@@Thetache even if ones desperate , the super noodle branded pots are superior anyway, just the beef ones though, less stiff and starchy feeling and the taste is way less cheap
Last year's Christmas Pot noodles got reduced to 20p in my local Asda in January, I bought 15 of those bad boys, they were really handy when work break times were tight.
great bargain for you. There was a local shop years ago closing and they where selling there Pizza's for 10p I made two trips bought 40 of them and stored them in our freezer which at that time was a large top loading freezer.

the last time I had a pot noodle was at college in 89/90. and it wasn't the only pot I had at lunchtime. I always had the chicken and mushroom and over filled it so I could drink the rest
Only the 18 mentions of stuffing today…we’re still tipsy mind! Best drinking game of the festive season! Thank you and in all seriousness, we really love your videos. Fingers crossed for more stuffing tomorrow! 😂
Get three, water the first one down and have soup, less water for the main meal one, then for pudding don't put any water in the last one at all, pour brandy in it and set it on fire, job done for Christmas dinner.
I use to have Pop noodles mainly in the winter or when we were working away from home on lone for a few months they made an easy way of having lunch when in the middle of nowhere flowing a route Of telephone poles I also sometimes would have a cup of Soup but my blood pressure started to get to high so I don't have them now keep away from salty food
Pot Noodle is not the same since they stopped putting in the soya pieces 😞. Saying that the flavour has changed for the worse over the years, less salt etc
Don't mind a Poit Noodle every now and then, if I see them on offer at my local shop I always buy a couple packs and stick them in the cupboard, perfect for a 2am snack!
Thank you Gaz for the Ho Ho Ho pot noddles review 😂👍♥️ I'll be giving it a miss, and you've just reminded me to get some Rennies in 😂 Have a lovely day Gaz and family ❤
I do mine different to you mainly to help prevent spillage when eating! I use a knife to cut across the noodles in two directions then poor the boiling water to around one and a half inches from the top. stir it up with a spoon and you have a noodle soup like mix, that's what I like!
Chicken and mushroom fir me. I was about 16 when they first came out and I used to have them at lunchtime as they were quick. I’ve now been spoiled with ramen and I make a huge pot of the stock using bones, meat and other goodies. Freeze portion size bags and I’ve always got Japanese noodles that take couple of mins to cook. Microwave the stock and voila, a ramen in the same time as a pot noodlek
Chicken & Mushroom Hot Poodle will always be the OG, but the King version always seemed a bit thin on taste compared to the regular size. I tried the King version recently and lobbed in a sachet of ITSU 'miso easy' miso sauce, a bit of extra Soy sauce and a dash of Worcester. Much improved. Almost edible.
@@DiamondCake2, nail on head. I conducted an experiment. The miso sauce sachets I found in my kitchen are BBE 22/06/2022, so I couldn't have made it much worse than it came from the factory.
i put a chicken stock cube in the chicken and mushroom and a beef stock cube in the beef and tomato and fill them to the top.the cubes enhance the taste and thicken the contents.
I haven't had a pot noodle for years I buy the Mug Shots which I suppose are similar but you have to provide your own mug of course, hence the name, last year I bought some Christmas Dinner Mug Shots in B&M for 40p each(probably double that this year),I like the other flavours especially Sweet and Sour as they are handy to take to work for a quick snack, lets just say they were differentI'm like you i love cheap and cheerful stuffing,we used to go to a carvery on a Sunday and once they served you your meat you could go back for as many trimmings as you liked and I always took more stuffing balls and roasters, another good review Gareth
I bought ghem last year , not the best though . The pot Fusions are my favourite, Thai Green curry and Malaysian curry , great flavours. Never put a pot noodle up to the fill line , always go a bit below or its soup .
Hi Gareth. I too have always found it a bit of an artform making a P.N, especially when half-cut, and I'm a ruddy chef 😂. Three Golden Rules: A) Never split the seal (you'll need to pop it over the top twice) B) Never over fill. Underfill if anything, however tempting it may be to add more because it 'doesn't look quite enough'. Tricky if it's a King Size. C) Don't get stuck in too early; go for a cig and be patient. A Bombay Bad Boy hits the spot, esp if cut with a Pepperami Fire-Stick; Chick & mush with your own stach of soy sauce added as well as the sachet - same with the Chow Mein one. The Sweet & Sour one and the recent Cajun Chicken one I find repellant, really 'orrible. Divided on the curry sauce one. The Doner Kebab one is a banger. Great post, pal 👍.
HOW MUCH!!!!?!?! I relented the other week and paid 70p for a pot noodle when they were on offer, but that's the most I've ever paid. I've never liked the "blander" flavours and my faves are peri-peri chicken, Bombay bad boy and the curry (though they keep changing the recipe on that).
That one needed a Cranberry sachet or similar like you said. 1.20 is a rip off too. Guaranteed you will get those in Herons after Christmas well under a pound. Keep up the good videos mate I find them quite informative!
Bombay bad boy always for me, makes a great snack on a camping trip, lightweight and has a few calories too, as for the Gravy and stuffing pot noodle, they just making them up now 😆
I always add crisps in my pot noodles they go soft and are similar to thin sliced potatoes and add more flavour to the pot noodles, i would add chicken crisps to the gravy and stuffing one, my favourite is prawn crisps in a chow mein one, love your channel tysm for being honest and testing different foods and comparisons xx
You should do a stuffing review you know, ready for Christmas! Aldi, Tesco, Lidl etc all do their own brand of sage & onion stuffing, you could compare them alongside paxo, you could make half a bag up of each (just get the texture right), freeze leftovers for the big day or for buffets! I love a pot noodle, as a disabled individual when I’m in pain, they’re part of my emergency quick dinner cupboard along with mugshots, noodles, cup a soups etc. Fill a hole & mean I’m not going to bed hungry! Worse things to eat out there right? lol. However, I can’t stand an overwhelming flavour or sage, makes me gip 🤢 lol!! So I think I’ll give this one a miss!! Xx
Hi Gaz , we both tried this one Last year and you were right as all you could taste was just stuffing tbh with you mate but I'll get to the end of your vlog and see if it's any different Xx
i would love to invite everyone i know to a Christmas Day dinner and just give them all one of these......thatll stop the buggers coming round for the next 10 years...job done !
I got a Christmas pot noodle for 50p last year, there were 100s leftover, still haven't had chance to eat it 😂 I'd be tempted to make my own, with lidl stuffing, noodles and chicken, and add cranberry sauce, not sure how it'd turn out but might be worth doing a DIY version! I have to admit, pot noodles are the one good I can't finish a whole portion of, a bit much 😅
Another great video mate. Just to clarify, the fill line for the pot noodle is the first ridge in the pot, not the line shown on the drawing, that just indicates where that first ridge lies in the pot. You actually slightly underfilled the water but bet it was tasty nontheless!
Hi just another great video very entertaining, you remind me of an uncle of mine from many years ago he was a lovely person, I will try one just for the hell of it, the best pop noodle you can get is chicken and mushroom two slices of bread and butter make a sandwich brilliant anybody else do this ?❤
I'm neurotic when it comes to making Pot Noodles, gotta be able to stand a fork in it! Thanks for the review, I don't think I'll run the gauntlet with this one. The beef and tomato one hits the spot so well that it's not worth the risk
Isn’t the “fill line” to show you where in the pot you fill it up to hence why it’s on a picture of a pot rather just a line and that line isn’t actually where you fill it to? I have always filled them to the line/lip thing inside the pot.
Must admit, I'm a sucker for PNs. But you do need to add to them. Especially the chick & mush..... Ditch the watery soy sauce and use your own. Add a decent pinch of salt, a good shake of black pepper & a grain of rice sized squirt of garlic purée. Sorted 👍
I got loads of last year's Xmas Dinner one for 20p a pot in Asda, when the standard price was 60p. I barely finished one, but our lad ate the rest over a couple of weeks. The Standard pot is now £1.20, and the King is £1.40, but Asda has a 2-for-£2 offer on Kings at the moment, so a quid each. They didn't have this new one on sale yesterday, but I'll keep an eye open. I did notice that Morrisons had 2 new ones on sale, "King Pot Pasta Bolognese" and "King Pot Pasta Creamy Carbonara" but at £1.39.
Love a pot noodle especially the noodle fusions really nice they are😅give those a go thai green curry, katsui curry, and chilli chicken which is quitr spicy😊
Hiya. Gareth. Pop noodle. Quick snack. When I am busy. I leave them to soak up the water. As well. The beef I only ever eat. Happy Tuesday. Ho Ho Ho. LOL
If you want a cheap lovely Christmas dinner get a Pork Joint and a jar of Strawberry Jam which is much nicer than cranberry sauce. Use a chicken stock cube with Brussel sprouts, stuffing and real Chips !!! I buy Chinese Noodles in packs of 40 for about £16. They are much nicer than Pot Noodles. You can make nice stuffing using sausagemeat with sage and onion herbs.
Thank you sir! My late grannie was in her 80's when she passed, and like so many Brts, being born into very real poverty, and living thru WW11, she had a resolve that could bend steel if she had to - and did so in front of me on occasion. Will replay the fine film and ensues the P.N mentioned are in the next food parcel! That was a lovely, thoughtful, comment Gareth and I thank you bestist. VBW x
Do you think that food producers are spraying the packaging to produce the smells when opened? Was easy to do 30 years back, and only used (then) for litho-printing the thin latex solution for scratch - cards. Times and tech have vastly improved, and I'm certain any smell can be replicated in a safe, controlled, manner on press to comply with current food regs. Wot say you, is there merit in having a scientist (or some other clever 'wotsit') looking into this via a viewer dedicated fund,. My impoverished bani card is ready and waiting! VBW x
I’m the same, the simple Paxo stuffing and also the simple Birds strawberry trifle in a box made on Christmas morning (you can keep yer posh trifles😂) Take care, Gill x
I take the lid completely off add hot water and ping it in the microwave on 30% for 1:30 . Leave for a couple of minutes after finishing in the microwave and it thickens up a treat.. That said, I only like the sweet and sour and chicken and mushroom. The Bombay is passable, but lacking something..
Pot Noodles are quite hit-and-miss in terms of flavours. I also like the Bombay Badboy and they did a limited edition of Szechuan Chicken which was quite nice. Beef and Tomato and Chicken and Mushroom stables aren't too bad either.
Aternoon Gareth! Hope you and the family are in fine order, & looking forward to the forthcoming festivities (wot ever thems is) I have never eaten a pot-noodle - ever, but will add this to my next ASDA order. I love the adjective 'claggy', not heard this word used, since my teenage years and a conversation with my dear, late, nan (RIP Gran!) We were both burnin London, and pretty-much remained there. The word was used to describe people/objects as being 'diirty,' unsanitary etc. Will investigate this unknown 'nose bag' in the next month or so.VBW x
2:53 I have always used that first line above the label as the fill line as that in my view is where the illustration is showing and not to where you are pointing to
