I love NI and I love Roland TR machines, but this should have been either given for free or bundled with something much more significant. These drum machines been sampled to death already..
I noticed NI keeps coming up with expansions, but no word what so ever on Maschine +. I've been debating on grabbing one but thus far have not been able to do it because it seems like it's a one and done. I think they are basically getting out of the "groove box" market and will stick with expansions.
Are you able to load these expansions onto the Machine + or are they for the daw only? The MPC seems like a much better deal especially with all the built in synths
Personally, If you are interested in Maschine and don't mind using a computer, I'd go with a MK3. I haven't used the + in standalone mode in a long time.
The expansions can be downloaded directly to the Maschine +. The Maschine plus does have Kontakt and Massive built in. You just can't use 3rd party libraries or any other libraries that aren't already on it.
