I couldn't get into playing the dark elves because they were missing my favorite units. Excited that they were added. Ooo boy going to need a few days.
please note people planning to use malus/zarkan there is a split second where there is neither malus or zarkan on the field so poping that ability late in a match once everything is in tatters has the ability to trigger an army loss snatching a loss from the jaws of victory. unless they already changed that.
Just the sound of those medusas is almost enough to get me to buy this one. I've always had a hard time getting into Dark Elves. I'd like to play them more since I think they're pretty cool, and they are my favourite flavour of elves, and this might make them a bit more fun to play
This was a glorious battle makes me want to start playing warhammer 2 again malaus darkblade has a very special place in my dark heart the novel's were great.
@@alexvov8735 Kind of a waste of space to have 4 bolt throwers. Dark elves are a rush faction. You would be better off with Cavalry like Dread knights to go after range or Black dragons that can come and charge the back lines once they are done with the archers.
I'm playing TWW since it is released in 2016 and of course I also play TWW2 since release. I have for now about 2000 hours in TWW2 and it is my absolut favourit game. However, I played dozens of SP/MP campaings with all kind of mods. Every DLC is just a present from heaven for me, I think CA makes a good job there and they are learning from DLC to DLC what to do as it is for the content. Although, I'm thirsting for something really big, means TWW3. This is a game which I'm waiting for, this is for me something rare, and I tell you I will celebrate the day where it will be released!
I feel like the Medusa’s shoot animation should have been the same for terrorgheist shriek. I always found it odd that a shriek leaves a stream through the air
Those Medusai are a sick new addition. Super accurate and no firing arc lines, big damage, mobile, and terror to boot. Incredible, Dark Elves, top tier again?
Considering that CA made a point of saying that they won't be changing transformation of Kadon, the transformation to Tz'arkan is quite tame, I mean it's good but it's more like a reskin than a changing the model
can't say i like the extra snake heads on the medusa body. It works with the hair, or even a single one at the tail, but several out of the body on the ground just doesn't look well. Hopefully they're part of the cult of Slanesh, since imo thats the only way Medusas fit Dark Elves more then a Chaos faction.
Great video, especially for someone like me who just bought the game, I’m on my first campaign now tho malekith but after that I’m probably looking for some cool dlc or might cop this one to make the roster even broader.
From my experience I would avoid the Hunter and the beast DLC, unless you dont have total war Warhammer 1 and want to play as empire, as Nakal is a really boring faction to play
man, it would've been nice if Rakarth got these units with him, feels odd having Malus be the best boi. Like, i hope there's a patch or something that makes him a knight lord. Like, buff cold one knights, maybe shades since there's no one specifically for them, could be an interesting army for campaign
The Master has his shield equipped backwards, the almost-circular hole is supposed to be on the inside, closer to your face. Compare him to the spearmen.
Should have used the character design used on the novel covers. Not the comic design but they are kind of close. Just prefer the novel cover look, tall and a little strung out looking.
People are REALLY sleeping on the fact the RoR harpies cause terror. That is such a huge factor, a fast, relatively cheap, terror bombing unit that can break wavering lines.
Am I the only one that saw the Medusa Shrine and just thought that's a catapult, are we throwing whole Medusas at people now? These girls are big units
Medusa seems a bit underpowered considering how strong the darkshards and the other monsters are, but then you consider the one strategy they can pull off better than any other unit in the dark elf army: the "Phallus of Doom"! Create a few breaks. Slither her through them. Blast their backs with impunity!
Hey Mate, just a little message of support and some questions/suggestions. I post it here since it's your last video. First thanks for your Channel ! I am a former total war player, have been playing Rome Total war 1 a lot but not any other obtus. I restarted 2 months ago with Total War Warhammer 2 and you have been a great help with your videos to get back on the horse and get use to those units system and learn new tricks (like the fact that monstrous infantery is perfect to stop large beast monster to run around destroying the whole army formation). Also I think I am a bit of both types of Fan (epic/fantasy and historical total war). I loved the genealogical tree in Rome 1 and the gestion system and here it is true that it feels a bit too much simplied... There is of course more fun in the battles but the campaign feels kinda lacking something. What do you think of the Total war Troy coming up soon ? I would enjoy if it is a mix of both gender, with genealogical trees of the important members of this timeframe (Ulysse, Achille, Agamemnon etc) but also some mythologic units like minotaurus pegasus etc. Now my question is mostly about artillery and units scale : Since my computer isn't a beast anymore, I play with lower units ladder (less combatants by units). I experienced that in that case, artillery units get worst because you often get only one machine (e.g for Vampire Coast, Carronade, Mortar) while Artillery that have already only one unit at large unit scale (like queen bless) stay very relevant. It is also the case for some chariots units, monsters and cavalery (those have very few units or one at the lower scale). Is there a standard ladder to which I should adapt to have a better feeling of the game ? Battles gets also way quicker since there is less combatants in each units. Anyways big up for you !
While the Medusa looks cool and their ranged attack seems to pack a punch compared to the new Skaven RoR Avalanche Launcher that melted half the health bar on a unit of Grail Knights with one volley, they seem a bit underwhelming. Though most units do tbh compared to that.
Not gonna lie, them Medusa tickle me funsiz xD Dark elves just got a huge buff and they need it, now pls CA update the chariot mechanic I want my chariot to be actually viable :p
I don't get CA some times.. DE already had bolters set to single target to deal against monsters... now they also have medusas and chariots that can shoot anti large missiles? what's the point on so much redundancy in troops? i get they have some differences but what's the point in providing sooo many tools to a single faction while some others have to deal with them like a faction weakness?
ouch... Medusa's ranged attack looks pretty crippling if left alive too long, she's definitely going to get prioritized for immediate termination with every projectile and spell that can be spared
Honestly? When i saw the Medusae Model and that i could choose the starting position of a Dark Elves faction NOT ON NAGGAROND, that was the dealmaker. i could care less about Malus, Clan Eshin( Well, Snikth a little bit). The high Beastmaster looks horrible....

Isn't it unusual that the master has both a halberd and a shield? Halberds are almost always 2 handed and plus, master GW models don't have a shield...
It would explain his low offensive stats. I think with them they were definitely focused more on making an anti-large hero unit that needed to HOLD things.
Just for the future... when doing videos like these you should really say exactly how much AP and non AP dmg each unit does and the same applies to BvI and BvL.
Is there any way to force your flying units onto the ground aside from having them attack enemy units? It would help when your Lord is getting ganked in the air.
@@TheCommunistColin It's not, that would be too merciful. If one looks at them they start bleeding from every orifice on their body until they die. STOP BUTCHERING THE LORE, also they are medusae not Medusas.
