Dang Donald! Looks like it’s fairly straight, fast, flowy! Some serious momentum. Looks fun!

It was a ton of fun! Your video from Bean Peaks looked pretty similar, I'll have to get down there to check that out soon.

Thank you for show casing Arizona trails so well! I recently rode at Hawes for the first time and hit Big Sister twice. I heard your comment on a video saying it may be your favorite trail and I agree, it is so much fun. Now I want to get up to Flag and ride this one!

I rode medl last summer... really enjoyed that area and the exposure on some of the trails.

I was up there over the weekend. I ended up not riding any trails. I decided to finally climb the Elden Lookout Road on my gravel bike and another gravel ride down by Mormon Lake. Had I known about this one, it may have changed my mind. I suppose I will have to make another trip up from Tucson soon.

Was Elden Lookout Rd all clear of snow and dry to the top? I haven't done that climb since fall, but was debating it for this weekend.

@@DonaldRidesBikes Yeah, it was totally dry up there.

If you get the chance, Full Sail, on a graveller, is a hoot! But it is better on a MTB. With the rain coming in this week, there's a strong change for hero dirt.

It’s easily my favorite trail in flag but damn it’s a beast of a climb to get up there. I’m looking forward to the road opening back up to be able to session the trail or just be able to do a quick ride after work.

this looks like a great trail in the pines. Last time I was in Flag years ago seemed to just be all technical climbs. guess i was in the wrong areas

They've built a lot of new trails, and rerouted some old ones, just in the last year or two, so if you haven't ridden Flag in a few years, you may be pleasantly surprised!

I love your vids! Great work. Question: what tires do you run on your neuron? Thanks!
@DonaldRidesBikes
@DonaldRidesBikes 19 дней назад
Thanks! I've been running 2.6" Minion DHRs both front and rear for about a year now. I tried Dissectors on my Roscoe this summer and like those better though, so I may do the same with the Neuron soon.

Awesome video. What are the settings on your 360 camera? Do you have the sharpness at medium or low? what's the EV? I can't get mine to look as clear as yours.
@DonaldRidesBikes
@DonaldRidesBikes Месяц назад
Thanks! It's actually not a 360 camera, just a GoPro Hero 11. I'm running 5.3K, 30 FPS, Hyperview, -1.0 EV Comp, 1600 Max ISO, 5500K White Balance, and low Sharpness.

Nice ride! thanks for sharing! are there any wildlife/mountain lions there that I should be worried about?
@DonaldRidesBikes
@DonaldRidesBikes 2 месяца назад
I know there are mountain lions and black bears in this area, but I've been riding here for almost 3 years and never seen either one, so probably not something you need to be too concerned about.

One of the crew building Full Sail saw a mountain lion repeatedly. But during the day, unlikely to have an issue.

Love your videos and this trail looks flowy as can be. But I’m kinda confused by them making everything rollable but then putting in bypasses. Isn’t that the point of rollable
@DonaldRidesBikes
@DonaldRidesBikes 2 месяца назад
I think the bypasses are to make the trail rideable for as many people as possible. I know when I first started riding, I would have been intimidated by some of those rock rolls, but still would have enjoyed the rest of the trail. It also gives people options to progress on the same trail - take the bypasses a few times, gain the confidence to try the rolls, and eventually start airing off them instead of rolling.

Looks like Full Sail isn't on trailforks yet. Do you have strava or anything so I can see your route? I'm headed that way this weekend.
@DonaldRidesBikes
@DonaldRidesBikes 2 месяца назад
It's on Trailforks - I put a link in the video description! I've been using the web version lately instead of the app, and it shows up there just fine. On the app though, I can see the trail name marked in the correct spot, but the actual path of the trail is missing, even after I manually resync the region.

Where do you park and how much do you have to pedal to get to full sail ?
@DonaldRidesBikes
@DonaldRidesBikes Месяц назад
I parked at the lower Schultz Creek trailhead, and from there the full ride was 15.6 miles with 1,760 feet of elevation. You could also park on Elden Lookout Rd just before the gate, and you'd get to Full Sail quicker, but then at the end of the ride you'd have to pedal back up 2-3 miles on the road, so it would be about the same distance and elevation overall.
@rickmorty3689

Bro, that heavy breathing into the microphone!!! 😳

It's four miles of standing out of the saddle, and dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome. That's after about a five/six mile climb to get to it. The trail is fun, but it ain't easy, and getting to it is even more difficult. Give the fella a break since he made such a great video. Instead of these types of comments, I find it is more helpful to provide comments on what you like rather than what displeases you. I hope your peddle smashing is strong, and you get to ride hero dirt rather than moon dust. 🤘

@@ccdog76Relax chief, overall the video was great! The loud breathing was really distracting. Maybe just move the microphone a few inches further away!
