These are the builds I love to see! Whole reason I got into Bluetooth speakers. Have you checked out Daytons new epique woofer line? Just got my 5.5 in doing some research on what needs to be done to put it in the executive box with some different equipment.
@@ChrisDIYerOklahoma Should check em out, they are Daytons new "groundbreaking" subwoofer. Pretty much they are a sub in a midbass sized package. They are some thick boys though. Also it's parts express beginner platform for Bluetooth speakers. I'm still fairly new to the scene. After scouring ages for a portable Bluetooth speaker that actually plays deep bass for, found the only solution is building your own. Outside of Harman kardon seems every company refuses to put out anything that plays below 40-45hz.
The fact that you corrected yourself from 100,000,000,000°F down to 100°F made me laugh for some reason and give an instant thumbs up. Now, back to the video. Hahaha
Liked a subscribed! Definitely the best Bluetooth speaker I’ve seen after hours of research. Anyway I can get a detailed parts list?! I’d love to challenge myself to a build of this quality, and would be happy to buy you a couple coffees! Lol
Beats mine with 50RMS per channel with only two 4.5In speakers. It's loud enough for a BBQ or something but lacks the sounds quality It's only a 30AH Amped Outdoor battery with NVX Rec and MTX 100.2 and my overcomplicated fuse block and cigarette plug to be a small power bank.
PRV Audio tweeters. Running these now and LOVE them. Pure silk dome. www.amazon.com/PRV-AUDIO-TW100SD-4-Lightweight-Neodymiun/dp/B096W52RWR/ref=asc_df_B096W52RWR/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=532907689837&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14544272198951212268&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9026282&hvtargid=pla-1392745625966&psc=1&mcid=d457ec1155b737e1b3782c6487400180&gclid=CjwKCAiApuCrBhAuEiwA8VJ6Jq6Wtz_fWNZJC_0tDlWVAEBeeoTa6Bl-HnbO4kUJFu2Xhyf_vGbk0RoCF2oQAvD_BwE
Class D or digital chip amplifiers sip power. ie -- they go loud without sucking the juice out of the battery. I use the Dakota Lithium 10 aH ones. But, there are tons of similar batteries out there for much cheaper on Amazon.
I'm 38 but will you be my dad? Lol thats sick by the way. Uncle Andy flew was a test pilot back then, just retired from 767s. His brother Gen.Jim Armor has been around the block. GPA: USS Iowa, my father -Nam, lots of stories from back in the good days downrange..but ANYHOW, just getting into this stuff, been in car audio forever and love your videos. Damn good product my friend.
All of your builds ive watched so far have been of the highest quality, and with a great DIY look! Massive step up from the other DIYers making little ammo can speakers
Hello how are you doing how much for one of these big ones man that is bad ass I love that kind of stuff I see you are Knowledgeable I would like too do stuff like that but I don't know anything about it well I subscribe to your channel.
Many ask...and then all I hear is crickets. I have been offered $500 for PHANTOM (big green dual 8" one). I got over $1600 in parts in it...and people won't pay even that. My bottom line (period) is $3200 cash local pick up. No negotiating, no trades, no bullshit. I don't make these to sell...only build them because I like the challenge and want to kick the shit out of anything you see here on RU-vid.
@@ChrisDIYerOklahoma - Fair enough. Thanks for posting your costs. Many of us are curious as to how much money needs to be spent and if it's worth it. For me, not worth it. I'm good with a pair of $150-$200 BT speakers as I never turn them up - I have neighbours. Your builds are super cool looking though.
I suck at painting. I got some excellent black bedliner that I will use in the future. What I need done, is bead blasting an empty can with all the speaker holes (etc) already cut.
No. I have people say they'd give me $250 for one...I about laugh. These are expensive to build (and build right). So many on RU-vid build these ammo can speakers and slap car coaxials in and think they sound great. I went that path...and they sound like absolute shit. Mine are built for deep lows, clear mids, clean highs...balanced with POWER. I also "tune" them with porting. So, I don't and won't build these to sell. When I tell people my bottom line, THEY laugh. So, fu-k it...quality costs and make these because I enjoy making them and use them around the house (made six, different type cans). All are bitchin' great sound.
Here is a link for one that comes close...Fosi Audio. They do about max 100-120w RMS x 2. Maybe more power with a 48v booster. I own three of them and power them with a 12v - 36v step up booster. Seems like it prefers 36v. www.amazon.com/dp/B07JVFY27T?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzchris04e-20&creativeASIN=B07JVFY27T&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.27BNZR0I7CK2W&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_d_asin
Pretty cool. I think I'm going to build one with a bigger can and make a separate chamber for the electronics so I can cool them down. Why is no one making watercooled amps yet?
What’s it mean to have tweeters parallel to sub woofers, is the planet audio equalizer an optional component only to adjust sound , how are speakers wired at different ohms … thanks and great job
There are several RU-vid videos on speaker wiring to learn how impedance is affected. You don't need to spend a ton of money on expensive crossovers...a cap and resistor (properly rated) is all you need to balance the sound between the tweeter and woofer.
NFS. I put over $1200 in parts alone into this build. 99.99% of people laugh at me for what I charge...which is non-negotiable. So, I build them to enjoy myself and learn to make them the best on the planet.
No. But "DIY Boom Boxes in Texas" might build you anything you want. His channel: www.youtube.com/@diyboomboxesintexas2805. My builds are better tho, but too expensive to build/tune/market/sell. Something like the one in the video would cost well over $1,000. My biggest ones, over $2,000.
