Chicken is a southern style fast casual restaurant specializing in Rotisserie Chicken and classic comfort food. Originating in Texas and founded by Cowboy Bob, the menu offers up classic comfort food staples with original flare. Some interesting menu items are twice baked taters, jalapeno infused lemonade and a Chicken Sandwich topped with Chicken Skins.
This particular location is the first in Florida. Located right outside Walt Disney World in the Promenade at Sunset Walk. For those that don't know, The Promenade at Sunset Walk is the shopping district directly in front of Margaritaville. This area boasts an impressive selection of unique shops and eateries.
When we saw there was a restaurant called Cowboy Chicken in there we knew we had to try it out. In this video, we provide a complete dining review of Cowboy Chicken. Trying out their signature fixins, spicy lemonade, classic chicken, brisket, in-house made peach cobbler and more. At the end we go over our thoughts and how we think the Cowboy compares to its closest competitor, Chicken Guy.

Absolutely drooling at it all! 😨 I love me a good rotisserie chicken and this place looks legit. So I went to go see locations in Texas and omg you two, there's one in McAllen, Texas which is next door to where I grew up in The Valley. I told Chad that's going to be our meal when we're driving through there to get home to Brownsville in November. And ratings are good too. 4.5 out of 5 for that location. It was establish on birthday year too! How cool. We would love more outside Disney videos every so often 🙌🏻 Yum! P.S. That chocolate peanut butter bar though 😨

We're still drooling thinking about it 😆. So cool this spot was founded during birthday year and there's one near your home town! Truly meant to be 😃. We can attest to our experience here being great and have to imagine a Texas location, in their home state, has to be even better. Hope to hear both your thoughts after you try it out! We'll definitely be exploring more offerings in this area.

I like when you do restaurants outside of the Disney universal bubble. For people who don’t stay on property and have an off day to relax it’s nice to show them other places to eat.

I have never heard of Cowboy Chicken before! This looks like a great spot. You had me at chicken! Rotisserie chicken is my favourite. We were disappointed n our last time at Chicken Guy too. Im so intrigued by the cucumber jalapeño lemonade, that sounds so fun. 8/10 is a great score for lemonade! The food looks so good. Wow you can tell the chicken is juicy just by looking at it, yum. The brisket - yum!! Mmm Mac and cheese. The sandwich looks great too. Those mashed potatoes really do sound amazing. I love peach so that dessert sounds right up my alley. Mmm and the peanut butter chocolate dessert, yum! I really want to try this place now, looks so good!

Thank you 😃, we hadn't heard of this spot until we drove past it one day. After researching we felt like we had to try it out. Everything felt fresh yet unique. The jalapeno lemonade was fun and interesting. I think all the food hit the mark. Definitely recommend this over Chicken Guys current offerings. It's sad to see how they've fallen off but this place is close and more than makes up for what Guy is missing. If you ever end up hear we'd love to hear your thoughts.

I miss Cowboy Chicken. I used to go to one in north Texas years ago when I lived there. It was nice to have an overall healthier option among the chains all around the suburbs out there.

Going to have to check this place out! This lil area is nice. Been to Fords Garage multiple times and also Lizzie’s BBQ. Enjoyed both and plan to go back. Great review as always! Would love to see you two do a live stream one day of either Q&A or park stream trying different quick food. Ever considered?

We agree, The Promenade is great and such a great amenity if staying at Margaritaville. Ford's Garage is on our list! Happy to hear more positive experiences from there. We have eaten at Capone's around here which we didn't have a great experience at. Cowboy Chicken was 🔥 though. Highly recommend and hope to hear your thoughts when you go. I(Jay) have had thoughts of live streaming, Sam isn't sure how she feels about being put on the spot since Lives are a bit of a different beast. Definitely something we've contemplated experimenting with as, hopefully, the channel grows. We really appreciate the suggestion and thanks for the kind words 😃.

Love me some chicken! 🐓 I had never heard of this place, and assumed it was locally-owned until we did a quick Google search. Turns out, they only have three locations outside of Texas! 😮 No wonder we’ve yet to run across it. The chicken that y’all had definitely did look more like white meat than dark meat, but I tend to go for the white meat anyway. Definitely looked like a juicy bird either way - and all the sauces sounded incredible. I was sold before the Mac, but then…there was Mac! 🤤 Glad to hear that everything ranked as highly as it looked like it was going to! I’d be interested to hear what you all think of the pineapple cobbler at Aulani, if and when you visit someday - that dish has effectively set our cobbler bar for us, and nothing on the mainland has _quite_ measured up since. Records are made to be broken, though, and it sounds like the peach cobbler here is a contender! 👀 glad y’all have a new go-to chicken place!

Yes yes, this franchise is growing and for good reason. The offerings were original and you could taste how fresh everything is. The sauces were great and we definitely need to go back to try their chicken tenders. Aulani is on our list but not sure if we have the funds to afford a visit anytime soon. When we did the math we calculated a week in Paris being cheaper than a few days there and we just can't swing it in our current financial position. Hopefully one day we can try their legendary Pineapple Cobbler 😃. If it's anything like The Polynesian's Pineapple Bread Pudding I'm sure it'll be an instant classic. Thank you! Looking forward to more future trips to Cowboy Chicken 🤠.
