New! Creed Centaurus First Impressions | A Spicy Tobacco Fragrance for the Modern Gentleman 

My local Dillards has 2 new Creeds you can test but not buy.. You are right about Centaurus it does smell very similar to Infrared… doesn’t have that sweet red berries like Infrared but more of a sweet amber balsam. Besides that they smell damn close to one another. Both are damn good.. They also have the new Creed Delphinus to test and I didn’t really like the opening of that scent, it didn’t have much going like barley had a scent at all.. but once the scent started to dry down that’s when the magic happened, it turned into a smooth Amber n smoky vanilla scent. It smelled like a smokier version of rehab or maybe absolute aphrodisiac, couldn’t quite pin point it but man is that dry down fucking fantastic..

Man, I could not stop smelling my sample last night.... it is SOOOO GOOD! I usually don't consider buying Creed bottles for my wallet's sake, but my wallet may have to suffer when this one officially drops!

Can't wait to smell this one !! FYI: I received Paris Corner- Charuto Regal Reserve (Amouage Royal Tobacco dupe)...and whoa !...it smells awesome ! LOL...I still need to grab Spicebomb InfraRED edp....thanks for the "reminder" !

Got my decant today. Holly shit. This may be my favorite scent profile ever. This is not for the youthful crowd but for us 40 somethings and up, this is quite possibly my favorite fragrance ever. I agree on the dried fruit. I don’t know where it’s coming from but I smell it.

I got my hands on a sample thanks to you, and I completely agree with your take on this one Randy! Centaurus is really nice!! I put one spray from a 2ml decant on my hand last night before bed, and I could still smell it in the morning. And I have dry skin, so if anyone is worried about longevity, don’t be. Not sure about projection, but I was able to catch wafts of it when I woke up twice in the middle of the night to use the restroom (I have nothing to gain by hyping this up, though if Creed wanted to send me a bottle I’d happily take one 😂). I’m sure all the Creed haters will crap on it, but this is a fantastic release from the house! And one I feel fills a gap in their lineup. I’ll definitely be looking to grab a bottle once it hits discounters! Side note, I agree, the bottle isn’t all that. The color is nice, I just wish they would’ve added a plate to the front to give it more of a contrast. But you don’t wear the bottle, so that’s just a minor gripe.

To me, this smells a good deal like Grand Soir; a dry semi resonous amber.

I received my bottle today and was able to get it early! This is a beastly, boozy resinous cinnamon balsam scent! It veers far away from the typical Creed DNA but is really nice so far 👌

sounds intersting but i'm usually not a fan of warm/sweet fragrances and it sounds more like a warm winter scent

Back story The inspiration is Josephine Catapano the creator of Youth-Dew Estée Lauder. Hence creed mimic the bottle color of Youth-Dew Estée Lauder juice. The month of centaurus is may. Josephine passed away May 14, 2012. This is a homage to here this is an updated version higher quality Youth-Dew Estée Lauder. I will advise 30 years old and down to sample because it’s a very mature scent. Spicy powdery it’s an older generation dna to Josephine Catapano. It is a tweaked version of Youth-Dew Estée Lauder it’s really a woman fragrance but they added and took out few notes modernized it made it powerful so a man could also wear it. It is at heart a women’s fragrance but has the power for us men to wear if your into vintage scents. It’s kinda crazy they celebrating her death. Seem very Masonic but that is the truth. Most likely the new owners have some type history with Josephine Catapano.

Hey actually the 2 newest ladies creed is in similar style and color bottles… Carmina and Queen of Silk and the bottles are nicer in person than online. And I love the fragrance in both. Can’t wait to smell this one. Would you say a woman can wear it bc I’m hearing it’s being market as unisex? Thanks for the review

I can’t stand cinnamon. If it’s cinnamon heavy like angel’s share it’s a no from me. If it’s well-blended like absolu or sauvage elixir, I’ll try it
