AMEN GIRL. CP needs to step it up and get away from those boring warm tones. Back in the day they were called colourpop for a reason and I feel like they have left that behind. I'm pretty close to buying the palette, but not anything else. I would love to see a mustard/khaki lipstick from them!
Honestly they bring out so many new products CONSTANTLY, if they slowed down with the releases one after the other after the other, I think they would have more creative colors and products that push the envelope. They’re striving for quantity and not quality ☹️

I'm saving up up for the Necromancy Cosmetica's (they are closed right now because of flooding, *sob*) Solis Mortem which the most unique yellow lipstick I've seen. Also, recently they discontinued a lot of shades of different things, so i guess thats why they "came up" with similar shades. But dont worry about being negative, darling! Its just your opinion, we knoe its genuine, so its fine. We're here for it :)
I will not buy it just because of the animal print, never like that kind of design, like the name and the packaging and the colours dont go together at all

don't apologize for being negative! i'd rather have your honest review and true feelings instead of telling people that they need every product. with colourpop especially we all know the quality is generally good and consistent, but they put out the same shades over and over again and it's so tiring :/ they really need to slow down their launches too.
Could not agree more! Colourpop seriously needs to step up it's game if it's going to continue to call itself COLOURpop. I think that the hihligter pallet could have done with a duochrome dark magenta pink that would work on deep skin tones and a blush topper for light skin tones. They really missed the mark not pairing the lipstick colours to the pallet. Also there really doesn't need to be so many 2 or 3 really unique ones would have worked great with this. I'm becoming less and less interested in colourpop with every recycled release! Xxx
I absolutely love when people doing swatches write the shade's name in the shades color, it's just a little silly thing that makes my day 😅 gorgeous look btw

This is a comment they left on IG recently: “ yes you heard right! 😊 If your order is being shipped to the UK, you will now pay taxes at checkout and no additional fees will be required when you receive your package! 🙌🏻🇬🇧” Also your order will not be held at the post office anymore. It doesn’t apply to all of EU but it sounds like they’re working on it
I'm waiting for the colourpop collab.... I would get the one you make in a heartbeat!! I love the fact that you just dove right into the palette! I would have dabbled here and there (from other palettes) before creating a full eye look from the one palette. In any case, as always, sending love!!

Could you do videos that are Halloween themed makeup, but not costume? If that makes sense?? Like makeup looks that are inspired by Halloween related stuff, but still somewhat wearable in public. 💕
Can you compare the colors in the highlight palette to existing super shock highlighters? They discontinued Scrumptious which is my fave aside from Flexitarian.
One of the things I really appreciate about your palette videos is how you try and use as many of the colors as possible, even if it's not necessarily a look that I would do every day, because you're showing us how they perform! I love this on you :)

Last year as part of the Sonya Esman collaboration, Colourpop released a supershock cheek duo called Here Comes The Sun which was also a supershock formula in a palette. I love the product and formula and in the year + I've owned it it hasn't dried out or anything. I imagine this new highlighter palette is a continuation of that. The Sonya Esman duo was LE but I hope that they bring out similar blush duos or blush/bronzer/contour combos in the future because I am a fan of the formula but am over highlighters.
@@kaivickers166 yeah that would be awesome! I like it when brands come out with multiple small face palettes with different shades because unless you're an MUA those big palettes inevitably have at least a couple shades you never end up using.
Wow it really is true that lashes pull together a look!! I was not 100% sure how the look would end up, and then you put the falsies on and it was like WHOA! :)
How in the world does she always manage to look absolutely fabulous! Seriously, I could never pull off an eye look like that, and she looks like a freaking goddess in it.
I don't understand why colourpop can't come up with some nice cool tone lipsticks. All their lipsticks are orange. I hat orangey lipsiticks. They never do cool nudes or sandy taupe nudes or nice muted mauvey greige tones for fall that aren't too pink or orange. I just don't get it. I like the palette which I ordered and am looking forward to but it is always a let down to look at their lipsticks.

The colors here remind me of those berry and pineapple too faced palettes that just came out, only mixed together, especially ebb. It looks like one of the ones in that pineapple palette.
I love look you did with this. When I saw this palette, I was excited that they did something a little different. I feel the same way you do about this collection (and with most brand's collections recently). Everything feels very similar to everything else!
Girl finally someone said it!! I couldn't agree more. I remember around 2015 Colourpop had those blue and light blue liquid lipsticks and I was like FINALLY a brand that actually does colour. I haven't ordered from them for some time now because they keep doing similar colours again and again. I read the comments from people asking them to do a pastel collection or a dark/Goth one and nothing. They start to get really disappointing because you know that they have everything they need to make something really good and they just keep repeating them selves. Like for real not even a khaki lip? What kind of fall is that? 💔
When will colourpop finally collab with you 😩 and I totally agree with more variety! I was so underwhelmed with the supernova especially bc all those colors already exist... but the palette is cute and I think you convinced me to buy it LOL loves the eye look btw 😍

I was so curious about the highlight palette drying out. Flexitarian is life!! I’m obsessed with all of those red and orange lipies on your skin tone. Gorgeous.
I think a burnt orange pumpkin shade that isn’t bright in color saturation would be so beautiful for fall and paired nicely with this palette! Also, would like to eventually see a cool toned purple-grayish nude in the matte line of Lux lips as well.

I think the Supernovas seem a little lackluster because they're kind of a re-release. They phased out the old formula and came out with a new one that seems a lot smoother and less flaky? I'm hoping that this means that we'll see some Really Fun Colors in the new formula when they get out of Back To School and start releasing holiday shades? I am glad they came out with some fun lux lip colors, and I'm glad they're in the matte formula. Again, just adding to the range of different textures/types. But we neeeeed those fun brights and candy colors. I'm sooo with you there.

I feel you on this. I’m so glad that CP didn’t do the same colors repackaged with this palette. I admit Ihave lost a lot of interest in CP lately. I used to be so excited about them but the eyeshadow palettes seem to be variations on the same few themes with a pop of something. If they even get a pop. The only palette to interest me since the MLP palette was the pink V Day 6 pan palette, I pretty much have almost all the shades in the other palettes in the four palettes & singles I have. I also want the super nova shadows to be more interesting. A vampy red, various greens-mossy, olive, emerald, forest. And blue- I'd love to see a royal blue with baby blue or aqua sparkle. Interesting shades like that. I feel like whoever is in charge of product development is super basic in their color tastes. CP is so affordable and had such good formulas that I want to give them my money but time and again I leave they're website without buying anything. Instead I'm buying palettes from the UK. Blush Tribe and hopefully soon certifye. Can't wait to buy two of their palattes. I wish CP would get it together, but this palette does give me hope and I'm probably going to buy it. I love the lux creme formula so I'll also pick up some more lipstick. Anyways I appreciate you being honest bc it's needed. And CP is more likely to here it with your platform them me leaving comments on their IG.
I was only interested in the palette so I'm happy you liked it! I wish they would do more color in their collections in general. It's a lot of nudes and warm shades and browns
Never apologize for making an honest review. I was a bit iffy about this part of the new collection in particular, with the lipsticks being my only favorites and "do wants". I think what you've said is important critique that Colourpop, and other brands, should follow because, yes, there is way too many warm-toned palettes and we definitely need something more varied and I'd honestly would love to see a colorful cool-toned eyeshadow palette.
I'm probably not going to buy this collection because I think I can recreate your look with the Emily Noel Wants Palette. And I love that it was "all over the place." I don't think you were negative - just honest. Honest is good too! I'm tempted by that that JV lip though. Would it look good on skin with yellow/olive undertones though?

This palette is fucking amazing. I've used it a few times now and i'm blown away. Especially by that maroon color. It's so rich and deep. Easy to blend. and when i wiped it off my lids weren't stained. Which shocked me. I'm so used to warm deep pigmented shades staining. But seriously almost every color in here is a game changer. Most underrated palette of 2018. Not kidding. I think the colors are too out there for a lot of people but it's surprisingly wearable and all the shades go together effortlessly.
