I ended up playing with the metallic brights today & discovered that the yellow shimmer is TOP NOTCH. Absolutely beat out my 2 other yellow shimmers, including one from a $25 palette. I used the LAC matte highlighter crayon as a base & WOW I look good haha! But srsly, the BI palettes are crazy inconsistent. Normally that irritates me, but I don’t mind paying $1.25 for a set of 2-4 shades that really WOW or fill a need in my collection color story. The metallic brights palette has at least 5 shades that go on smoothly & look great on my lids - considering that I have deep set, hooded eyes, a bony face & strong brow (shades my eye area), AND a strong glasses Rx that causes noticeable distortion. When a pale yellow shade pops on me, take it seriously heehee! I set it with LaMercerie setting spray, another DT winner (beat out every high end one I’ve tried, has PVP but no alcohol, says matte but moisturizing w natural finish). The BI palettes have some dud shades but I encourage giving them a try. Experiment with different bases, brushes & boosters like mixing medium. A really great smooth, silky matte in your skintone UNDER the BI shades does wonders (Robert welsh tip!) to help them blend nicely while keeping the color strong. Honestly, bang for my buck, the BI palettes are stellar. Only peachy nudes really frustrated me, as the good shades are dupes of others I own, but I’m fine with retiring it to the play makeup box for kids or art projects. Tbh I reminded myself NOT to buy it, because I owned every shade in it 2x+, but I forgot when it came back a Cpl months later & bought it on a whim. As I was using it I remembered why I hadn’t already bought it lol, so it’s 100% on me 😂

I think it does well! I generally dont have oily eyelids tho so my shadow isnt a huge problem for me but I like it! 🤗

@@JessicatheDollarDivaadmittedly, this did teach me a lesson lol… definitely trying mascara to glue lashes up next time, instead of cutting. Prob plucking is even better but ideally leaving them attached to my face 😂

They’ve come back three different times in my town! I got the pink & metallic ones right when the first came out, the peach one about a month ago, and the pastels yesterday. I don’t go more than once a week, and I aim for 1-2x a month unless I’m stocking up on something specific. All that to say, you’ll probably see these again

You save some of us a lot of money (esp when we replace a spendy routine basic with $1.25 item!) and you help many who currently don’t have budget for higher priced products. Dollar Tree makeup can be so inconsistent, it’s really hard to know what’s good, especially for beginners. This channel, unlike 99% of makeup content, is an actual service and genuine resource. We appreciate your hard work for us, on top of your other jobs! 😊 It helps me & I love seeing comments esp from younger folks who are building a DT collection & having the chance to enjoy what their wealthier friends take for granted.

And what I put in my makeup back is a mixture of things I love and things I want to try to use up 🤗 I really should make a video! Lol

Omg that concealer! I absolutely hate concealers, I finally got a really nice one that looks amazing, but it was boxycharm so I can’t afford the usual $30 price. I have at least 3 drugstore concealers rn, I really was doubtful the b pure would work for me, but it’s gorgeous! I seriously replaced a yensa & tarte duo of under eye products with a $2.50 set 😂😂😂 I win!!!!! 🏆
