The coloring books always get me at DT. I sure wish they were still $1, but they do have the best selection around. I guess that’s worth an extra quarter 😂

I really loved those paperback books, the giraffe and monkey in particular. I can’t get that monkey book off my mind 😂. Denise, it always seems like a lull to me lately. Back before they went up in price, I used to be able to go every week, even a couple of times a week and find new stuff every visit. Now, it seems that I need to wait and only go every other week and drive all over town to see anything new. It’s very frustrating. I actually had footage of a lot of other things from several weeks ago that I was collecting. I just wasn’t seeing enough to make a video, so I left a lot on the cutting room floor, because I felt it was too old to include as new 😏. TFW friend.

Thanks, Tracy. I saw them at one of my stores on Wednesday. They were in with the summer toys. I wonder if they’re only going to carry them during the summer? If you have a Five Below near you they also carry 24 count marbles with a shooter, but for only $1. They are usually upfront in the dollar stuff.

I think so, too. When I moved into my house 8 years ago, I replaced some of the bulbs in light fixtures with DT LED bulbs and they are still going strong. I’ve been slowly replacing all the incandescent bulbs, as they burn out, with DT LED bulbs. Now all the bulbs in my house are LED from DT. 😁

I have not heard anything like that. Other than competition, DT and DG have nothing to do with each other. They are two separate companies owned by two separate entities. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There was no notation on the bear soap as to whether or not it was mild. It just said bath soap.

Ha, I totally get it. I used to listen to a lot of the opinions shared on social media about what should and should not be sent in OCC shoeboxes. It made me conflicted and confused and downright crazy! It made me forget who we are packing the boxes for. Yes, we are ultimately packing them for kids, but we are first packing them for Operation Christmas Child by their guidelines, not the guidelines set forth by the general public on social media. Operation Christmas Child has no issues with sending food related toys and images. Keep in mind that it is not listed as a “do not send” item on their website, plus I have contacted them directly to inquire more specifically regarding this subject and they said “good to go - pack it“. The only gift suggestions I listen to now are the ones posted directly on the Samaritans Purse official website for Operation Christmas Child. If you are concerned that a child in another country may have never seen or tasted a strawberry or an apple or whatever, it doesn’t matter. It’s a cute gift just for them, sent by a total stranger, that they will love and cherish, no matter what it is. Keep in mind that you run into the exact same situation with animals. There are many stuffed animals that we send to other countries where that animal doesn’t exist in that country. The same with sending a fishing kit. Many other countries fish in different ways, with different types of equipment and/or hooks, than we fish in the United States and they fish for different types of fish. So the hooks that we send them are for specific fish found here in the states or from whatever sending country, however the receiving country doesn’t have those fish in their waters. The same with flowers. Not all species of flowers grow in all countries. The same with birds. I could go on and on. Since we do not know where our shoeboxes will end up, we can really make ourselves crazy, so yes, we need to stop overthinking it and trust in God. He will get each shoebox to just the right child for us. I hope this helps. 🥰
