Thanks girl! Hahah it’s definitely easy to get carried away but splurge on what means they most to you and leave the other areas for later if you can! Another big tip would be to take your flooring samples outside in the natural light to see what it looks like if you have lots of windows in your home. When ours got installed it looked SO much different than the samples we saw in the dark showroom!

Oh cool! We didn't have an option of the vaulted ceiling but I feel like I would have jumped on that haha. When we are in the home, I already have an upgrade video planned about what we splurged and where we chose to save money. Just need to be in the home to show it all haha. Should be up in a couple of weeks!

@@jennapierce yes it’s my first home too, I really like the builders. They normally build million dollar homes but this neighborhood is their first development under a million 😌 I’m definitely going with them again for my 2nd home

@@jo0mee Baumann & Crosno Construction. They are a southern and Midwest home building company! I highly recommend! They did a fantastic job! They really pay attention to detail and really are on their A game!

Thank you! We are loving the progress so far! 🤗 I think there were a lot of reasons we went with the new build but the main one being price. If we were to renovate a resale home to make it look the way we wanted it would have been SO much more expensive than just basically paying the build price along with the small cost of upgrades. The market is also CRAZY hot in Charlotte right now so it was even hard to buy a resale home. I mean people were buying them sight unseen that’s how competitive it was. It was nuts!

Steven Hua Thank you! They were a last minute splurge haha 😂 No, everything at design center was super structured and black and white. I would say the only thing I could see negotiations being allowed on would be your design center credit which is determined by the sales office. Sometimes if something goes wrong, you can ask for a larger design credit or something like that 🤷🏼‍♀️

We lived very close to our site so we did a lot of drive-bys but our builder was very strict about us being supervised while on site for liability purposes. So anytime we stepped onto the site, we had to have a sales representative go with us since it technically is their property until you close. Hope this helped! Congrats on your build! :)

They are 9 foot ceilings with 8 foot doors!
