I’m not going to mince words. When I was your age, I stunk on the bass. I was like 16-18 before I was able to play what you’re playing. You will be eclipsing me any month now, and leaving me in the dust. You were born to play bass Ellen.

Hey Ellen, Ive been watching you for several months now, and its really fun to watch your incredible progress. Im an old man now, but back in my day (the 70's and 80's) I was a bass player myself. Played with a number a great bands in those days. I just want to say that your bass playing is exceptional, so keep up the great work. But what excites me with this episode, is to see you singing. Back in my day, I avoided singing while playing bass. If I had it to do all over again, I really feel I missed my mark by not learning to sing while playing. My humble advise? Keep on the path of learning to sing while playing! I have learned over the years, that even if you dont have a great voice, learning to sing while playing is critical to becoming a fully professional bass player. Assuming that is your goal. Anyway, you really seem to be having a lot of fun with what you are doing and where it may be heading. Ellen, the goal of a good life, is to follow the current paths in your life, that are positive productive, the experiences that help you grow as a person, the times that make you smile, and learn from the times that give you happiness. Follow this, and you will grow up being very happy. Best wishes to you young lady, and thank you for sharing your videos with all of us!
