ColorCL Siesta Ultra Moist Ciudad de Mexico & Dancer Tilting Contacts - I was so excited to review these lenses since they seemed very interesting. I was surprised at both of the colors. If you have dark eyes, you may like these lenses since they will show up. If you have light eyes, they will show up and be very opaque.
The Ciudad de Mexico lenses was described as ‘are a tribute to Mexico City, where so many of its avid supporters are from. The inspiration for the lens was the Angel of Independence monument which represents the wonderful people who reside there and their presevering spirit. The varied brown hues mimic the appearance of the quarried stones found on the column and the bright yellow shimmer streaked throughout represents the goddess Nike that stands on top as a beacon of freedom and victory.’
‘There is a slight hint of green that may show through, depending on the eye color of the wearer. The lenses were designed with brown eyes in mind, as brown is the predominant eye color of the Mexican people. The slight green that shows through with brown eyes was to represent the green color in the Mexican Flag which also symbolizes hope (previously independence). These lenses didn’t look too good on me since they were very opaque and bold. They didn’t highlight my own eyes in the color so they weren’t my favorite.
The ColorCL Siesta Ultra Moist Dancer Tilting lenses are inspired by ‘artwork created by Edgar Degas of the same name.’ I love the shade of green that they are. They look like a pretty green mixed with yellow & pinches of orange. They are also bold and opaque. They will show up on light & dark eyes.
Both of these lenses are very opaque, bold and bright especially in natural lighting. They almost look unnatural. If you like lenses like these, then you will love both of these lenses. Definitely check out ColorCL for more collections and colors! What do YOU think about these lenses?👇🏽
