As you may know, Demko was a significant contributor to Cold Steel - he invented the Triad lock. No doubt some of Lynn Thompson's blade insanity rubbed off!! Would love to see Demko take off from where Lynn T left off. Have a great day.

Demko has been in the knife industry for years. He designed the Triad lock for (Lynn Thomspon) Cold Steel. Also been doing customs for years. He's a big innovator. His customs often feature interesting design elements. Have a great day.
can't wait for the shark pup. I've been putting off buying a Demco for a long time but this one looks perfect. Hopefully they can start making shark locks on some budget steels like 14cr28n. That's all we really need for everyday use. VG10, s30v, nitro V, etc would be a great match and a perfect $100ish dollar knife. g10 scales obviously
I think biggest issue for Demko being a relatively new brand (although Demko himself has been around for years) is to be financially stable. I'm hoping that if sales and profits continue we'll start to see some variety and budget options. Definitely a brand to watch. Have a great day.
@Jesse Robinson unfortunately you can't get the lock anywhere else, no competition. That's why people pay more for it. the lock is amazing too, so kinda worth it?
I just got an AD20.5 with camo G10 handles and s35vn clip point blade. Think it’s going to be my favorite modern folder. As a lefty, it feels great to have a fully ambidextrous folding knife
Demko needs to release that Megalodon because I love BIG Folders like that! I have a few of the Cold Steel Big Folders like the Rajah 2 and Espada XL because they are just COOL to look at and they are great conversation starters.
@@realbroggo He is the reason I have got the Big Rajah 2 and Espada XL but was only able to find the Recon Tanto with the 4 inch blade when I really wanted the Clip point in the 5.5 inch model. I also have three of the older Recon two in bayonet and one Clip point with the previous locking mechanism that is not on the spine but on the scales like a benchmade knife and I think Cold Steel had to stop making knives with that system because of a Licensing issue.
Just got a Demko 20.5. Love it. Good to see a PA knife designer too! Hope they come out with more larger knives in the 3.5 blades. Was surprised by the action of the knife, smooth. I can see why these knives are so popular.
Wait. A Bushcraft fixed blade in Magnacut with an easy-to-clean dangler sheath for only $200?!?!?! FSCKING SOLD! They just drank Benchmade's milkshake and are making Mora nervous with that one. Everyone else is coming out with $200-$300 S30v blades and bragging about them while Demko's like "oh yeah, here's our U.S.-made one in Magnacut for $200."
Some cool designs but no way am I paying big money for something with such thick blade stock as that shortened ad20. It would cut like crap. That shark cub looks pretty good though. Might get me a thumb stud clip point. Make an ad20.5 with thinner stock and a non-garbage pocket clip and I’d be all over that. If I need a prybar I’ll get a prybar. I want my knife to cut.
If You like to use a knife and You really hate Your fingers, get the scorpio, sharko, shito lock... But if You are buying those as an collector, spend this easily earned money!
Oh man that shark cub is fantastic and it’s coming in 20cv with ultem scales! Well that’s an instant buy. Demko are so great. Take note Spyderco, this is how you show up to a trade show. The whole lineup was fresh and impressive. That Megalodon may be silly but it’s fun and if your gonna make a 2 handed folder then make a 2 handed folder!
@@Knivess0 They said cub will cost $200 at Knife Center I believe. I’m sure the ultem will be slightly higher. No idea on Megalodon but suspect the price will match the knife. Ginormous.
@@thenutcracker2921 Hmm, thats not that bad, honestly. Just can't do a 20.5 with D2 for close to 200 USD. Was kinda surprised how small they were when I first saw one, not that it's a bad thing but I just thought I'd be getting a little more for the price tag. I don't doubt they're not great knives, I love the shark lock idea and am all for new us based makers, even if they're manufactured in Taiwan, I believe.
Demko has like 4 knives, Spyderco is in the hundreds. If it ain't broke don't fix it lol they're like jordan shoes, everyone loves their models so they just have to improve on materials and come out with new colors. The main 10 models are always sold out and keep their value on the secondary. They did come out with new models this year for the first time in a while, the microjimbo took the show IMO. Seems like makers are going for smaller knives this year. And really big for even if it's for fun lol I'm not a hater I actually use a demko ad20.5 with a Transparent knives reblade all the time it's great. Problem is but they overcharge bigtime, I hope they're saving up so they can expand, hire designers etc and not just riding on their only models like they have been for the last decade. Andrew make it happen, I carry my 4 max elite everyday as a Gardner here on the islands where I live and there’s no better implement to cut palm fronds and branches, your dead right on that.
I think all the cool knife makers have a secret groupchat to discuss what random shit they're going to make for Blade Show. "OK GUYS, this year we're making gigantic sized versions of our best knife"
Nice new lineup. Thanks for keeping us in touch with new things, M. Andersen. I've got a new (for me) Ad20.5 droppoint s35vn, and i can't stop playing with it, "can't stop" as Bryan Adams could sing. Great EDC, smaller than my Air Lite, but i'm glad to know a smaller version will come out, as the 20.5 could be too long to be well seen here. Will probably get a sheepfoot one to complete the collection.
