Ok I Love all your organization videos. My question is what do you do when you don’t have all the shelving you would/like need but want to store and organize. What do you consider when trying to get easy shelving. I’m a single income with a teen and toddler. Unfortunately when we bought our home it wasn’t something we thought about till the deed was done!
@@andreamiller7735 I am a huge fan of the container concept. I am watching this for organizing. For decluttering I was amazed by Decluttering at the Speed of Life by Dana K White. I listen to her podcast to. Its A Slob Comes Clean. The container concept is reducing what you have to fit the space you have. Every box, drawer, shelf, closet...etc is a container.
@@alicet7269 That's a shame they think that. But as long as HE thinks you're good enough for him, then that's what matters most, as far as I'm concerned. You're in a relationship with him, not them. You are enough, and maybe even then some. 🤗
"Less is Peace" hit me between the eyes like a tidalwave. Seriously, the resonance. You just gave me my words to live -- or declutter -- by. Thank you for that simple, yet powerful and profound clarity, and for all the inspiration your videos give, dear Kathryn.
“If it’s not for everyday, it’s in the way” is a great quote. However, some things are worth keeping for sentimental reasons too. I like the idea of minimalist living, but I’m honestly glad I didn’t do it earlier. I lost my mom when I was 11, and dad and stepmom at 21. I hung onto every special thing that reminded me of them. I also had a very hard time not keeping every gift, card, drawings, etc. from my kids. My 22 yr old daughter died in a car accident in February. I’ve been going through things the last few months as I was in the process of moving into a new apartment. My daughter used to love writing little notes to me when she was younger and still at home (tons of them!) and also liked to hide some for me to find later. I can’t begin to tell you how much I treasure each one now, and my heart skips a beat when I find one. Please remember to keep sentimental things too, or at least take a picture of some of the things if you can’t keep them. You’ll thank yourself some day.
@Daisy Mae...I am with you on sentimental things. Just lost my mom in October 2020 and I couldn't bear to part with many things. I told myself that it's okay and when I am ready, if I want to, I can part with them then. My 21 year old wanted all of the cards that were given to my mom. As she requested, I brought them all home. Blessings to you on your grief path as only you can move through it.
“If it’s not for everyday, it’s in your way” 🤯😱👏🏻 I’m adopting this into my life!! I’m in the process of decluttering before we move into a new home and I will be using that saying EVERY DAY! Thank you!!!
@@marielittle690 I also love how she doesn’t just have a lot of sponsored videos. She truly loves what she is doing and not just for money and views. She and Cass from Clutterbug are the very first you tubers I ever watched. I have watched Catherine from the beginning when she was a teacher and had Luna:) I wonder what happened to Luna??
Kathryn - it's always so therapeutic to watch your videos!! Your blessed with a creative mind!! I have been a regular viewer for the past few years now.. I love how you provide all the important useful tips and yet you manage to keep your videos short and crisp! Even more than your tips (which I LOOOOVE), I get inspired by your personality! I pray that may God bless you and your family in a very special way. AMEN!! 🙌 🙌
I love that saying "if you don't use it everyday, it's in the way". We are a family of 4 in a cozy 2br house and your videos have helped me tremendously. Thank you!
I look forward to seeing your videos every day! I had a not so good day at work today. I basically had a meltdown but eventually it got better. But during my lunch I got the notification of this video & I was so happy. I waited until I got home to watch it. Which was a good thing because when you said "if no one has told you, you are enough" I cried. It was a good cry though. Thank you for what you do & being so inspiring to others & making complete strangers feel good again. 😊
"If it's not for everyday, it's in your way!" Awsome slogan! Congrats to your friend for downsizing! So glad you helped. Loved the reusable baggie idea (4:01) for vertical storage in a drawer.
For bathroom under the sink cabinets, I use an over the door 2-shelf hanger. You hang it on the inside of the cabinet. It's great for smaller bottles, brushes, soaps, deodorants and lots more.
this is by far the best organizing i have seen.. the most realistic kids room.. random toys and no matching items.. nothing was wasted, hidden or thrown away just to look instagramable... great job
Ok but can we talk about how great of a friend this woman is, you are truly aspiring to me. Such a lovely kind woman. Thank you for sharing yourself and your talents with all of us. 💕
I wish I had a friend like you in my life, Kathryn! Not to organize (though your videos help with that, too), but because you seem so genuine, warm, and kind. Whenever I am having a down day, I like to watch your playlists as I find your energy so soothing. 💖
Okay, this is SO random, but that family had the book "The Goat in the Rug" which is so obscure and I didn't know anyone else had read/owned it! Anyway, it's a favorite from my childhood and I now read it to my kiddos. 🤗
Thanks for your commitment to make our world more peaceful. We just sold our house and downsized to an RV...all while my Dad went into Hospice care. We had to clean out his house in addition to ours. We donated a lot of food, clothes, games, everything. We have two college kids...one who came on our summer trip. We needed to get a storage unit for the extra car & stuff. Although we managed decluttering & reorganizing pretty well, we now have to do the same thing for our 100-year old summer camp. I've been living in a state of overwhelming clutter, sort, donate, throw away, for 3 months. I'm looking forward to the day when everything has a place and everything is in its place. My Dad just passed a few days ago, so doing all of this is difficult. Your video encourages me to keep on going. May God bless you and your family 🙏.
Amazing that you’re almost to 2 million subscribers! I remember when you were so excited about 100,000 Subscribers. Thank you for being authentic, honest, and real & spreading the light! You are amazing!
Absolutely one of the best organizing jobs I’ve seen so far....full time RVers need the most help! Keep it up girl I love your videos- much love from Texas-kristi
I remember when Kat said everything you own actually owns a piece of you too this is so true! I’ve donated so much stuff and I feel so free and organized, I can’t thank her enough!
You have taught me so much! I’ve been a subscriber of yours over a year, and I cannot tell you how often I’ve utilized your systems, advice, and encouragement. You are the total package of fun, engaging, hilarious, and real. Thank you for using your gifts and passion all for God’s glory. It matters. You matter.
They were very lucky you were there to help them organize. Having a home organized is one thing but this HAD to be everything in the right place. Great job.
I SO ENJOY HER VIDEOS!! It's like listening to a motivational speaker!! Her bubbly personality makes me feel joyful & happy.. Plus I get great inexpensive organizational tips that actually work!! THANK YOU & KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO! You ARE enough 😉🤗
I love that you spoke about encouraging yourself while you tackle an organization project. I couldn't agree more with you about it being ok to change your mind and realizing or accepting that how you organize something the first time may not work efficiently for you and it's okay and sometimes fun to go back to the chalkboard. Thank you for another inspiring video always great work!
WOW! This is inspiring me to FINALLY get a handle on the upstairs bathroom. I love the mantras: "If it's not for every day, it is in the way" and "Is it necessary?"
This is an overdue comment, but I want to thank you for your videos. Not only are they informative but inspirational. I will be moving out of one apartment into another and need all the little shortcuts that I can get. Thank you so much for all that you do. May you continue to be a blessing.
I'm so happy you are sharing this! We are in the process of moving out of a 2100 sqft house in to an RV. So much to rethink and figure out how to make every inch useable space. These videos have been helpful. Thank you!
@@marysaltlife1427 I wouldn’t say “loving “ it, but it’s worth it to be debt free and own our home. We have another 6 months to a year in the RV and the house will be livable. It’s 1100 square feet.
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas with all of us. I love your upbeat, happy, humoris personality. You always encourage me and put a smile on my face.
Kathryn you make me feel great and motivate me so I can do anything. If no one has told you lately “ you are enough “. Can’t wait for your next video. Love y’all !!!!!! ❤️❤️🥰
Yaasss!!! THIS! 👏🏻 We have 5 people in our family, living in a teeny, tiny old house. Our bathroom is a different layout, but for sure as small as the RV one, with NO STORAGE! This gives me some ideas! Thanks for sharing, Kathryn! 🤗 And glad 3PO, Elmo, and Bob could help! 😉
thank you for this video!! I just bought my first home - a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage that is just 916 sqft and my mission for my first house is to get organized and stay that way! “less is peace” is going to be my new mantra for this! ❤️
We love you Kathryn!! Thank you for sharing your videos with us! You are an inspiration to all of us!! De-cluttering is hard.. but you are right!! less is peace!! God bless you!! 🤗🤗❤️
Hi Kathryn, Thanks for the organizing tutorial. My husband and I live in a small 2 bedroom one bathroom mobile home . We are expecting our first baby girl to arrive October 16, by God’s grace . So I was looking for space saving ideas and how to organize my small space and maximize storage ! I have trouble with decluttering and tend to hold on to things , so this was so encouraging!! Please keep the small space tutorials coming and any advice on how to prepare a baby nursery or organize a small trailer would be so great !! Thank you 😊 You have great ideas !! Love the less is more motto !!!
If it's not for every day, it's in your way! I live in a small house and this is so true. I have 2 teen boys and 2 rambunctious cats and just found out we have to make room for 6 5-gallon water jugs for water service because our water is contaminated so we are trying to pare down but it's really really hard! When you're poor you can't replace stuff later if you let it go. I'm a single mom so seeing this tiny space organization has really inspired me! Thank you
I LOVE those little white baskets. I've had mine fir many years and many moves. Hubby and I were military, so it helped to have little baskets like that because we never knew what the space was going to look like and it was imperative to me that everything be organized. Now we're in our forever home, and I had been struggling with the idea of getting rid of them, but after watching your channel, I found a use for them in my kitchen. LOVE this channel!
I just wanted to say that my favourite part of your videos is how real and normal they are. No need to over spend, keep up with Jones. Just work with what you have and create systems that work not aiming for Pinterest perfection.
I'm so happy to find this channel. Me and my boyfriend are stressed out about our rooms and don't know what to do. Your tips saved us from the decluttering stress 🥳
I agree…..less is peace. I have noticed when I am organized….I spend less money! I think….where will I put this? & most of the time I realize I do not need it. Thank you Katherine! You keep me motivated. God bless you sweet lady. ♥️♥️
So good that I took notes AND watched it again!! I totally didn't miss that it's okay if your organizing is not permanent. I like that these solutions you provide are budget friendly and really help to plan for downsizing and portability. I imagine my next move will go sooo much smoother because of these ideas you share. And as someone mentioned before, "You are enough!" I think I am addicted to hearing you say that and appreciate you for your genuineness.
I really needed this video. We are a family of 4 living in an RV. This gave me motivation to declutter. I can't wait to see the difference when I'm done.
I just finished watching you on the chit chat show with Jamie. It was fun. My favorite to watch is dollar tree hauls and DIYs. That said, I still watch all your content. You have such great tips and tricks. 💕💕💕
My step daughters mother showed me years ago this neat way to fold & tuck under ware & it has been a godsend. I don't fold my under ware or husband or kids any other way now. Its hard to explain how to do it its best to show you but its great.
Thank you so much for all of the organizational tips and encouragement! I was on vacation last week, and the first two days I spent doing stuff I didn't want to, "swallowing the frog" 🐸 as you would say. I'm glad I did because then it was off my mind and I could spend the remainder of the time on fun stuff, well mostly. 😄🤗
Kathryn, I am so in love with ur videos. Been watching u since years ago. Nowadays im becoming a minimalist. I declutter more and spend less. I used to buy all sorts of organisation products but they bcome too much for my space. Somehow they made wanna spend more to FILL the space. That is why i wanna be a minimalist
I Love, Love, Love, Love, Love this video! Fitting things in small spaces is sooo satisfying! Those reusable bags organized vertically rocked my world. I love that they are all living in this space for their grand adventure!!
My husband and I and 8 year old are talking about downsizing into a little 2 br apt while we fix up and sell our 1600 Sq foot home. I love love love the RV videos. They give me hope while trying to decanter and maximize our opportunities in about half the space lol
I love your tips, I'm currently trying to give myself a pep talk to declutter my new house I just moved in. It's on the small side with literally two closets max to work with. So this really helps. And knowing that "I am enough" makes me feel worlds better. Wish me luck 🖤
