We have come so far an Indian from 2022. So much stuff earned so many things lost yet India is what it stood for for its ancient culture, great civilization, treasure of knowledge & humble & intelligent loving people. 😊 May my motherland keeps growing more & better in every positive front. Let it gets back its actual glory & rightful place in this world.

Same. Brought tears to my eyes. Those innocent eyes of our people. Sitting nd clapping on ground, seeing this peculiar but interesting event. Horses, elephants. Our Indian soldiers(who r no longer with us), old airforce plane replica, our soldiers, culture, civilian girls parading (immaturely), balloons. Those were the days, when we were poor, had just got independence, after hard struggle of our forefathers. Also by inviting British Queen, our erstwhile colony, it also tells abt our global standing. Maybe at tht time, in the eyes of the Britishers, it would have been showing of some "good heart" by gracing the event of "poor Indians" who they have ruled for 2 centuries brutally. Now we have reached far ahead. Nd also living a healthy nd progressive lifestyle, Just cause of the sacrifice of our forefathers for us who were unable to live in this moment of comfort nd free air. Its Time to make our beloved nation the glorious gem of earth, prosperous, preaching the message of universal peace nd brotherhood.(as its ancient philosophy is based upon)

yes exactly, I've heard stories from the old men of my city, they speak very well of the times when we had long queues for nowadays basic necessities like rations, buses, etc. We outlook the fact that how well India industrialized itself in the very first 25 years of its independence. Back then we barely had enough resources to properly educate the masses, a lot has improved. But people today don't learn to appreciate, that India has evolved and will continue to do so.

I just saw 1987 republic day parade and difference is clear Indian army came from very average to Excellent in less than 50 years And see now , we are way ahead of that island that ruined our cultural heritage and pride for several years

till 1961- all are our friends, we dont need to spend on army and defence. 1962-2022- 4 full scale war and 70.2 billion USD defence budget( about 2x of whole GDP of india in 1961)

They had much bigger cameras then, with better definition, and were using film, not video. The cameramen were better trained and the cameras were better mounted, on fixed positions, so you get a much steadier picture.
