Just got the 46 degree to replace my PW that came in my starter set. I also own the 52/58 degree, and I can tell you definitively that they are FANTASTIC wedges! The build quality is gorgeous, and the textured knurling of the face produces a ton of spin around the green. You cannot go wrong with these wedges:)

I just found a bunch of these at the local Golf Galaxy . All demo clubs that were barely,if ever hit and half price. Picked up the 50 degree gap and loved it so much i went back and snagged the 46 degree pitching wedge. Awesome clubs.😎☝️

Very forgiving wedge, this CBX ZipCore. Currently using it in a 50* gap wedge, and even though it doesn't feel or sound as nice as hitting a bladed wedge, I will continue using it for now just for the sheer amount of forgiveness it offers, especially when playing in wet, soft, and mucky conditions. May go back to using my bladed gap wedge when the turf is drier and firmer in the heat of summer.

This is one of the best reviews on these wedges. I also liked that you mentioned chipping with these clubs. I would like to see a review about the CBX wedges with graphite shafts focusing on feel. I'm interested in the 50, 54, 58 degree wedges. My one concern about the graphite shafts is that the stock shafts are too light. Too light means less feel.

Thanks for the feedback. Valid questions on the shaft. Obviously player dependant. The Graphite have been designed with wedge play in mind and are obviously lighter, and for the slower swing player maybe a better option. Std steel on this model is a very playable option across a wide variety of speed and players..Again dependant on player. I am gaming these wedge as stock still since making the video...FYI my driver shaft is X Fkex and irons are 6.0 Project X LS, and I love the feel of this shaft. My majority of shots are feel and control oriented there the less strong profile suits. This doesn't answer your question but just my perspective having gamed thus wedge for a while now. Ross

Great video ! This is why I buy from Drummond. Only one question, would there be much backspin difference between these and the CBX2s ?

Thank you. Apologies for the late reply. I never gamed the CBX2, so hard to definitively say from usage. The material would suggest so. CBX2 still very forgiving club. I did play these wedges until recently and they perform great. The addition of Zipcore is a big on in this new family.

Really good reviews, thanks a lot! Would you recomend the steel or graphite shaft for a 23 hdcp player using cobra aerojet graphite shaft irons? (Shaft is KBS PGI 70 gr regular+) Or maybe a mix of shafts? ( gapwedge with graphite and SW+LW with steel shafts?) Thanks

This question re shaft depends on a number of factors, and handicap is the least important. Indeed, the head is an excellent option for a golfer developing their short game and is a head that will " travel " as performance improves. If the shaft in the Aerojet is suited to you and you are happy with that then the Graphite Shaft in the CBX should match in well. It's not a soft playing shaft if that was the concern. Graphite Shafts in the set and then moving into steel for the SW and LW isn't that common in a fitting sense if we were looking at a whole set from scratch. ( it has been done ) Again a number of variables to consider which are all harder to determine outside a club fitting/testing environment.

thanks a lot for your answer @@drummondgolfaustralia : the concern was if it was a soft graphite playing shaft or not, you were right. My Aerojet clubs are regular+ (pitch wedge is 41,5º) and thats why , i thought that maybe the graphite one could be an option to buy for the 48 GapWedge.... im even thinking of combining CBX for the GW... and RTX model for two SW (in 54º and 58º)..... (well still getting crazy , trying to decide about the degrees....but the shaft was the question hahahaha... thanks a lot! )

So is the 56 not the best option of you don't want to use it as a SW say you want it for fuller grass shots 85 yds

56 should give you a great option for all round short game performance on full shots and green side control shots including bunker and chipping. Club Gapping are important points to consider in the bottom end of the set.
