He lived and died on his own terms. Here I've been feeling sorry for myself because of things going on in my life. I've whined and complained, nothing changed. People accused him of being on drugs at 1:52 not knowing that he was sick and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Credit should also be given to his friends and family. For a famous actor to be able to keep a cancer diagnosis secret from the press for 4 years meant that those who knew didnt betray his trust. It allowed him to live the rest of his life on his terms.

My mom passed away after having colon cancer surgery...my heart still aches for her, just as it aches for you, Chadwick. Far too young to be gone. RIP Chadwick 💙🙏🙏

There is absolutely no way to wrap my head around how he was able to do what he did. He obviously did not want attention on the illness, nor did he allow it to limit him. I believe had he told ppl, the ppl would have limited all he wanted to continue to do and purposed that he would continue doing it until all the breath was gone out of him. He literally did that.

I can only think of Hamilton “you really do write like you’re running out of time.” I have to wonder if the reason why he took on so many projects is because he knew he had only so long. I'm so glad I wasn't one of the ones who spoke negative on him. I was really concerned for him. I noticed he looked thin at the end of End Game but I honestly thought it was because of one of the films he was set to star in. 21 Bridges or Da 5 Bloods. Then when he posted that video in April I was worried and said something isn't right. His hand shook when he lifted it up as he spoke. I remember putting my phone down and thinking. No he's fine. He's ok but over the last few months he would cross my mind and I hoped he was ok. I just watched Get on Up again like two weeks ago. This really sucks. Really sucks and is heartbreaking. I was a fan of his work and wanted to see more from him. Prayers go out to all that knew him. His friends and family.

I love Chadwick! He fulfilled his mission on earth. In that span of four years, he was able to succeed and was on top of his game. It is painful that he was battling without our knowing but I praise him for that because he was so brave and powerful whilst enduring the pain - physically, mentally, emotionally. There are lessons to be learned here. Do what you can and achieve it without complaining. Appreciate and be grateful for every breath that you take each and every second of the day, love and enjoy your life, be kind and treat others with respect, help others without asking anything in return and most of all, be faithful to God. Yes, be faithful to God. I don't wonder why he was so strong and powerful to still shoot and finished all those work that he has done with flying colors, it is because God is with him. He trusted God and knew that, for as long as he has faith in God, he will succeed - and he did! I asked him to be my Angel and I know that he is! Rest in God's Kingdom now, prince! We love you!

He probably was in pain but he fought until the end wow visiting children with same illness. So young makes you want to take a step back and think how truly he was blessed. He made there day he truly thought nothing of himself but how can I make them feel better. AMAZING he will be missed .

I just went through 8 rounds of chemo, bilateral mastectomy and now radiation. It is so hard on your body. I told everybody about my diagnosis and that worked for me. I so respect anyone keeping this private at the same time. God bless anyone who joins this club that no one wants to be a part of. There are several gifts at the same time--I was dying before my cancer diagnosis and now I am living after it.

What a selfless, resilient person. I’m so sad. At least everything was on his terms, and everyone in his circle protected him.

I've struggled with this loss so much but I'm finding comfort in the fact that he knew we loved and appreciated him for who he truly was and not through the lense of sickness. He didn't let the cancer define him and even now neither should we. I'm relieved that his family and estate were able to be the ones to release the information and probably as he intended. Cancer never stopped him to inspire others. He wanted to inspire others and the way he did it while battling the cancer i have no words to explain it. He is a real artist gave up his life for the craft and did his best works in the final years. This kind of work ethic will definitely inspire people to do things they love..

I have seen and spoke to many individuals going through what he was going through. I personally don't know how he did it. Please people out there, make sure you go through the testing after 40 years old... It can save your life...
