Hey Girl! Jen Phelps did a review of some new Elf makeup last week, I think, and she applied the bronzing drops right on her face. So I was surprised when you mixed it with yr moisturizer. She probably didn’t read the directions….but she applied them sparingly and had nice results! If you can find her video, give it a look. Your hair is getting so long. I like it!

@GlitzyFritzy I didn't feel so bad hearing you and a couple others talking about how hard the blush is to blend. I've used a dense brush for blush for years. I finally learned with these that I have to use a fluffy blush and BARELY tap.

Hi Mary those NYX products are highly pigmented 😂 and my pasty white self is avoiding them like the plague 😂. The Elf foundation is very yellow in the pale shades and I don’t need another foundation anyway. I don’t do bronzer anything including drops😂. The sun gloss I might try however. Best wishes x

Somebody else was saying the foundation looks yellow on them as well...I don't have that in MY shade but I suppose it could have a tinge of it since I'm neutral and it's just not showing up that way? Curiouser and Curiouser....I bet it definitely wouldn't work for you though and FOR SURE you wouldn't like those NYX Buttermelts LOL

Hi , Mary. How about trying a small fluffy highlight brush or large eyeshadow blending brush to apply high pigment blush? I've only been using a very large eyeshadow blending brush for my cheeks. It makes it so much easier to put the blush right above my cheekbones and not on the apples of my cheeks. Depending on the formula, I do the same with my bronzer. I have multiple, large, eye brushes and fewer of the more expensive face brushes. I think the blush color looked good on you and hope you will try again. I really like the updates on the products you use, especially how they wear. Voice overs don't bother me at all. I hope that you have a great weekend 💖💖

Ooooo my AC is at 70 and if I could afford it, it would be at 68! I love walking in from 98° and feeling the cold. Plus, it's great for sleeping! How nice of someone to send you 75 buckaroos! ❤ You are definitely worth it! I just got 2 new palettes. Colourpops Precious Metals and Natasha Denona Gold something. Love them, but I wish I'd gotten another I Need A Nude palette. You look great! I have DBronzi drops from Drunk Elephant. Think I'll take that on vacation! You look fabulous! Love ya~ lori

Love this entire look! Our weather went from 96 degrees to 76 in about 30 minutes & with the high winds & clouds blowing in was worried a tornado or bad hail was coming! We didn't get either praise God as our apple trees are loaded this year!! We've lost them to baseball hair before so am glad so far! 🤠

Really pretty look. I have the Physician’s Formula bronzing drops. I like them when used lightly. OMGosh you are not kidding about the heat in Indiana. Yesterday was SO hot at 90+ degrees and 92% HUMIDITY! I couldn’t even sit outside and listen to music, which I love to do. The heat chased me inside several times yesterday, but today is OHHHH SO beautiful at 72 degrees.

I use that setting spray and love it! Just drench your face then tap it with a sponge to press it in. It's not too dewy.

Yeah, Elf does great with brow pencils. I still like the Wet N Wild one, too, and even the Cover Girl pencils! Still think Laura Mercier and Lancome pencils are the best, however. All I do is darken my brows; no caterpillar drawing and very little shaping. Might try the Elf sunscreen gloss, though I'm still a fan of the Babo sunscreen lip balm when I want color!

I get what you mean about A/C, Mary! My mother (may she rest in glorious peace!) was so jaded about spending the first 14 years of her life in the humid South (mostly Memphis) that she became the queen of air conditioning! When we were kids, we lived in Los Angeles and had the A/C units you put in a window. There was one in the master bedroom (for Mom...Dad is from L.A. and is happy with shade and a cold beer) and one in the dining room near the kitchen entrance. The kids' rooms didn't have A/C, so if Mom was blasting the cold air, we would go to our rooms and open the window (and sometimes sneak out through the window to a friend's house, heh-heh). When Dad lived in the desert, he had a "swamp" cooler that humidified and cooled the air but never turned his house into a fridge! To this day, I'm not a fan of air conditioning, but I do enjoy fans!! We live near the coast, north of San Francisco, and we love this climate! Hubby the Droid grew up in this area. There's no A/C in our house, just ceiling fans upstairs. Give me an open window, a fan, and iced tea (or a wine cooler...not into beer), and I'm a campy hamper!!

I think I am going to tak to somebody about back surgery. The ablations on my back didn't work. I bought that Elf soft glam foundation annd enjoy it very much. I have dry skin ,so proper skin prep with glowy products and wow!

Hi my sweet Mary. It's been extremely hot here in PA. We never experienced a Spring. What are we going to do with Shy Guy? I thought he would have quit smoking when you did. I recently purchased the new Elf foundation. At first, I wasn't a fan. I played around with it, and found it works better without a primer. I'm also liking their new SPF lipgloss. I think I'd skip the Bronzing drops. I wasn't a fan of the NYX Butta Bronzer. I found it to be chalky, and hard to blend. I did order the new blush. Hmm. Now I kind of wish I didn't. I need to try the dewy setting spray. I use the regular one now. Fabulous look as always. Have a great weekend. Lots of love.❤❤🫶

OMG ... well he DID quit when I did BUT he only lasted 2 years. That was 19 years ago! I've been quit 19 years on July 4th! I've not watched any reviews on the Buttermelts and I'm wondering is everybody else having them this hard to blend or is it just me? YIKES I hate them! I hope you have a great weekend too Rene!!

@GlitzyFritzy Congratulations on being smoke free for 19 years! My mom was 4 packs a day. But when she was in her 40s, they found a lump in her breast. Luckily it was benign, but she quit cold turkey right then and there. I haven't heard of anyone liking the Butta bronzer. The consensus is that it's chalky, and hard to blend. I ordered the blush from Ulta, but have a feeling that I'm not going to like it either. Stay cool. The weather has been brutal. 🌞🌡🥵

Love the soft glam foundation on my 59-year-old combo/oily skin. Lasts 10 hours. Hate the bronzing drops. Streaky, patchy, and makes my face look dirty. I've found a way to use them by mixing them into the foundations I have that are too light. So at least I didn't completely waste my money. Even drugstore is too expensive to just throw away.

Hey Mary;). Pretty look. Loved how it all turned out. I liked those little pink puffs, too bad not as soft as the black one. So, dont think I'll ever try those bronzing drops. Too patchy. Drugstore makeup is comparable to high end these days. Im a cold climate type person, so 73 for a/c is good for me. Summer is not my fav season 😂😂😂. Wilting. 🤪. Glad to see you!!!! We got up to 111° here about a week ago, and I was out in it a lot trying to keep my chickens alive. I'm not a summer gal, lol! My AC goes no higher than 76° in the daytime, and I set it at 70° at night for good sleeping.

I just bought those Elf drops and I don’t like it either, it doesn’t come out as liquid drops comes out very thick. I too tried that NYX bronzer and didn’t like it either, color had way too much red in it for me. Yup hot here in Texas, today’s high 96. You always have the gift of making things work for you, loving your hair the way you styled it❤❤❤

Hi Mary, thanks for the video! I can't use most NYX and e.l.f. complexion products because they contain fragrance. That said, the Holy Hydration cream does come in a fragrance free version. I haven't tried it, but I wanted to mention that. I've seen several positive reviews, and many positive comments, about the e.l.f. Cosmetics Soft Glam Satin Foundation and the NYX Buttermelt blushes and bronzers. Again, products I can't try because of fragrance - very frustrating. The e.l.f. foundation doesn't have added fragrance, but it has hibiscus extract, which is fragrant. And the NYX products definitely have added fragrance. My very dry, sensitive skin does make it difficult to find good products.

The only upside of those drops might be, is that I’m outside a lot in the summer & instead of buying a foundation that’s darker when my face is tan, add those drops to my foundation enough to match my summer skin

My air is on 67. If I get a little cold I put on a sweater. If I don't keep it cool the house will get to hot..

Oh I'd be a popsicle for sure but you know I'm glad to hear so many people keep their air lower than I do because it makes me feel like there is nothing wrong with me LOL

I want to try the lipgloss! I use a lip tinted sunscreen from Sunbum that's pretty good. Do you know of a cheaper bronzer that is the same shade as the CT?

No like Charlotte Jackie but if you want something cheap and just a bit darker I like e.l.f. Primer Infused Bronzer in Forever Sunkissed

I put that foundation in the same shade light cool but it made me look very yellow. I have a hard time with foundations. I’m between fair and light and slightly pink tone and I hate anything yellow on me and I put that on and I look like I was jaundice and I’m already dealing with pancreas issues so I don’t need to look jaundiced 😊

Yikes...I put you in my prayer journal Cathy. I don't know what those issues are about but it doesn't sound good. I checked the one I have to make sure I didn't write it down wrong and I have 20 Light Cool which doesn't pull yellow. I'm getting ready to put it on again to go to the store and I will pay really close attention to it.

@@GlitzyFritzy Thanks so very much Mary. My CT showed something on my pancreas so I just had an MRI and am waiting for the results. Thankfully IO am not jaundiced at all.Yup the foundation was yellow on me which makes no sense being Light cool.I wonder if it was mismarked by any chance

Hey Mary! I’m anxious to hear more about the foundation after you’ve used it a while. It looked beautiful on your skin, but then everything does. Wanna trade?😂 What color is the lip sunscreen? I looked at them online but don’t know for sure. I like how it looked on you. Thanks for the elf review. Btw, any particular reason for changing the music at the end? Thank you LIsa...I've worn this foundation about 4 times now and I still really like it especially for $8!!! I had to login and see what that color was on the balm because even with a magnifying glass I still can't read their labels LOL it is in the shade "Pink Me" and I LOVER it! And I lover you too!

Ultimately, were you happy with th foundation shade? We're about the same shade. I first bought a fair shade which was too light and then i bought the light neutral shade which was too dark. I can mix them and get a pretty good match, but either with a sponge or a brush, I'm just not getting great results with this one.

Yes Karen I'm happy with 20 Light Cool for the shade. I'm enjoying it with my face very hydrated and applying with a sponge the best :D

As a general rule, I don't like bronzing drops. I don't think they apply well, and I don't think they usually look good on anyone as a result.

Hi Mary. I hope you, shyguy and your family are all well. You said in a previous video that you would prefer to know why subscribers just disappear. I haven't watched you for a couple of months and I feel uncomfortable explaining my reasons, but here goes. I unsubscribed quite a while ago mainly because of the constant begging for money whilst claiming that you're terribly poor, and partly because of the religious unconscious bias. Today I thought, 'oh gosh, I've been too hard on Mary, I should give her another chance', so I start watching your latest video. Within the first 3 minutes you mentioned that you had accepted $75 from a viewer and then immediately go on to explain how much money you waste on air conditioning whilst sitting in the house with a blanket. Do you see the contradiction between your words and actions? In all good conscience, I cannot support such perceived incongruence. And so it is with great regret that once again I depart whilst wishing you the very best as always. Anna x

Anna, I was so excited to see you that my heart leap when I saw you because I've missed you and I was thrilled to see you were here and OK! Naturally, as you no doubt know, my heart then sank. I understand and thank you so much for letting me know, I truly appreciate that you took the time to explain even though it was uncomfortable for you. I hope you will see my reply and know that I've cherished you and I'm sad I won't see you anymore. As for the question which was probably rhetorical ... I may decide to make a video explaining the perceived "poor begging" as it is a lot to unpack here in the comment section without visual aids AND I want to make sure anybody else who may think this understands what is actually meant. I think of you almost every day, wondering how you are and what you've been up to. I was so happy to see you looking so well. Your scar is healing beautifully. No, no please don’t feel like that. It is good for us to hear things, especially when we are asked for it. I have often wondered if people thought I was begging for money and usually where there is one person who will say it there are 10 more who will not.
