this is the one i've been dreaming of since Yamaha Mt-07. The best one for me. I think this bike will be the funniest Monster torque Fahrrad to ride on the city streets! waiting to see more new videos with it!
Did they have to repost the video because of all the negative comments towards the new design in the last video? Lol They could just name the new bike something else to keep the monster line pure. #notamonster
Oh my god what a good bike !!! A lot of innovation, a lot of technology, what a beautiful line. Is it a Japanese motorcycle? NO! Is it a Brutale? NO! Is it a monster? DEFINITELY NOT. So what is it? DUCATI, YOU HAVE NOT RESPECTED ANYTHING, neither the name nor the essence.
Way to go ducati. I like it, its time for something new and different! Miles ahead of what other's are doing as usual. It will catch on, and going to see a ton of these things! Definitely getting one.
@@levicharles996 BS. There's a heck of a lot more to a motorcycle than its frame design. Aren't you forgetting the 40 lb weight reduction on the new bike, partly enabled by the frame change? I've done a personal project Ducati where 50 lbs were removed; everything was improved dynamically. Everything.
@@rlsedition Yea I understand weight savings is huge. But I think everyone can agree that trellis frame, especially painted red is iconic. I rather have the valve spring set up than desmo on this bike. I own a M620 and that thing is stupid light compared today’s bikes, 35,000 miles of fun.
@@levicharles996 Maybe Ducati pushed some of their product features a little too aggressively, like the trellis frames and desmodromics, only to drop them recently on some models. It's always a fight between marketing and product engineering - do you make changes when new/better technology is discovered? Do you sit on a design forever or do you re-imagine the look every so often? Tough calls, to be sure. OBTW, your M620 is WAY out of date, product-wise. Don't demo a new bike; I think you'll want one.
So we have the best selling line up with the monster 797, 821 and 1200. Three models with great design, characteristics and different sizes for everyone. The perfect "classic" line up in my opinion out there, just something different and special besides all the other brands. So what can we do? Ducati knows: lets combine them to a "all-in-one" boring standard looking bike without character, just so we blend in with the japanese brands. And for the real Ducati bikers out there, we now have the "plus" Version with extra plastic covers and some fancy looking stickers. I mean come on, thats the new Monster line up? Shame on you Ducati. This bike does not deserve the "Monster" tag. Luckily i got my Monster 1200 S back in 2020, gues i keep it for a while.
Yamaha mt07 with headlight from mv agusta brutale. In pursuit of decreasing mass, Ducati is losing its uniqueness and attractiveness. The aluminum frame is already there. We are waiting for in-line four with traditional DOHC
Looks fantastic. I will miss the frame of my old monster but the weight savings, performance, and gearing make this a massive leap. People can be as mad as they would like, but to compete in the class this had to be done. The only other options for weight savings would have drove the cost up substantially and made it even less of a monster.
Is it me or reminds me of the z900. Apart from that, the bike looks great but there's almost nothing remained from the traditional monster...as no identity but will sell more that's for sure. You take the word "monster" and you have yourself a beautiful sports bike..
This is an entry level Ducati. They never put Ohlins on those. Assuming, with the name change, there will be a Monter S or R with a bigger Engine, Ohlins, Lighter Wheels, etc.
Not everyone likes the design...but this thing is a beast. I love the cleaner look and weight savings, although the exhaust aesthetic could be refined. Finally nailed the headlight look too. I’d love the chance to rip around on this one.
Why is it called a Monster? In motorcycle terms it is not a "monster" isnt it, its more like a gacell or ninja, but by no means a "monster".. Apart from the opposing name, the bike sounds very interesting and fresh
It was a monster ... that thing is not a monster it’s a Japanese bike wanabee... wtf Ducati ..... you are destroying your designs ... where is the designers did you fire them ?????
Why why why??? You should remove it from the market. That's not Ducati anymore. Keep doing this and Ducati will go in to administration soon I'm afraid. Who approved this design to be manufactured should be kicked out at the same time with the stupid person who designed. 🤮🤮🤮
And as awesome as this looks, I think the 821 and 1200 should stay in production and unchanged! That way your customers have several options to choose from. And yes, we are waiting for the V2 streetfighter we keep hearing about!
@@tjrong13 Perhaps Ducati put too much attention on individual design elements (like the trellis frame) instead of the overall purpose of the bike? It appears to me what they've done is return the machine to its core values of simplicity, accessibility and fun, in the context of 2020 realities. What's being debated here is how they've accomplished those goals.
ugly as hell ....y have old 1100 and its light too, even with monster frame .... y even do not like loks of 1200 so next bike will me S4RS because its nice ,fast and its a monster....not this suzuki
1. Mono Braccio 2. Marmitte sotto il sedile 3. Frizione a SECCO
The 821 was the last beauty that you made ..... now no one will buy this shit ..... wtf I was watering to get a monster now I have to get the 821 .. before prices go up do to the shirt new design ....
@@rlsedition it’s style and originality, sure this is faster and lighter than a previous monster, but it’s really visually standard. And I think KTM uses a tubular chassis in motogp, and it looks like it still is light and efficient.
@@RomainWhatever I'm sure there were contentious management meetings within Ducati when it came to replacing the trellis with the "front frame"; however, their overriding goal was substantial weight reduction, which improves every dynamic trait of the machine. In motoGP, KTM has finally been able to compete effectively after several years of trying. Good for them, but it could be despite their trellis frame concept, not because of it. We're not close enough to the action to know.
It's Yes because you see buy at 11200 or 11500€ a motorcycle i have now it doesn't even have the name, not in much sense because not to the treliccio or the monoarm the bike is all forward "like the Japanese", but now the z800 to the treliccio 🙄😳🤫, the cb1000 the mono arm 😤😳🤫 the mt03 all the electronics of the 🤔🤔😒 world, and a cross done wrong of the Cagiva Raptor"and I liked" brutal three cylinders first suzuki series sv650 , to then have the led lights 🤷🤦😶 is a stylistic cross between the Diavel for the forward projection of the engine of the super sport "something the year right" the frame of the street fighter that is ugly as hunger but on a motorcycle like the one meaning " only that neither to the V2 QUADRO engine because if not they did not sell v4 , the fork of the multi-road motorcycle ride of the cynical scrambler "as pale as few". This bike IS NOT A MONSTER but a Mach bè anonymously at least avoided in Ducati to get all the insults. But you can put the 125 stickers on the tank.🤦🙄😤😒😶. Dear Ducati "dear in every sense" good luck from a fan of the brand. Ps when you make a Monster I'll come and sell it at the dealership
@@rlsedition listen if u like it Snd but I own a Ducati monster 1200r and it would leave that in its dust, one engine now why is that because of the streetfighter nice one Audi 👌
@@dukedaz8920 Unless we're racing on a track, I could care less if your Monster R could "leave this new Monster in the dust". We're talking about riding on the street. I owned a Monster 1200 for a couple of years, so I'm somewhat familiar with the model. When Ducati already has two naked bikes with big HP motors (Streetfighter V4 and Diavel 1260 V-twin), tell me why they need a Monster V4 or 1260? Too much model overlap.
