Those 3 “Main minions” are NOT Kevin, Stuart, and Bob. I am pretty sure that 2 of those minions are the ones that didn’t leave Gru in despicable me 3. (The 3rd one might be Mel.)
If they aren't the main minions and they aren't the ones that stayed with him or Mel. Then I think we are going to see a new back story with three new minions.
They missed the perfect opportunity to bring back Vector as the villain. Like, it would provide the backstory on how he got back from the moon and he is hunting Gru's family and he has all these cool new gadgets from the fundings of his father. Like, you know how awesome that would be? Idk but I think it would be awesome and they definitely missed out on such a cool opportunity
I watched despicable me 4 all the villains came back vector the viscous 6 all of them even the woman that wanted the queens crown all of them ca e back

The movies are already having trouble giving all the character screen time, kind of through the girls got push to the side. More characters more problems, it's a real struggle. Now I'm not saying completely cut Drew, but maybe wait a few movies & let him reemergence being a change character, maybe a new conflict.
I have a theory poppy may be gru daughter cause her parents have blonde haired with brown eyes but poppy has ginger hair with blue eyes gru has a pointy nose and so does poppy btw poppy “parents” have normal noses gru has blue eyes so does poppy lucy(gru wife) has ginger hair so maybe Lucy and poppy’s “mom” were friends and Lucy got pregnant by gru but didn’t want to tell him so she gave birth and gave her baby to her friend because maybe poppy’s mom can’t give birth and see how she says she was born to be a villain just like gru
Honestly, if Gru had daughter with Valentina then why he scared to date in the second franchise? 🤔 Unless, it's one night stand but it's sounds like dark. By the way, can't wait to see! 😍
The reason is (I googled it I'm not smart) the creator thought since the minions are so dumb they couldn't possibly imagine a minion being a girl (Google it for yourself if you don't believe me)
