Funny enough I played against DA yesterday and the Lion only killed one unit in the game which was a unit of scouts that couldn't run fast enough lol

@C1umsyJester best thing to do is to go with rule of cool, if u like the lore and look of theirs keep painting because eventually there will be rule changes or points drops etc everything changes so just go with collecting aspect rather than playing one.

@@mati12554 this is true, I originally collected them after reading the books. My fave factions are emperors children, dark angels, sisters of battle. Since emperors children aren’t a thing really and dark angels just got the lion it seemed obvious to me who I should pick

Now that you mention it, I am a Tau player and I am EXTREMELY nervous about what they’ll do to Crisis suits. I know we Tau aren’t exactly wearing power armor, but if GW made maces D2 what will they do to my Crisis suits’s gear?!

@@DJROCKSTAZ Our Crisis Suit gear already is quite crappy apart from Cyclics and Fusion Blasters (if you take Farsight). My fear is actually that they might go down hard on Cyclics in terms of how many you can equip, since they seem to be going in a "you can use what's in the box" direction with 10th. And there are no Cyclics in a Crisis Suit box, there's one (!!!) in the Commander box. Now, if they would update certain boxes with the right amount of gear that the models can actually use (also looking at you, Drukhari Scourges), that would be a fine thing. I'd also be fine with mass Cyclics going away if they buffed Plasma/Fusion a bit. And for Aunvar's sake, remove that dumb -1 to hit on split firing.

@@ADVBCAT Yes, it IS a little premature. Perhaps I should have waited before panicking..

An example is typhus leading 20 poxwalkers. Typhus is T6 and poxwalkers are T4, when your attacking this unit your using the T4 of the poxies. Same goes with precision because you first hit, then wound, then allocate attacks in that order. And precision alows you to allocate attacks to characters instead of normal combat. I've heard people say that when you allocate all those attacks on the characters and you kill them the remaining attacks don't spill over to the bodyguard unit, this is not accurate. You can allocate them one at a time. I like to roll them in multiples of how ever much it will take for me to kill that character.

Note to self, don’t engage Cypher in melee.

I pretty sure combi bolters only hit on 4+ too so with the plus 1 would have been 3’s and yeah they are 3 wounds would would have to be chosen undivided because of Fabius Bile

Deathwing terminator unit lost the option, but you can still take standard terminators and assault terminators and they gain the deathwing keyword

@@tabletoptactics Meh, they artwork teased mounted troops with Lord Invocatus in the World Eaters codex.....still nothing.

It’s an interesting one and we go over it in the Faction Focus On Demand - Ravenwing certainly have sharp talons but some of the choices around Deathwing seem a tad odd - when they fight something on their terms though as you’ll see later in the report they can still pack a mighty punch! - Bard

@@tabletoptactics For one shining moment my 40k army and my 30k DA armies perfectly overlapped, same models could be used in many ways for different play styles and game missions now the all the outriders/bikers are in legends, attack bikes gone, relic contemptors and Leviathans, Spartans all binned, it just doesn’t make sense from a lore perspective. 9th was the last gasp of the old setting, and now on top of that the army is objectively worse on the table top with the models that we have left Make it make sense 😂

@@MC-el2usit’s following the pattern for AOS with simplicity / streamlining also will always be weak armies until flipped. Look at custodies start of 10th great now worst faction more less. Excited to see how hard space elves get hit and fall this month 😁

They put codexs into print months before their release. I would not be surprised if it got a lot of changes in updates further down the line.

Me and some mates have been trying to put together 9th edition rules for the 10th edition models. Seems like a better way to play rn

@@Fluxram I've lost 40-50% of my army due to firstborn culls and cuts to the Deathwing - its not knee jerk. I don't care the slightest bit about points and competitive balance. My army only works in friendly settings anyhow due to 10th.

@@matthewblomquist6090 Its lost models for me, not points balance. There is no change coming for me. 60% of my Ravening is legends in this edition. My Deathwing has a lot of painted units that are no longer legal or don't have rules anymore. My collection only works if my opponent accepts Legends - and in that environment I really can also then start doing homebrew and whatever else to increase my enjoyment thus I don't need to follow 10th that has been pretty bland in my opinion.

Unfortunately the cost of producing our Battle Reports is high, and for AoS the interest/returns weren’t really enough to justify it, especially after the last GHB. However we've moved it to be part of a group of Seasonal shows, allowing us to do other formats or systems (currently Old World), as well as potentially returning to things when interest picks up again (such as a new edition for AoS)

You can play combat patrol vs combat patrol, they have rules for it. DW box does not so you'd have to play regular 40k so idk about balance

Yep, but the chaos terminator lord doesn’t have it as an option :) which is what beard is talking about as it’s the terminator lord in the artwork
