Skippy looks good for his age. We have a quarter horse that is 35 and a pony that is 22. If you take care of them, they live a long time. Both were jumpers in english riding for the girls. So Skippy should enjoy the good footing.

A few hundred extra dollars upfront can really save thousands of dollars over the years. Doing it right the first time, in just about anything, ultimately saves so much down the road.

In future check out an industrial supply house. They carry that textile in a much heavier grade in twelve foot widths for much much less than those 'homeowner' style lightweight four foot rolls. Take care. Doug

I’m curious how this dry lot has held up I’ve the last 3 years. I have a 12’ x 36’ area in front of my shelter that I would like to do this. I would need to use a 2”-3” aggregate as a base layer because my mule likes to dig.

Where to buy the fabric? Cost? I have 3 Belgians in a sea of mud. Ohio. 23 tons and whadya get? Another day older and a little less wet 🎼

Time-lapse shot of a clock and a thermometer ...... with the usual backdrop of course? I have never laid a base down for a horse but I have done the membrane and MOT filler (under a block pave drive)....... Would it be an idea to compact it before the fines? As you say there is a Lot of force from a horse!It was bad enough to have one stand gently on my foot and lean against me squashing against a wall. I can imagine what that kind of force would do to a muddy substrate, and it would involve wellies ;0) Got to agree though ...... it Does look Good!
