My ideal diabetes bag would likely be a small, purse-type bag with a cross-body strap for comfort and style, possibly in a rose-gold color. I'd like to have several roomy compartments. One being for my glucose meter, lancing device, and test strips. The second compartment I'd like to be able to carry pump supplies in, meaning an infusion set, an extra cartridge, and batteries. I'd like another compartment for glucose tabs, snacks, and glucagon. In the last compartment, I'd like to be able to keep my cell phone, earbuds, and a few personal items. This would be perfect for me and help me stay organized. Danica, you're a huge inspiration to me and an amazing young woman. Your videos have helped me more than you can ever imagine with my diabetes. Thank you so much, you are amazing!

I think I'd design it in a rose colour and it definitely need to fit in my meter, pricker, teststrips, needles, one insulinpen, sweets and snacks, but it also shouldn't be too big so I can carry it everywhere I go. It also should have space for my wallet and my phone. ☺️

I go back and forth on this - sometimes I want one bag to hold it all, and sometimes I want a bag that holds/organizes smaller bags so I can just take minimal essentials when I'm only out to lunch, for example, and more when I'm gone for the day. I'd do a dark/charcoal gray. So, my minimalist bag would have a wallet, pouch for used strips, place for meter, lancer, strips, tissue, alcohol swab, and a place for phone and keys (possibly pen needle and insulin pen). My bigger bag would also hold extra pump site, cartridge, pump charging cable, water bottle, sunglasses, book.

My perfect diabetes bag would be light grey or silver. I would keep extra infusion sets/reservoirs, extra insulin, syringes, my meter, snacks (lots of fruit snacks), batteries, and my phone. I would also design a pocket for my ID as well as a pocket for a medical ID and a pocket for glucagon.

My perfect bag would hold all of the essentials- meter and supplies, glucagon, insulin, syringes, infusion sets, cartridges, juice or tabs, etc. It would also hold my phone, wallet/be a wallet, my keys, and anything else I'd need during the day. Essentially a cross body purse, I guess. It would be black, grey, blue, or purple- or maybe black with a cool color scheme inside!

The perfect diabetes bag would have enough room for the essentials (BG meter, strips, insulin...), the extras (infusion set, tubing, cartridge, glucagon, snacks...) and my everyday items like my wallet, keys and phone. I'd prefer a bag big enough to fit a water bottle though, and pockets! You can never go wrong with pockets. Grey works with pretty much anything, so that's be a great colour.

My daughter Jilly said it would have to fit the big tube of pink icing that she carries around (incase of an emergency only of course). She would pick a neon green bag! Thanks Danica! She's just been diagnosed and your videos have been super helpful and your positive attitude is really making this all less scary for her. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A perfect bag would hold the glucagon definitely and a small sharps container. I would even add an insulated pocket for extra insulin. It would need a pockets on the outside for a phone and dexcom receiver. Since this would be for my 8 year old T1D daughter, it would have to be purple! We currently use a black canvas cross body bag that I sewed a Type 1 patch on the front and added a zipper pull with my daughter's name and my phone number. We used 2 soft pencil cases for supplies. The red one has hypo supplies: glucagon, skittles in an old prescription bottle, fruit snacks and emergency info card. The green one has an insulin pump set, cartridge, syringes, an old prescription bottle labeled "Sharps", and insulin. the bag also holds her meter case with lancing device, lancets, alcohol swabs, strips, band-aids and the meter. It has a zippered pocket on the front for her phone and a deep open pocket for the dexcom receiver. It's not nearly as cute as the Mybetic bags though.

The perfect diabetes bag for me would be able to hold my meter supplies, have compartments for extra pump supplies, and places to hold snacks and glucose tablets. The area that holds extra pump supplies could also have the option to hold an ice pack incase you need it. I think it would be pink because it could go with most of what I wear.

I forgot to answer the question. My perfect diabetes bag would have space (a visible space where I dont have to remove it) for my tester, lancing device, lancets, small snacks, strips trash, wallet (I like the built in wallet) phone, extra pump inset (if anything goes wrong, it is usually that!) and keys. I just got the gold bag but wish they made other colors like Mint or purple or a vintage leather brown. Just a hint too Danica, I use this bag in conjunction with my bigger bag. So all my diabetes supplies are organized/protected with my wallet but I have extra space to put keys, sanitizer etc. I can pull out the bag with the wristlet and still have the essentials! omgee this became a long comment!

my perfect bag would hold extra cartridges, infusion sets, syringes, meter and supplies, glucagon, insulin, and have a portable sharps container built in until you could dispose of your needles properly. and it would be pale baby pink with a black bow.

A great bag for a child on shots would have places for glucagon, insulin pen, pen tips, syringes, insulin cartridge, juice boxes, candy or fruit snacks, free foods, pen and log book, emergency contact info, meter (and charger), test strips, lancing device, CGM receiver, and alcohol wipes. It would come in a variety of fun colors/designs to be worn as a side bag or backpack and it would be insulated.

My perfect diabetes bag would be a casual black crossbody, medium sized (a little bigger than the Marie Mini Crossbody), with the same integrated wallet and compartments, but also enough space to also carry 2 small juice boxes and a spare infusion set. Maybe made of canvas or something durable (not nylon) to withstand everyday use.

I would want a bag that has a section for regular needs such as insulin pen, lancing device, meter, etc. I would have a separate section for emergency stuff like batteries, infusion set, syringes, etc. I think if the purse was a bit bigger with the middle section for needs like keys and glasses and the diabetes parts on the outside it would be better. I would do black for the color because it matches everything!

My bag would fit my Glucagon, my genteel lancing device , my test strips , my meter, extra pump supplies, Chargers for my Verio IQ meter and my pump, extra vile of insulin, needles, alcohol swabs , my dexcom/my phone , snacks, glucose tabs, cake icing for extreme lows and a medical ID card!!! And also for the color it would be teal and a light pink chevron print! Thanks Danica for doing what you do best

I would make sure it can contain one spare set of insulin pump supplies, meter lancing device and strips spare lancets and spare needle for filling my cartridge. My myabetic case holds all this plus a little more. It would be nice to also hold charging cables but I would need a slightly bigger case for that. Love the myabetic cases.

Hi Danica! My perfect bag would be a medium purse. I would have 2-3 compartments, one for diabetes, the other for misc phone, wallet, keys. My diabetes section would be insulated to keep the heat out and my insulin fresh, also a little compartment for a gel cool pack for my insulin I would have a pump set change, my tester, glucose tabs and of course anything I may need for diabetes throughout the day. I would have a couple colors light cream, dark brown and a fancy sparkly cream with purple zippers!
@mbgron1
@mbgron1 8 лет назад
I would make a purse that would be able to fit snacks, meters, glucagon, and pump supplies if you are on a pump. I would also add a spot with an ice pack or some type of cooling section so you could bring insulin with you and not worry about it getting too hot. Then, I would create an organized spot to put your wallet, a spot for your keys, and a spot for any other items like pepper spray! Lol! And lastly I would create a spot that has padding so you can put your sunglasses in it without them getting smashed. The color of the bag would be brown so you could wear it with any outfit!

Awesome! I've been looking at those bags for the past few days as well. The perfect diabetes bag would hold the essentials; meter, lancing device, test strips, a couple of insulin pens and needles. But I find that a diabetes bag should fit pump supplies as well, one pump set and a reservoir, just in case something happens. Oh, and a vial of insulin, too! I'd make the bag dark blue, 'cause that's my favourite color. Thanks for a good review, Danica!
@kylieolson6562
@kylieolson6562 8 лет назад
If I designed a diabetes bag, it would definitely be pink! It would be more like a cute purse like the myabetic except it wouldn't have the separate compartments like this one. It would open wide and have smaller pockets around the inside of the bag to keep my diabetes things secure such as snacks, glucose meter (and charger because I always forget to charge my meter at home!), glucose tablets, batteries for my pump, etc, and the middle part would be open to hold my wallet and keys and stuff (and pepper spray would totally fit in the bag too! :)
@marygilbert3498
@marygilbert3498 8 лет назад
My perfect diabetes bag would be GREEN!!!! and it would fit all the necessary things such as an infusion set, insulin, meter and test strips, smarties, glucagon, batteries, and be a wallet and can fit keys. Like a myabetic bag with the compartments but a bit bigger for the glucagon and just random general stuff. Anything that fits diabetic stuff is great!

@lindseym6043 8 лет назад
My bag would be designed to fit my meter, test strips, lancing device, lancets, alcohol swabs, glucose tabs/a snack, batteries, extra pump supplies, a syringe, and my dexcom receiver. It would also have an outside pocket to fit my phone, keys, and a wallet feature to hold money and ID/credit cards. The color of the bag would be black with a floral design on the outside pocket flap.
@SouthpawCrochet
@SouthpawCrochet 6 лет назад
My bag would hold an infusion set, batteries, tester, syringes, lancing device, extra insulin in an insulated pouch, snack, glucose tabs, logbook and have enough room for everyday items like makeup, chapstick, taser (stronger than pepper spray :) ) and a book, phone and what nots. As for color I would go with a neutral like black or brown leather so it would go with more outfits.

my ideal diabetes bag would be black (because black goes with everything). it would hold my meter, test strips, lancing device, a bottle of insulin, an extra infusion and cartridge for my pump, a place to store low blood sugar supplies like fruit snacks, a place to hold my wallet, keys, phone and sunglasses. oh, and some place for lipbalm, so maybe a little bit bigger than the one you reviewed.

My bag would be Diabetes Blue in color, and possibly have some sort of design on it stating (Diabetes T1 and such). It would carry my testing supplies, insulin, needles, batteries, extra pump supples, phone, wallet essentials, glucose tabs/drink, and possibly my Dexcom(if needed).

My bag would be able to fit an extra pump site, car keys, my iPhone 6 in an otter box. Big enough to hold a glucagon, snacks and have a wallet in it. mine would be a small/medium purse size, with the diabetic case on the side that folds down . that way you have a larger purse like middle for extras (keys, glasses, etc) and the one side with diabetic items. I'd like the other side to hold a phone (large phone). also definitely needs space for extra insulin pump supplies and mostly glucagon along with testing stuff. I'd like a nice camel/brown color. leather feel. This way you'd have a purse plus diabetic kit attached. Gluconeogenesis would be nice to have a specific area (like around the bottom ).

It would fit dexcom, meter, test strips, lancets, glucagon, insulin, glucose tabs and gel, syringes, pump supplies, alcohol pads, juice box, small snack, phone, keys, wallet. however since it would be for my son it would be a small backpack design and would be brown. but since he's still young and I carry all his supplies i'd have this bag in navy blue or brown

My ultimate diabetes bag would be able to hold a meter (PDM for omnipod), poker, lancets, wipes, extra infusion sets/pods, snacks, built in Frio insulin cooler, batteries, glucagon strips, syringes, ketone strips, and a wallet and phone type of pocket. love the bags. I'm a mom of a T1D and I would design a bag that would carry : a meter, poker, glucagon, test strips, snacks, a pump change cartridge, cgm reciever and cell phone. It would need to be easy for an 8 year old to wear. The color would be creamy orange or rainbow.

Mine would need to hold my blood test meter, finger pricker, pots of test strips, spare lancet cartridges, an infusion set, a reservoir, AA batteries, AA batteries, a bottle of Lucozade (the best thing for me to bring my sugars back up), vial of insulin, syringes, my phone, my purse, my diary (I'm old school and still use a paper diary rather than the one on my phone!), chewing gum, my keys, hairbrush and a lip salve...so basically I need a Mary Poppins bag lol. A bag with a bunny wabbit print on would be awesome :o)

My ideal diabetes bag would either be black, silver, or gold. It would be able to hold test strips, my meter, my lancet device (I have the genteel so it's a little big for a lot of bags), two extra Mio sites, extra syringes, extra insulin, two extra pump batteries, some cash, my cards and ID, and my phone. It'd also be pretty cool if it had one of those built in chargers. My friend had a wristlett that had a built in charger and that was pretty cool so that'd be great for my meter and my phone.

Did would get a blush colored bag because I feel like traditional diabetes staff are usually black, but the blush is really pretty. I would put my test strips, lancets, poker, glucometer, insulin pen,alcohol, a vial of insulin just in case, cartridge ,and reservoir. Plus my regular bag stuff like my wallet items, phone, eyeliner and mascara, and Chapstick . Oh and a mini notebook ... I just have to have everything lol

Now that I'm using a pump with cgm, I would design a Teal/Purple bag that would hold my pump supplies, insulin, a wallet for my medical alert card, ID, etc, meter and supplies, small tube of Betty Crocker white decorating gel (LOL, srsly for lows) but most importantly also be able to hold an extra CGM sensor (Dex G4). That seems to be the one supply that most bags have a hard time fitting b/c of the bulky pkging.

Hi Danica. My bag would have to have enough room for 0] Emergency Food (so don't forget it) 1] Paper (small notebook) for taking notes and a pen/pencil 2] Dexcom G4 sensor (in case it falls out) 3] Infusion set [see above] 4] Glucose Meter [for calibration and for when Dexcom makes no sense) a) Lancing Device b) Lancets c) Test strips 5] Alchohol and I'V' Prep swabs 6] Probably good idea to have contact info (BUT BE CAREFUL WITH CHILDREN AND CONTACT INFO) 7] Some may want a small carb chart if not on cell phone or controller 8] Room for a remote or controller for pump (if needed) I would love to get it in a bag that can be put into another thin bag (so I can have "skins" for it, but if have to choose one I really really want a cover that is Peter Max like (think the beatles Yellow Submarine, though he didn't do it) [it'll prevent it from being lost or misplaced]

For example, my meter, strips, lancets, syringes etc. I would also like to put a little pocket that's kind of like a lunchbox so that I can keep my insulin cool just in case of an emergency. I would love to have it available in any bright fun color and pattern because some days you just need to make diabetes fun! For me my favorite would be mint green. it would hold my wallet, phone, keys and all my diabetes supplies. I carry; tester, strips, poker, extra lancets, extra batteries for my tester, and extra strips if my bottle is almost out, a pump change insulin, syringes, keyton test strips, glucagon, an epi-pen, snacks,and an inhaler. I might go with purple or silver. Those are kind of my go-to base colors for everything I wear (well, purple and gray, but let's go shiny!), and they're happy, usually soft colors for me. I would want to keep my meter, test strips, lancing device, and extra lancets, phone (I use an app as my logbook), insulin pens with extra needles, glucose tablets and/or some gummy bears. I carry snacks separately anyway, but being able to keep one or two snack bars would also be good. I'm switching to a pump and CGM soon though, so I'm sure exactly what I need will change a bit. :3

I would design a bag to hold a couple of quick sets (which are a bit larger than mios), lancets, lancet device, insulin, syringes, test strips, alcohol swabs, batteries for my pump and meter, my meter, smarties for lows, and a nice sized pocket for some small card games I like to carry around, and I would make it pink ;)

My bag would be science or startek ( or other nerdy/geeky) patterned and would have pretty much everything the myabetic bag has but also would have a hard sided pouch for sharps!

My diabetic bag or case would be a crossbody in black so it goes with any outfit. It would be big enough to hold a glucagon of course, but small enough to be a crossbody. It would hold my insulin vials and extra syringes along with a pocket for extras like alcohol swabs or glucose tablets. A clear loop to hold the meter so you can test without taking it out and a loop for test strips. I would also include a zipper pocket to act as a discard pocket just in case you're at an area where you can't properly dispose of you waste. Since I'm not on the pump, that would all be ideal for me :)

It is such a cute bag but a little too small for me!! I need to have at least 2 sets and 2 reseviors, the insulin vial I am using, extra strips, and some snacks! Plus Usually keep some alcohol swabs and bandaids just incase. I also need to have some other meds like advil or motrin because I get headaches a lot!! But the bag itself is super cute esp for special occasions or dress up! Good luck with it!

My bag would be black or blush pink. It would need to fit my sets, my meter, strips, glucagon, needles, my insulin pen, phone, and wallet and maybe a low carb snack. Oh btw your videos help me when I was first diagnosed because I didn't know anybody with diabetes and you kinda guided me through the first weeks😊

I just ordered the gold wallet can’t wait to receive it!! 🙌🏼 I’m tired of having to carry both my wallet and diabetes case especially if I’m just running out to the store for a quick trip. Now I won’t have to carry my huge bag all the time. Thanks for the review and code

My bag would hold my glucometer, test strips, extra battery, insulin pen, needles, infusion kit, extra battery for pump, glucose, needles, and some form of snacks and/or glucose tablets. I would like a grey diabetes bag if I could choose.

if i could have a new diabetes bag, it would be fairly compact but would need to have room for glucagon, insulin pens and meter. it would need pockets for pen needles and lancets. it would eventually need to be suitable to carry and extra infusion set/pump batteries as i am transitiong to a pump soon. i would probably want a blushy pink color, no sparkles :)))

My ideal diabetic bag would be black so it would go with everything. i would like it to be a backpack kinda cute vintagy type that has many compartments to fit glucose tablets, extra sets and batteries and ketone and Bm machines. I would also like to have a larger bag but not too big that I can fit my phone and purse. That would be absolutely perfect!

It would definitely hold glucagon!😳 And the following: snacks (we use air head candies which are flat and don't take much space), 2-3 syringes, alcohol pads, pen needles (plenty), insulin pen, dex com receiver/phone, meter, lancets and device, insertion set, cartridge and batteries. Also a sleeve for most recent dosing info and name and contact. Would love to win for my 10yo t1Darling

My bag would be blue or green. It must have space for meter, test strips (I like to carry 2 strip containers), lancet device, lancets, fast acting sugar tablets, pump supplies, alcohol wipes, bandaids, and neosporin. I would carry my diabetic bag inside a purse for pepper spray, and red emergency kit and keys.

My bag would be blue and I would design it to hold my glucose meter along with test strips and my lancing device and I would have room for extra test strips and lancets. I would also have a section for an insulin pen because that's what I use and a compartment for snacks and a glucagon and that's pretty much what I would bring

My perfect bag would be black and it would hold my cell phone, keys, cgm receiver, insulin, needles, glucose tablets, tester, strips, lancing device, id, cards, pens, and checkbook. Love watching your videos and glad there are companies trying to make transporting diabetes supplies more fashionable. Thanks for the chance to win that bag.

OMG!!!! I love these bags!! My bag would be black because it pretty much goes with everything in my wardrobe. For me it would have to fit my meter and testing supplies, syringes, insulin, snacks, and a charger for my meter just in case.......... And of course the wallet because I am a busy T1D mommy so I have my kids insurance cards and let's be honest everything and everyone else's stuff stuffed in there too. I love these little bags I'm going to have to go to Target right now to see what I can find =)

Hey! My ideal bag would be able to fit my meter, test strips, lancing device, lancets, alcohol wipes, glucagon, glucose tablets, spare batteries for my meter, my insulin pen and spare needles. I would also really like it to have a transparent section which tells people my parents number in an emergency, and explains that I'm a diabetic! I would love it to be a muted, metallic lime green!

I am replying for my daughter. She would probably like either a purple or teal coloured bag. In her perfect bag she would be able to carry: BG meter, test strips, finger wipes container, lancing device, hypo treats, keytone strips, infusion set, glucagon, id & card spaces, money spaces, lip gloss, sunglasses, locker key and her phone.

Mine would include a plastic compartment for glucose tabs, and it would hold my cell phone, it would have a place for business cards, a place for a small flashlight, and it would be leather brown, have many pockets and it would be large enough to carry an ipad and Iphone. Oh yeah, it would have a strap big enough for a man (I am a man after all) and it would be value priced at around $150.00 to $200.00 oh yeah it would likely be sold by Fossil, which is much like the one i carry.
