Thank you for the great information. I just started my first square diamond painting. I will say I am paying alot more attention to drill placing as opposed to round drills. I have not completed enough to decide whether I'm going to like square drills or not.

Hi Jo-anne! That’s great! I’m glad you are wnjoying squares! I think I’ll always prefer rounds, but lately the artwork I love, (especially Anne Stokes,) only comes in squares!! 🤦♀️🤷♀️. Soooo, I use a ruler whenever I do a canvas with squares, and I can get it finished! 😅. Let me know your preference after you complete your current canvas! Have a good rest of your week! 😁💜👍🏻
I bought the rulers and have never used them, it looks like the same set. When doing squares I use a straightener as I go…except for the one time the canvas was double sided tape and that was long grueling days of tweezers when I realized they couldn’t be shifted,lol

great learning video Wendy , never tried square drill before but it does seem a lot of hard work 😊 but who knows I may try one in the future , does using square drills make the canvas " pop " out more, you know stand out ? when can people vote over there , are you doing it in person or online , anyway hugs to you and the Dragonites out there xx
Hey, Donna! The nice thing about square drills, is they bring out more detail than rounds, and you don’t see any of the rendered image behind them, as you do with rounds. The shine of the diamonds is also more of an overall shimmer effect, rather than a “twinkly” effect! Definitely try one at your leisure! 😁.
