Clodsire on the switch is deadly. In the 1's, many if its losses are rated just under 500, which means an energy lead can flip a lot of matches if played well.
Clod just needs a bait move. Or trailblaze (yes it can learn that in s/v) or they can give it fast move pressure. If they introduce chilling water and make it a cheap move they could give it to clod. The best moveset imo would probably be poison jab, trailblaze, and maybe earthquake. Or they give it counter because it can learn that for some reason
They removed surf because some PvP youtubers and others in the community were complaining it would have been to strong. Doubt they would give it a bait move now.
I don’t want to use charged tms to change the movesets on quagsire snd clodsire. So i built 9 quagsires and 4 clodsires each with a different movesets. Could be an overkill and I literally have 0 dust right now.
I just wanna say, I’ve been watching so much of your videos that I’ve been learning a lot. Especially all about throwing on alignment, never thought about that until watching your vids. I’ve still got a long way to go but I’m pushing towards 2400 at the moment!
@@luckyomen781 Now that's just straight up wrong. Quagsire is fantastic, but far less bulky. Clodsire has costly nuke charge moves, but has the bulk to make them work. The two just have different play styles. Though it is a shame they took surf away, Niantic is too scared to shake up the meta even a bit.

isnt the mudshot, stone edge, earthquake set up just better? when running the sims you beat azu cres and mandibuz with the poison set up which are nice wins but the losses are many
@Danny_Deleto agree. Use Water Gun as a charge move it's more useful to have some of the other move rather than Aqua Tail. But if you use Mud Shot its a 100% yes of having Aqua Tail and some other move.

poison sting is mudshot clone and both do miniscule damage so it rarely matters which one you run. I guess poison sting does more against fliers (most of which are fragile). And you already dominate Carbink so p.sting helps against every meta fairy too. Mudshot ofc better against steels but you beat registeel and struggle against a.slash no matter the fast move
Still can’t figure out what the best moveset is on this thing. PVPoke shows sting/sludge bomb/eq but mushot/stone edge/eq seems like it sims a lot better.
@@alsonaarif7367it also learns mudshot* which is p.sting clone. Now it had 2 identical moves when it could had had option between high energy gain or "balanced" move with some damage while still getting decent energy. Now we don't have the option so it was a nerf. P.sting isn't always better than p.jab.
