That’s the type of privilege I wish I had. I had to smile while others with less experience were promoted. I know the South has overt racism, but other states does it more covertly, but it’s still the same. They decided to no longer hide it, and told me that the budget was short and they let me go. I scored 97 of 100 points and had the most experience, but certain people would tell me that they didn’t want me assisting them, because they believed I got my job through affirmative action. Actually. The McMichaels when interviewed by responding officers at the scene gave their statement. Neither him nor his son ever mentioned that they were acting under the Georgia Citizens Arrest Law. It was District Attorney Barnhill who inserted that in his opinion letter regarding the incident - just a tactic used as an excuse to help keep the McMichaels out of trouble. Its funny because many in Georgia law enforcement says that law is so obscure they rarely ever seen it used. Besides, you'd think an investigator for the District Attorney's Office would follow Georgia mandated law & keep himself certified. What's the excuse? Peace officers in all 50 state's must maintain their qualification through annual firearms training and other courses. He went year after year after year. That shows how crooked he and the District Attorneys office are.

I will say though, the title says new discovery within the background of the guy and that’s what it was about so it wasn’t really misleading. Does it help a certain narrative? I guess but not going to governor mandated training, that would’ve certainly helped him in a situation like this, does kind of give you an idea as to why his decision making wasn’t 100% on point that day, despite being a retired investigator. I get what you’re saying, the media does what it does but it’s pretty obvious these 2 guys reacted very poorly to a situation that didn’t really call for their assistance, and even though it led to someone dying, their connections were still strong enough to protect them up until the video came out. That’s assuming they get convicted which I’m not really sure they will based on this country’s history.

I took some classes from one of the top trainers in conceal carry. He also trains federal police in other countries. Over his career he has testified in over 1000 cases. One of the first things he said is to always flee the scene when you can. Only resort to deadly force when there is no other choice. He was a man who when he was in the military was part of a team who protected U.S. dignitaries. That was coming from a incredible qualified person. The best way to stay out of trouble is to avoid it. My dad told me that as a kid and I was told that in a conceal carry class by an expert who is also a competitive shooter. I seriously doubt they had any proof of that young man stealing anything. If they did it was none of their business. It is up to law enforcement to take care of that.

Whether or not they were caught makes a big difference. You have no evidence he was ever in a gang, but keep lying to try and justify his murder if that makes you feel better. The people responsible for his death are going down. Get over it.
@Ok BoomerSpeeding is against the law. Running a red light or a stop sign is against the law. So is littering. So WE ALL have been guilty of being a criminal at some point in our lives. IJS 😬
