Wow so pleased to hear you say Sauvage is the best selling fragrance in the world for a reason. I recently bought a NEW bottle of Versace Eros Energy which many seem to hate, but I love it. However I feel like I made a big mistake going from Dior to Versace, so a few weeks later made a purchase on Dior Sauvage.
Got a bottle, just not my style. It is a departure from the Sauvage DNA but not as far removed as say Eros Energy from the Eros line. EDP is probably my favorite still
I read a multitude of reviews, most of which were not in favor of this latest Sauvage version. In spite of that I went ahead and purchased a 2.0oz bottle from Macy's online - I got 15% off to help ease the pain should should this be an unwise purchase. As a 'blind buy' I took a chance. Upon arrival I applied a quick trial application and I really like it! Very unique and no direct relation to the Sauvage DNA - it reminds me of a muted version of Eau Sauvage Extreme (which I have and love). This is my 10th Dior fragrance and I like them all but for different reasons. With all the different iterations of Sauvage (Elixir being my favorite) this Eau Forte is a welcome variation. Your review of Eau Forte is most welcome and done in a classy and tasteful manner as all of your reviews are.
It was a strong no for me after first try than in 15 mins it's gets really good and now it's even my favorite longevity is beast mode and projection i couldn't define yet but it's moderate at least
I am very disappointed regarding water based fragrances. They smell nice (quality) when new, but after a year or more . . . No ! For me, no water based fragrances again. 😉 As for the price of Eau Forte. It is simply too expensive for the quality you get.
I think water based has a place for people who have sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis and moving forward I see a lot of these corporations being dissolved in the future due to the ingrediencies being harmful and connected to the same food companies, think BlackRock and vanguard
