There is a NP cave with a mineral formation inside that looks like a KKK member under a white sheet and pointy hood. Bigger than life and actually has caused people to say it is a man-made statue
This is technically not Carlsbad Caverns, but rather Lechugilla Cave which is nearby and completely off-limits to tourists (it has locked iron bars over the entrance). Lechugilla is only used for research study and exploration, and actually has more miles of cave than Carlsbad and goes deeper. It has something like 120 miles of tunnels
The tallest mountain in texas is right over there. Its called Guadeloupe peak and it took us 9hrs to climb all the way up and back. Its about 7000 feet to the top and its one of coolest hikes that ive ever been on 👍
@@andyleo8418 that very well could be true but what also can be true is that it wasn't. Lol Just because u think it was doesn't mean that's what's in fact true. I wish there was a way to know for sure. If you can point me in the right direction to the proof it was made in a lab I'd love to finally see a inkling of proof.

@@melmac3464 made in Canadian lab. Rogue scientist and his wife stole from Canada and took to China since they had security clearance in both locations. They worked under different last names. Both were arrested but she was later released.
To go there I recommend the exposed volcanic areas inside Modoc National Forest. Visit the District Office for discovered lava cave information.. To cruise around the byway maze you need GPS to exit that forest on foot or wheels.
I was a seasonal ranger at Carlsbad Caverns Nationa Park in the late 70s. Lots of weird co-workers who liked to scare visitors with darkness, shadow jumping with flashlights. Way to weird for me. Chalked it up to experience on my SF-171 for future assignments.
Lol. When said that special precautions were taken I was expecting to see a picture of people in masks and hazmat type suits. Nope. Just a couple of sweaty, dirty guys in shorts and tshirts.
It's about 70-80 degrees F and high humidity (near 100%) in Lech, depending on where you are. Those pics probably weren't taken as they crossed over the delicate stuff. They likely donned all new clothes (or stripped bare if they had to swim) before crossing the lake.
The coolest thing about the caves is that despite them being very large, we have only explored a small percentage of them in order to preserve the natural state of them.
Both cool and annoying at same time. “We” meaning a very small select group of “scientist” types. We have the ability in 2023 to make these “sacred” places more accessible to the public without contaminating their precious underground environment. Even as a kid I thought this was asinine how there are prohibited areas. Makes me wanna explore on my own (:
@@Blake4625kHz Yeah I know that feeling, seeing the "off limits" hole at the caves piqued my curiosity like nothing else, but even the CO2 from breathing will mess with the natural environment. You could always become a biochemist with a background in technical caving to have a chance at it.
@@FlyGuy2000 True. However (and though not so much in the arena of spelunking) most of my ventures are technically trespassing, i.e abandoned mines, old factories, the mall where they filmed part of The Blues Brothers etc. Admittedly Carlsbad cave is and was intriguing but I’ve always since a kid had a natural disdain for the “hand rail” 😂. Also I have to be responsible nowadays and don’t explore like a young person. Saw a lot of cool stuff though and always had a friend to go with. I did go into one cave in Colorado by myself. Thankfully my friends were coming up the mountain behind me. I got wedged feet first in a crevice with nothing under my feet and every move I made got me more stuck till it was hard to breath. The danger in mines are false flooring and bad air usually. The danger in caves are the cave itself.
I love farting in there. Not because of the acoustics, but for some reason my fart will linger waay longer than normal. Like I'll cut a beefy one, then walk like ten feet away and watch the next group walk through my dust cloud.
@@Spearmint22425 was it bacteria? if it is how it's still alive? Considering the moon has no indigenous life being it bacteria or otherwise one would think any life brought from earth wouldn't live long up there.
Gee, Ace, NASA has already said people like me by exploring caves have already found new life, minerals, etc. USA Space Cadets agree USA organized cave exploration has apps for our species. On moons and other planets. Feel free to await what NASA experts think about your contributions up to the present date. I helped find Saber-tooth Tigers and I'm still seeking prehistoric cave art of the Homo floresiensis.
I remember going to Carlsbad in the 60's as a child. The tour guide at the time shut the lights out to show how dark it was. He had a flashlight and said he was leaving us down there. I started to cry thinking we would never get out, hahaha. The Poor guy felt bad, and apologized. Wish I could go back now and see it again as an adult. Would love to see the things I missed as a child.🙂
I’m so jealous, because nowadays whenever a tour guide does that, you just see everyone’s phones and camera flashes 😩. At least that’s what happened to me at Mammoth cave in the 2000s.
actually this find is safe, its in Lechguilla cave, which is tightly locked down. Since it was discovered in the 80's, less then 100 different people have been inside it
> Research team sent in to take samples > Researcher falls into pool > Researcher says he's ok, just some goo > Team leave and check samples > Researcher who fell starts to have Symptoms > Researcher succumbs to the bacteria and infects *Cheap horror Movie potential*
Back in the late 50’s my sister got a 3D viewer for Christmas. The 2 cards to view were of Carlsbad Caverns. It was so amazing compared to the delta area of flat East Arkansas
Have you been to Mammoth Springs? You are only a couple of hours from very interesting sites, including the flora at Crowley's Ridge. It is highly unusual and has a fascinating history. I used to teach school at Hughes, BTW.
Visit Devils Den State Park and inquire about Arkansas caves. Park caves may still be closed to save their bats from the so- called White Nose Syndrome. Something that people have by accident or with perverse intent did infect caves.
well it's 1' wide, 2' long, and several inches deep. I usually don't call that a pool, per se, but a puddle. As long as no one touches it and comes out a zombie, i'm good.
What amazed me was the elevators to exit and a cafeteria, at the bottom . Is it still open ? , this was my prime reason to visit NM, followed by Roswell , then discovered the city of rocks , like a Dali painting, cat walk canyon , Ice caves , white sands, etc a very underrated state tourist wise, travelled all the way from Inverness Scotland ,to see it !
We, in our late 50’s walked to the bottom and back up due to the elevator being out of order the day we visited. Quite a workout but nice cool temperature and worth the effort. If you ever find yourself in southern New Mexico by all means spend a day there.
Imagine if some accidentally contaminated the pool or even worse, fell in.. then we could have some wild mutated monster situation... or at least a cool idea for a new horror movie lol

Thanks for the name and I looked it up The Nuremberg Code The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved, as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that, before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject, there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person, which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment. The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity. The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature. The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study, that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment. The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury. No experiment should be conducted, where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects. The degree of risk to be taken should never exceed that determined by the humanitarian importance of the problem to be solved by the experiment. Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability, or death. The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment. During the course of the experiment, the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end, if he has reached the physical or mental state, where continuation of the experiment seemed to him to be impossible. During the course of the experiment, the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgement required of him, that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject. have you ever looked at a picture that is presented as being a real image but your brain is screaming"that's a model!"?? Like the scale models they used to make for explosion scenes in movies before cgi?? my brain tells me that image of the "pool" is a miniature model. ooffff course🙄 I'm wrong but it feels that way.
A friends of my dad discovered a cave in the Amazon so big, that you could fit a mall in there at about 1000 feet deep. He died and never told anybody where it was. He took pictures of it.
Visited White City/Carlsbad Caverns and then drove to White Sands. You start in scrub desert and then go through ski country that looks like Colorado and windup in the white sands all in a few hours.
Nothing odd about it, once you realize that your devices listen to you everywhere you go, and then direct advertising at you based on what you say, write, text, view, etc. when near those devices.

“…bacterial colonies that evolved WITHOUT human presence!” ….okay? So were bacteria unable to evolve before humans were around? That line made me crack up, it means absolutely nothing 🤣
Unless they were wearing hermetically sealed suits then they introduced trace amounts of their bacteria The only way to ensure is to stay away but try telling a human being "that place isn't for you" for a reason other than "you'll get hurt", and you'll likely have no luck in preventing them
