I don't expect blushes to swatch that well. Our cheeks have natural red and highly impact how a blush actually looks on the face. I have several very light Korean blushes that look amazing on giving an ethereal affect but don't swatch well 😊
I know what you mean but this one definitely changed when I removed the shiny film. I’ve tested light blushes but nothing was as light as this before I took the top layer off ❤
@@exomake_mehorololo yes i do too but I haven’t tested a blush with a strange film on the top which totally changes the finish once removed. So the first swatch of this isn’t realistic. It’s actually much more pigmented when you get under the surface. I have very light blushes which will show up but are lighter on the face than this. If you use this one without getting beneath the top layer it hardly shows so I wonder if it was a faulty batch.
Both palettes look gorgeous, I do love both. But for whatever it's worth, I think the coral flame is STUNNING! I think it creaed a very classy and sophisticated wash of colors on the eye lid. I love it.
I’ve been agonizing over which glow maximizer to get. None of the shades seemed quite right for me until I saw Nude! It’s gorgeous and such a versatile shade. Great review ❤
The colors in this collection are really pretty! So weird that blush was putting on any color! But I am glad you figured out a way. I actually like the new quad with some brown.
They are beautiful colours aren’t they? Yes the blush is a strange one. It was like it was hard panned or had a seal over it and felt completely different to the normal formula until I took the surface off. I do wonder if this is a faulty, batch or if everyone will experience the same. ❤️
Thank you for the swatches of the new shade of the Dior glow maximizer! I was on the fence about getting the Nude shade since I just got the pink one but now I’m definitely getting it 🎉
The blush is tricky because you do really have to crank into it to get color. No need to worry about over doing it! i like your review approach❤ subscribing
Wow soooo pretty !!! Yes it is French, so it is soft. But I’m French and I like it 😊😊😊 hère elegant makeup has to look effortless and subtle, just different makeup cultural trends. When u had only one layer on the eyes is when I loved it the most !! 😍 I wish those colours suited my skin undertone cause I find the palet stuuuuunning !!!!!!!!!!
Wow, Hannah! I really like those eye shadow palettes on you. The satin finish is just beautiful with both color ways. I thought I was interested in that blush, but I don't want to have to work that hard. The lilac eye palette is reminiscent of the Chanel eye palette from last Spring. I have that one. The big surprise to me is the Coral palette. I thought it would be bright, but it's very wearable on Light skin. If I had money to throw at this launch I'd be tempted to get both eye palettes. Thanks for the video.💚
@@DeborahCarlstonmaybe it’s worth seeing what comes next from Chanel first? They are limited edition though so may not be around for long. I’d definitely sleep on it 😉
Thanks for this review on the Lilac blush. I've been trying to find something similar to a limited edition Mac blush I had Years ago. Hopefully we get this line soon- in the US.
You are very welcome and I do hope you’re able to get it soon. I did hear that the new eyeshadow pallettes are now available in the US so hopefully everything else will be too ❤️
@hanbeauty101 maybe the lilac eyeshadow palette? I'm not a huge fan of the glow blushes, they have that pH thing that turns my cheeks a weird color, I wish the color would just stay the color in the pan!
@hanbeauty101 yeah I sometimes end up looking like I applied way too much blush after about 10 minutes 😅 the lilac eyeshadow and the nude highlighter are the two best in the collection I think too!
Swatching could have caused that "hard pan" because of the oils on your fingers. Try removing the top layer with clear tape when it hardens over. But yeah, I would expect Dior not to be prone to that.
Thank you for your review. The blush and the glow maximizer look great, although one shouldn't put all that effort to make it work (the blush I mean). I was interested in the lavender palette, but I have the Soft Cashmere and the Plum Tulle in the old formula, which I think is so much pigmented than the new one, so I will skip these. Thank you for saving my money. 😘
I like the blush and the eyeshadow palette with the lavender they look beautiful on you. The nude maximiser and eyeshadow palettes aren’t available in Australia yet, I really hope we get them especially the nude maximiser glow. We got a Lilac lipstick I want to get, was that released there do you know?
They are beautiful, aren’t they? I did do a review of all of the maximiser shades in case you want to look at other colours before you buy them, but I do think this one is the best of the bunch. I do hope they come to you soon. I just checked on the website and there is a lilac lipstick in the Dior addict line that is limited edition. I personally find this shade isn’t very complimentary on me as it just makes me look a bit unwell. I have tried a lipstick in that shade before. If you have a slightly darker skin tone, maybe it would suit you better? ❤
Do the dior liquid highlights dry down? That nude is stunning but i was also looking at peachy for a blush. LE is the only hl ive been able to also wear over a powder base. I can’t wait for the rest to launch in the US, im looking into the bronzed shade for the blush and lip maximizer.
It doesn’t dry down to a powder, but it doesn’t stay sticky at all. It quickly drives down and is barely noticeable on the skin if you touch it after about 15 minutes. This is the best one I think as just a highlighter as it works with all make up looks. Peachy and Rosy are both excellent ones to use as a blush. ❤
@@hanbeauty101 thank you. I think that should work then as long as it sets down. That’s why I love the LE one so much because it doesn’t stay tacky and so few liquid and cream products stay in my rotation.
Have you compared the glow maximiser to any of the many other similar products? 😅I only saw rave reviews but no one speaking to how similar it is to the dozen other products like it.
I haven’t compared side by side. I’d say this is similar to the Lisa Eldridge one and slightly better than the Charlotte Tilbury wands. Dior are a bit late to the game so if you already have good liquid highlighters you don’t need these. They all work beautifully though and the step up from the rest is the colour range, I find peachy and rosy work as a glowy blush and eye shimmer ❤
@@hanbeauty101 there's even dozens more from mid range and drugstore. Lots of those look nice and smooth on the skin and you see zero difference on the face. I seem to be the only one who remembers that we already had this exact trend of liquid highlighters in a multitude of shades in 2016/2017😅... Including highlighters in squeezy tubes with puff applicators from NYX and Maybelline. Exact same thing as the CT... It's just a huge deja vu to me 😂
"An opening box injury" - you definitely wanted those Dior products. I'm going to be honest I didn't love any of them, nothing wowed me, esp. for the price.
Haha!! Yes I was overkeen when I knew it was Dior in the box! 😂😂. If I wasn’t buying for review I think the only thing I’d buy is the highlighter and maybe the Pastel eyeshadow quint as I loved those 2 ❤
