I must sound like a broken record by now but thank you for the swatches! I agree I like the beauty blender side better as well. It looked nice on you & had a "soft" dewy look if that makes sense. Off-topic but I like my beauty blender lightly dampened. I run it under the water to get is decently wet (not fully saturated). Squeeze it out pretty well then spray it with setting spray. I then use it as normal. The setting spray seems to stop all the makeup absorption into the sponge AND it is easier to clean afterward. My favorite blender is ecotools. I love the flat sides and top! YES! I agree it is so hard to pick the right color online! Even using the "shade finder" tools don't always work. I have normal to dry skin with dry being my forehead and right between the eyes - weird I know! HA! My holy grail is Lancome Absolue Bx (which I NEVER hear anyone talk about! Most likely because of the price point.) and since I am a strawberry blonde I used to assume I would be the lighter end of the spectrum but have found I am actually a bit darker than I originally thought. I am fair to light with a neutral leaning pink undertone. I think I might even use the same shade as you - light 55n. I have the CP no filter foundation & I find that one a little too watery for me. I don't need/want a THICK foundation but I do appreciate one with some life to it. You did mention others said this ran watery so I am on the fence if I want to give this one a go.
Mo!!! My hubby said yes to the Hourglass, (and some Charlotte Tilbury with one Pat McGrath single shade for $12.50), order from Sephora!!!! Oh my goodness!! I have never made a $550+ dollar order for makeup, but he WANTED me to do it "for always supporting him!!!" Paul and I met when I was in the 8th grade and he was in the 9th grade at a TINY Christian school in Seymour, TN. We were also in youth group together, and I had a crush on him for YEARS!!! FIinally, after 6 years of being beat friends, during my Junior year of college we became a couple. We married, (I had just turned 20 and he was 21), and two years in he joined the Marine Corps; 26.5 years later here we are with our two beautiful red-headed daughters, living in a 44 foot toy-hauler rv with our youngest special needs daughter, (Sis will always be with us; she has Williams Syndrome and can't live alone, and Brontë is going to tranfer to the Univ of TN shortly, so she is living in TN), stationed in Cherry Point, NC, where we started our Marine Corps journey 24 years ago!! Paul has 5.5 years til 30, and we are hoping he can make it. Honestly, at 48, he is tired... Anyway, all that to say when I told him after all the makeup I have tried over the years, I think I have found a brand that works for my extremely fair complexion and wrinkle issues, (I am DESPERATE for a face lift, but hubby gets VERY upset if I mention that; he says I have earned every smile line and laugh line...I have SUCH deep forehead/nasolabial laugh lines, uggh...but he wants to grow old with the "real" me so no surgery forthcoming...sigh), he said he wanted me to purchase what I wanted. This is such a crazy coup, lol! Anyhoo, just wanted to share my good fortune with you. I am beside myself with glee, lol!! Ok, so now I am gonna watch this vid, lol!!! 😊💗💗💗

It's great to see more drugstore foundations taking 3 different undertones into consideration when formulating their line. I also have a neutral undertone and it's next to impossible to find it, everything is straight up warm/yellow or cool/pink. That shade was a good match on you. The other 2 looked very pale in comparison. :)
Agreed, helpfulnatural. More undertones, more shades-there are a ton of skin tones in real life, so more is absolutely better! Yep-the other 2 were more pale than I expected.
40N definitely would have been your perfect shade. I clicked in your video bc uour the same skintone as me so I wanted to see what shade you went with. I thought I would be 30N as well from the swatches I've seen but it definitely is lighter then I thought, so 40N will probably work. I wish they had a 35N bc I feel like there is a big shade jump between 30N & 40N.
Yeah, I would have liked to try that shade, Kate. I saw a post from CP yesterday comparing their Tinted Moisturizer shades to the new Foundation shades. I wear Light 5N in the Tinted version and they showed that matched up with 55N. Do you use the tinted moisturizer?
Thank you for this video! I am having such a hard time deciding what shade to get. I might just drive over to Ulta and swatch. With their stick foundation, I ended up buying 4 different shade to *finally* get the right one. At $10 each, it wasn’t so bad but at $16 I am hesitant .

Hey Mo! 👋 got the tinted moisturizer and concealer when you reviewed them and I love them! For me is so hard to get the right foundation shade 😩. This foundation looks really nice. I have Lancôme teínt idol & the tinted moisturizer so I want a middle one. If you like it, I’m going to give it a go! On another topic, you mentioned how hard it is to get the elusive 100dlls Sephora reward. Let me tell you, I thought that too until someone told me. This reward doesn’t come up as soon as the rewards go up. You wait like 5-10 min. keep refreshing and it shows up. Do it on the app not on the computer. You immediately check out and the mail with the code comes right after. I don’t get anything else in the cart, just the reward. It has worked for me like a charm. Once I even got it like 15 min after because I forgot. Hope it works for you. 🤗🌻
Hey Irma! I don’t have either of those Lancôme foundations, but I think it would be fair to consider this Colourpop foundation a ‘middle one’. I really think it’s nice. Ooooh-thank you for the tip on the Sephora gift card. The next time I’ve racked up enough points I’ll give it a try!
Gigi-I couldn’t say for certain since I’m more normal/dry. I can say that for me it isn’t overly dewy, and seems to hold up well. I hope that’s st least somewhat helpful.
