new compressor! Unboxing, first start SGS 50v 50 litre 3hp 14.6cfm v-twin compressor initial review 

It is always a wonderful day when you get new kit arriving for your workshop!
Back in the day I got a 2hp 25 litre small workshop compressor for nail guns and small spray jobs. I loved it, it was reliable and did the job al be it a bit noisy! I even used it when spraying my Sons car many years ago.
Sadly, after what must be around 15 years or so of good service, it died.
So I had to go looking for a new one I have a big project coming up - restoring our Subaru Impreza and for that I’ll be using air impact wrenches, air cut off saws and files and more, so I needed something more powerful and with more air storage. After a lot of research, looking at all the factors, I opted for an SGS 50 V, 14.6 cfm, 3hp direct drive v-twin compressor with a 50 litre receiver.
It is great! Has twin outlets, high air delivery and is easy to set up.
In this video I unbox it, set it up and run it for the first time.
I will return to do a full review at a later date when I’ve had the chance to put it through its paces more thoroughly, but so far, it is excellent… much quieter than I expected too!
I’m possibly going to install air lines round my garage too to make my life a little easier, so watch out for that video…
