that Sunlit Glow although i hate not being able to support lovely RU-vidrs, who are of course walking commercials for her!!! Here it's 30 euro per shadow, the euro is almost the same as the dollar now because the war on the continent here. But it so much worse for our Ukrainian friends!!! I pray every day that the war stops! Gonna sleep, maybe buy from the UK website, or tomorrow. Thanks for another very good video full of energy and humor, i just love your Channel, have an amazing day, dear Rebecca!!!!😘😘😘😘
And I love your comments, Annemarie!!!! Yesss the Sunlit Glow is a great alternative to a much heavier duochrome powder shadow. You are so thoughtful regarding ordering. Not a problem at all. I’m just so happy to have you here sharing in all of this with me.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty o, sorry for this, i am such a chaotic person!!! Sorry for the late reply!!! Yes, was wearing it again today: that Sunlit Glow, i need 3 back ups, i guess, before cute Charlotte decides that she stops? Like with the Fire Rose quad?
I was exited about these then looking I was like I think I really like the shades I have better! But the exagereyes does look great. Better thab I thought. I don’t think I have that palette. I’m pretty sure I don’t.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thank you! I will too! I heard there’s another VIB sale around the corner in August. I’m hoping these will be at Sephora by then.
I have to be honest with you. As long as you keep the cap on nice and tightly, I have had most of these shades for years and years and they are all fine. I also keep them in a nice cool dry place
It is a no for me. I have all the other shades, except for the matte ones as they had so many bad reviews. But I literally use none as I find it too much of a glittery mess on my mature eyes. Did not keep me from buying them though, as it always looked so nice on CT's (filtered) photo's and videos. I wish she would do more mattes instead.
I totally understand. Cream shadows, especially with a mousse like texture can be extra work and messy. As I noted, I can’t put my finger in the pot because my nails make it impossible I don’t even have very long nails at all. So I totally understand where you’re coming from.
Exagger-eyes is my ultimate favourite quad from CT its my favourite pop shade! I’m definitely picking up the Exagger-eyes and Sunlit Glow love the pink xx
Hard pass but looks pretty for you SoCal sun goddess 🌞🌟💋🥰👍 I remember that CT video you did plus just the "pop" shades...seems like a long, long time ago!! 😂🥂✨💫🍾 Ya come a long way bebe!! 💖 And HR must mean Haus O Rebecca
Ha ha! Exactly. My secretary, my editor, my research team, my camera crew, the craft food services team. Ha ha ha. None of them are any good and they would all sue me.
Hey Rebecca I have a question! Charlotte tilbury launched this triple pack quite awile ago and it's got mascara and 2 eyes to mesmerize shade uts called Gorgeous Glowing Eye Secrets. One eyes2M is star gold and the other is golden eclipse.. by any chance do you know if this new release of golden eclipse is a re-release of that shade, or if it is a new color with the same name?
As far as CT eyeshadows, I only have a holiday palette so I’m super tempted to get these. I know they’re more of a mousse texture but as far as the glitter is concerned- would you say the glitter pieces are smaller than say the Hourglass Scattered Light singles? Amazing review as always! Thank you so much! On camera, the new Exaggereyes really popped on you! 🤩
Hello Savanah! Yes, I would say the glitter particles are much more finally milled than we see in the hourglass. In fact, I would say that you don’t even see the glitter until you take off the pigment.
Oh my oh my your timing is freaky. I wore my pillow talk pot today & have been tossing around what other shades to pick up on the CT website earlier. They are so easy to wear & you know I love me a one & done after the recent tarte purchase. I did not see the sunlit glow but had my eye on the exagger eyes pot. The sunlit glow might look nice blended with my pillow talk for a bit more pizzazz. Looks like another couple of must haves Rebecca. You got me with the Sonia G yesterday too. Stop it. Just stop it. Haha.
interesting, i never thought to use sunlit as a topper! what shades would you put underneath it? does that mean it's slightly translucent? I agree it's the most unique/exciting shade! i don't own the exxagereyes quad but the only argument for powders over creams is the shelf life (and perhaps slightly more sparkle?) Sonia Butler mentioned that sunlit is a close cream version of the duochrome in celestial pearl, a holiday quad from last year. i technically have that quad but this cream is still calling my name haha! once i decide which quad i am getting in that combo deal i can officially checkout. (exxagereyes, bella sofia and golden goddess are all solid contenders lol.) glad i waited to see this review first too :) ps i used to live in long beach! belmont heights :D
Stop, Jenn!!!! Belmont Heights!!! OMG. How fun!! I’m so close to there. You’ll be called neighbor now even tho you’ve moved. Haha. I love that. I think sunlit would be gorgeous over either a gold or pink powder shadow or over a color chameleon of any shade really. I need to try that actually.
I have lots of these pots and love them. I often use these as base especially for shimmer and toppers and it helps fallout and enhances the shine. I often play with these with different shadows on top and it's like creating whole new shades! I bought golden eclipse and star gold in a set from Cult Beauty last year. Pretty. Great review as always 😀
Hi Rebecca Thank you for reviewing the new CT eyes to mesmerize shadows! 🥰 I love the exxagerize shade but it looks similar to oyster pearl or amber gold.🤔 I’m a big fan of them as a great base. Susan 😘
Exagger-eyes will be mine! I love that shade. Sunset is an interesting multi chrome shade. Not over the top which is nice. Passing on the golden one. My wallet say No, but my eyes say… YES!! 🤪 We need to have a party when you reach 10,000 subs!! 🎉🎉🎉 ❌⭕️❌⭕️ ~CeCe ❤️🤗
I have to confess to be bored with colours which give or take a few tones are basically from the same colour palette. Green, navy, teal would be a refreshing change but I suppose they aren’t as popular 😟
Hello sally! There has been much debate over why it is that Charlotte seems to only do warm copper and orange shades. Some say it’s because that is what is always looks good on her and that has become her forte. Others say it’s because that is what sells. To be honest with you it baffles me as well. It seems that she would have a wide open market if she really wanted to explore other shades but she really never does. I
I love her eyes to mesmerize shadows. I like all of the 3 new shades. I’m going to wait until they’re available at Nordstroms to buy them. Thanks for another great video ! 😘
Hello Tina! I think these are really worthwhile. Right now, I have found out that they are limited edition but that should not stop them from coming to places like Nordstrom or Sephora. I will keep my ear to the ground.
Hi lovely Rebecca !! That such a coincidence 😱 I have not long purchased the Exagger eyes palette and I love the pop shade . It looks so nice in the cream formula on your eyes , I’m definitely picking it up . Thanks once again for the heads up
Every time I see a new drop of these amazing eyes to mesmerize, I cross my fingers a hope🙏 that it's going to be cool enough to work for my skin tone, or try to convince myself I can make it work😬why can't there be a few cooler shades for us who can't pull off warm! But this is just a fantasy I try to convince myself one day will happen. Until then, I'll be missing out on these... love your content!! I always trust your opinion! 💗
Michelle! Though in the past there have been a few cooler, darker shades, it is true that Charlotte has perfected and then perfected again and then perfected again warm tones. Some people think that perhaps she started with what would work on her skin tone and with her hair color and has never strayed from that. There is definitely a Charlotte look. A “Tilbury eye” that she does not deviate from. It is very interesting. There is no doubt the Brand has heard us all request cool shades but they are very coy, so far, about not doing them.
I absolutely think your right! I see this in a lot of brands, they create products that compliment themselves and its hard to branch out from that because everyone select things based on our own preferences. I know if I created makeup I'd start with what I like the most. I have thought this for a long time but no one has ever acknowledged it. It's so refreshing to hear genuine opinion! So many creators on this platform don't engage us with the or share beliefs that they truly think, but give more of a blanket answer to make everyone happy. This is why I love your content! You give a honest answer! Thank you!! 😊
@@michellebernier7367 I'm so flattered, Michelle. Thank you so much!!! I was actually just thinking about this with the Gucci palette. I thought, "Do I genuinely dislike this palette or do I just not like powder blue? And would I ever approve a powder blue for my own, imaginary makeup line? Ugh. no." right? So our own opinions very much come into it. Strange.
Hey Rebecca… Thank you for your review. The sunlit glow looks like the rose fire nectar shade from Pat Mcgrath Venus in Fleurs quad because it has that pink to gold flip too… what do you think? Are they similar?
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty right!!! They are unusually warm for Ms. Tilbury but a welcome addition nonetheless. They do have a bit of glitter in the base but it’s not offensive. I’m one of the folks who doesn’t have an aversion to glitter on the eyes or face or body. It’s like a necessary evil🤣
@@traciewarren1070 I feel the same about glitter and fallout. I can tolerate a little bit of glitter. I get it. It’s make up. And I can tolerate a tiny bit of fall out if it’s some sort of sensational Pat McGrath shade. I have neither glitter nor fallout averse
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Right!! It’s par for the course. Sure, I don’t like it in my eyes but if I end up with glitter particles on my face, who cares. It’s like a day at the beach. Sand is going everywhere and it is not easy to get rid of but damn it’s worth it for a beach day making sweet memories.
Wow, VERY pretty on you!!! Did you ever find a cream (or powder) shimmery shadow that did not leave at least a little glitter behind?? I never did. They all do that in my limited experience. But you have a lot more experience, so I thought I should ask. The most important thing to me is that the glitter particles are tiny (no chunks, please!!) If so, I am totally happy. I adore one-and-done looks. I am a nobody in the artist and patience categories; therefore, one & done is most welcome. 😉💖
I am below nobody in Artist and patience categories. And yes. That glitter vase seems to be in them all to some degree. Agreed. The tinier the better for sure.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I disagree. You are waaaaaaaaay up there, my gorgeous friend!!!! You may not be a professional makeup artist, but you have taught me a lot!!!!! And patience, who cares?? Sometimes it’s better not to have it!! 🥰💖
