You're so educated when it comes to fragrances, know all the notes in-depth and know how to wear it and when to wear it and you always give well rounded educated reviews
The pros: relatively cheap, smells amazing, great anytime fragrance. The cons: only lasts 2-3 hours on my skin, but I just reapply. Working on my 2nd bottle. Imo better than the original.
Our local store had -50% on everything, my wife bought me this one as a surprise. Love the smell overall from opening to drydown. The letdown is longevity and that it remains veery close to skin very quickly. I get it, it's a summer one, but could projects and lasts longer. It of course might be skin chemistry, people around got wifs of me several hours later, so might just burnt my nose. I think this is definitely blue category, but aimed only for hotter weather so not a year round versatile. Dumb reach, like it, clean scent not offending🙂 thanks for the review, great job as always👍
Thank you Steven! Great review ! I'm fan of Coach Blue - for me it's a great new scent! Starts super fresh whit Mojito type of uplifting green aroma - just wonderful. I'm sure, that people who are looking for heavy ambers, ouds or jamy roses knows Coach Blue is not for them. I highly recommend this scent for all lovers of modern type of fresh and clean transparent masculine scent. On me, it gives me idea on fresh mint too and I love how refined it smells in that green-lime direction. People who love Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio style, but more ozonic, modern and Mojito type - go and test it! You'll be surprised how good the opening is - the lime note is amazing. At first minutes I was shocked, due to the ultra bright and piercing start, like something from Atelier Cologne... I know how it sounds, but please check it and see for your self how it goes. For me, Coach Blue is a great everyday scent with lovely young and positive bright profile. Thank you Steven for giving attention to this nice and pleasant scent - I fully agree with your review. Keep you safe and wish you all the best.
I paid full retail and I don’t regret it. I wanted it immediately upon release. Plus, I like the scent and love wearing it to bed. It’s also a good, safe work scent.
matt chapman I haven’t smelled Sauvage in months. I don’t really care for it, but, off hand, Coach Blue doesn’t bring up any Sauvage memories for me. While I like Coach Blue, I usually wear it to bed because it’s not a good performer. It won’t make it through a work day for sure.
I really love coach for m'en, to me with prada carbon, is thé Best blues fragrance over Dylan blue and dior sauvage, im curious about this one, t'y Steven
I agree. Even if the sales associate makes you take a whiff of a bunch of coffee beans to clear your nose and better distinguish scents, they still smell very similar to each other. Lol.
That’s exactly why you go niche instead of designer. I can confidently say that as soon as I started buying niche, I didn’t give many fucks about designer anymore.
I have to disagree with your word on Coach (original) , I don't think it has ANY resemblance to Sauvage, Coach Platinum was way way closer to being a Sauvage clone
It smells clean, fresh, and aquatic....very much like Nautica Blue. How is the performance? I love the smell of Nautica Blue, but you have to spray on half the bottle. I'm thinking this might be IT for daytime and summer. I already have plenty of lavender bergamot date night colognes.
I had my nieces with me,3 of them, thus was the fragrance that stood out. Just FYI as a compliment getter. If your a fragrance head, m sure your a IL snobby, but this is on POINT
I ordered one of these since I have the original and platinum. I prefer the original to the platinum and hope I at least like this. I was a die hard Vera Wang for Men fan prior to this but don't wear it that often these days.
I ran through that OG Coach very quickly. Didn’t notice the Sauvage comparison until you mentioned it. I’m curious about this one, I might check it out.
The blue is not working for me. Doesn't smell right off of my skin. Just smells cheap to me. Like a dollar store scent. The original and platinum are both fragrances I own and enjoy.
Great vidio. I have just worn it today and I must say the opening is great and the first punch is strong. It is not so long lasting, but for a summer fragrance it is ok. It is a classical blue fragrance. I wouldn't distinguish it from any other blue fragrance, except Savage, Dylan blue and Blu de Channel.Would I wear it? Mmmm, no. Would I buy it for my 16 years old nephew? Mmmm, yes.
I have coach bag and belt.. 1 day I try coach edt for men. The smell is great, unfortunately I really felt disappointed with the projection and the longetivity and its only last long 2 hours only and then the smell just disappeared. Is it only me or anyone feel the same ? I think i should go to the edp platinum version
Can anyone recommend a fragrance for a construction worker? Im not joking, my man's birthday is this sat. He likes to smell good and usually sprays some cologne before work and then when he gets out of the shower when he gets home. He uses "Bourbon" from bath and body works but his almost out and I wanted to get him something nicer. Im thinking coach blue might be an option except for the lime thing. He dislikes fruity smells. Side bar though: I love these fragrance videos!! It makes me want to try literally every fragrance, even the bad ones lol. Edit: also i gave him a sample of zoology squid last year he really liked but I didn't like it on him as it just smelled like salt.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Happy birthday to him! I would recommend Bleu de Chanel Parfum, Dolce & Gabbana K Eau de Parfum, or Mont Blanc Explorer.
The kind words were well deserved, I really enjoy your channel! I've been eyeing bleu de chanel and I think I'll be getting that one, I just hope he likes it :)
Tried this one today. Opening was really nice however 10 minutes later changed to nothing exciting and lasted only a couple hours before it all but disappeared. Great review as always!
Bought this reluctantly to have a fresh summer go to. Like the smell but longevity just isn't here. Blue and fresh aren't really my thing and I think most smell like axe deodorant. If I could do it over I would buy an edp version of something else.
I wonder sometimes why mass appealing has this negative connotation don’t you want people to say you smell good it’s different and there’s almost this elitist view that if you wear strange smelling scents say like T-Rex you’re more sophisticated meanwhile people around you are like....gross! This whole notion of not wanting to be noticed or compliments seems strange but hey I’m a neophyte what do I know lol
Yeah, kinda weird! I just buy what I like, I picked this up today from fragrancex for $42 after watching Stevens review. I follow you on Instagram Scott! Great page!!
@Redolessence I agree. Lets see something different! For instance I recently purchased Sea Salt & Fig by Kindred Spirit for a few bucks and its just awesome on my skin. But I feel like a subtle tobacco scent from another fragrance would send this over the top. Question is: which tobacco scent will amplify it instead of eclipsing it.
@@jacketman9269 right?! I feel like all these fragrance guys do is make lists: cheapie, most complimented, most popular, etc. Lets see some depth! Also I can only think of one tobacco i love and thats Herod. But it doesn't really need any help its pretty awesome by itself. Would be interesting to mix the two...@Redolessence
They're very similar. The Coach comes off a little more powdery? Maybe a little thicker? Sauvage has that initial zing, with a little bit more of a buzz through the dry down. I prefer Sauvage (I have the EDT).
@@rathbass1 unless were talking about the ORIGINAL original coach for men and not the 2018 release, then i have to disagree. I own both and have tested amd worn both quite a bit and there are some remnants of similarity in a couple notes but that similarity of fast fleeting and is barely there imo. Sauvage has an elegance and artistic twinge to it that elecates it beyond the reputation and glitz that marketing has given it. Its a deep aquatic that is one of the definitive aquatic/blue fragrances that set the bar for what a blue fragrance can be. Its like an electric velvet that sing with the notes of early 90s mariah carey to your nose. Coach for men is a powdery sweet pleasant thick fruity fragrance that has a certain zing in the beginning but no substance...and unfortunately no performance (for me at least) to justify the comparison to me....i dont mean this to feel ranty but its like comparing a creed fragrance to an azzaro fragrance in terms of smell quality.
